Did not have lunch this day, but that does NOT detract from how good, how fast, and how YUMMERZ this burrito was. This was a hole in the wall place for the longest, as this did not show up on google maps up until recently (AFAIK). Regardless, this burrito got clomped in five seconds from me. The environment was also very clean, and very surprisingly spacious. The star was their steak burrito. Price was alright - I believe I bought the burrito for $13 dollars or so, which was good for SF stanards. This was a delicious spot for a filling lunch! I dropped by with a couple friends on a weekday for lunch during our visit to SF. Fortunately, this location is conveniently located a block away from a train station. We entered the small storefront and joined the line of other hungry patrons. There is a man in the back who takes your order and cooks it himself. He had a helper and they were very efficient! I received my food only a few minutes after placing the order. My friends opted for the burritos and I tried a quesadilla with al pastor meat. The food came out hot and fresh and there were different salsas and pico available to customize it. I needed a good amount of salsa for my quesadilla, which wasn't too flavored but the meat was delicious and I enjoyed the warm, crispy tortilla. I tried a little of my friend's burrito and it was delicious!! I will definitely get that if I stop by again. I would recommend this spot for the portion sizes - the order was enough for two meals for me! They are quick and have no frills at this spot - it's just all about the food. Wow this was easily the worst taqueria I've been to in SF. The burrito was cold after 2 bites, lots of inconsistencies between our two burritos, and overall unflavorful. My Al pastor itself was yummy and i like that it was extra crispy but the rice was bland and the salsas were gross. The vegetarian burrito was basically all uncooked onion and cilantro. All I can say is "WOW". This might be one of the best deals in SF in terms of price, quantity of food, and taste. I came here on a Sunday night, ordering to go, and there was a short line. The place itself was cozy enough although don't expect any frills. This place is focused on the food. There were plenty of options on the menu but I had to go for the wet burrito. I actually asked for half chicken and half al pastor. Not only were they more than happy to accommodate, but they gave me a ton of meat! You can further customize by tortilla type (note they'll default to normal tortilla unless you ask), beans in the burrito (black, pinto, refried), and toppings. I like it spicy so I asked for green salsa. The guac was a bit different (more liquidy) than I'm used to, but still tasty. I was actually a bit concerned that getting a wet burrito to go may not work out well, but the way they ensure the burrito is HOT and how they add everything into the plastic container made it travel well! The burrito was MASSIVE. I'm a huge eater and was hungry at the time. Still, I ended up in a food coma after consuming maybe 2/3 of the monster burrito. And I paid ~$17 after tax! I have been here about five times because it is in my neighborhood. I asked the guy making my burritos to take off the lettuce and he threw them both out! I am afraid to order from here in case I say my order wrong. Best way to order is to ignore the menu on the wall, and just tell them what you want directly. All that being said, I have decided from now on to get my burritos from Pancho Villa or El Farolito. ( They are not much further away). After seeing that they had an actual pastor spit, I had to order their AL PASTOR SUPER BURRITO ($12.95). I somehow missed that the burrito comes with a spicy red salsa and finely chopped jalapeños, which gave everything a kick that dampened my enjoyment. That said, I won't penalize them for my pitiful spice tolerance, especially because the meat was some of the best pastor I've had around here. I also thought the flour tortilla was above average, and enjoyed the use of melted sliced cheese over traditional shredded. Otherwise, everything else was standard, with relatively bland rice and beans and indiscernible guac. Sorry to say there was nothing good about it. Stepped to the counter and the two cooks were annoyed by something. After all my adventures through the menu, my favorite item still rocks. Super burrito with black beans and carnitas, Dorado (grilled) style. They do a different style carnitas here. Not fried like the authentic Mexican dish. They braise their pork in liquid. I saw them preparing it today, pouring it out of a big pot with it's tasty sauce. Black beans help give texture, since the pork is fork tender. The same goes for getting the burrito grilled. You need the crisp edges for contrast. And their green salsa? I really enjoyed eating at this restaurant because it was my first burrito after a really long time, and I, in general, really like Mexican food. I struggled to find the location at first, but it's located near a Safeway and the sign outside is really clear. Although the streets do not make the location as clear as it could be. Parking is not super ideal, but you can probably park at the Safeway and walk 3 minutes down. For $15, I paid for a chicken soup or burrito including dip and tax, and I thought that price was okay. It will last me 2 meals because the portions are pretty big. It's not the biggest restaurant location inside with the number of chairs, but it's a really great place for people who want to hang out with their friends or grab a quick to-go snack. The service was fine. I don't think it was particularly impressive or particularly bad in any way. When my order was coming out a little late, the waiter actually came and checked that we had gotten my food. He rushed the order when he saw that I still hadn't gotten my super burrito after about 10 minutes of waiting. I think it's a great place if you want to come and just grab a quick dinner. It's probably not the place you want to be if you want a fine dining or a really serious date night. But otherwise, it's okay to eat at. read more

This is a no-frills Mexican restaurant and it serves some of the best tacos I've had in the city! I got an Al pastor taco and a fish taco and my boyfriend got an Al pastor burrito. You order and get your food first before paying so you literally see your food being made to order. The Al pastor was flavorful and just an all-around good taco. I have tried numerous times to get what everyone loves about this place and every single time I am disappointed. Reasons: - the quality of the products they use in their burritos are not great. This is especially true with proteins. Quality of meat is not great, the seasoning on the meat is not great and the preparation is also not great. The vegetarian burrito is a bit better but still pretty underwhelming. I've also gone there before and had them say they were out of vegetables. Really? - the proportions and distribution of ingredients in their burritos are poor. I hate when burritos have zones where it's all rice, all beans, all meat.
