    Taco Al Pastor

The best taco tuesday I've found in the city! $2 al pastor tacos all day is a great deal, especially for San Francisco. The tacos themselves were solid-- huge portions of meat on single tortillas (great meat to tortilla ratio). Their salsa/sauce is hot and delicious. I do wish it had more of the other toppings like onions, cilantro, and pineapple, but for $2, I'm not complaining. Service was a bit slow but Mosto did get crowded, so just expect a rush around dinner time. Definitely will be going back, though!!

1 option for vegetarians and tacos are delicious with cheese and cactus. Ambiance is upbeat and music is great. Service is quick.

My boyfriend and I were in the area and stopped by for drinks. I was excited to find a tequila/mezcal bar. The bartender was very nice and greeted us as soon as we sat down. We opted for the "bartenders special" which was a mezcal drink. It wasn't too smoky and was quite refreshing. I also got the claudio. Honestly such a great Mexican old fashioned drink. It was perfect! I will definitely be coming back just for that drink. We also got some chips and guacamole to snack on. The guacamole was very fresh and tasty. It was a great first impression of this place and we will be back!

This place.... Wow. The carnitas tacos blew my mind and the horchata milkshake with tequila was so good. I would definitely come back here in a heartbeat.

A solid HH spot for taco tuesday and cocktails. I've never been to a bar/restaurant with a taco grill right at the bar! It was really fun to watch them putting in taco orders while making libations. This spot is VERY busy, they have indoor and outdoor seating and trust me, almost always the tables are filled. Service is definitely on the slower side here, but totally understandable because of how packed this spot gets. Their tacos are small but VERY good and tons of flavors. I would also recommend getting their guac and chips...AMAZING and they give A LOT of guac.

I'm usually fine paying a lot of money for good food or ambiance but Mosto is not one of those places. We came here for a light dinner and was craving Al pastor tacos. So between two ppl we thought three Al pastor tacos, shrimp cocktail and a beer should probably be enough. The tacos were $5.50 a piece so i just assumed they were gonna be normal sized. But to my dismay when the "tray" of tacos came, my jaw dropped when i saw three teacup miniature sized tacos that look like they came out of those miniature food cooking videos on Instagram/tiktok. I actually thought our server was playing a joke on us bc this wouldn't even be enough to feed a small toddler. See the photo below, one taco was only slightly bigger in diameter than a saltine cracker. at this point I'm thinking, these tacos must be the best Al pastor tacos outside of Mexico seeing as how i am paying $16.50 for three bites. But again not the case. They were just okay and I was left wishing I went to chipotle or even Taco Bell instead. Also to add... at this price point I would much prefer Tacko or Nicks crispy tacos, which to be honest are more delicious and also better value. The shrimp cocktail was not bad but for $13.50 I expected it to at least come with some chips or crackers placed on a dish instead of a few packaged saltines. The service was good (hence I gave them 2 stars otherwise it'd be 1) but I wish they had warned me abt the size of the tacos. I will def not be coming back here as the standout item at Mosto was the saltines and I can get those at Walgreens for $3.

I don't know how I forgot about this place, (but I guess I haven't been to the Mission since COVID) and freaked out when I realized what if they already closed?? After one quick search on Yelp and I'm just so glad to see they're still around. I used to come here every Tuesday for Happy Hour-- and after all these years, I'm still in love with this place. It's a pretty small and dim space but one thing I love is their unique ceiling design! Service is fast and efficient as well. But ofc, I LOVE their Al Pastor tacos so much! The portions are so generous, holds so much flavor, and the sauce is just cherry on top! Will continue to recommend and support this business! Imo, it's so much better than the taco place right next door to it. Hehe

Fantastic happy hour spot, especially on a Tuesday. Delicious margaritas and even better al pastor tacos. The space is small but we've never had a problem getting seated pretty quickly, especially if you don't mind sitting at the bar. Not recommended for larger groups. Service is friendly and efficient.

This is a solid Taco Tuesday spot! Al pastor tacos are $2 each every Tuesday 5-7pm. The al pastor here is super flavorful, tender, and juicy. I wasn't even planning on getting too many tacos, but I easily ended up eating seven tacos. The happy hour margaritas are decent, although not too memorable or highly exceptional. Each table also gets some complimentary fried chickpeas, which the server refilled for us automatically once we were running low. One thing I wish I had known earlier was how clubby the vibe here was. I came here to catch up with some friends, and we found it a bit difficult to hear each other over the loud music that was blasting. So don't come here expecting a chill, low-key ambiance, and you'll be just fine! All in all though, we still had a great time and devoured way too many tacos.

What time do they actually close?? The wife and I arrived there yesterday at 10.50, sat down and told they had closed? They directed us next door :/

Can you order the al pastor tacos if you're eating at tacolicious next door?

I have dined here many times in the past, and this is a cash-only restaurant. I ordered the Regular Burrito with Beef Steak ($10.25). The regular burrito comes with a flour tortilla, rice, beans, salsa, onions, and cilantro, plus your choice of meat or vegetarian. Meat choices listed on the menu: * Al Pastor - Marinated Pork * Carnitas - Deep Fried Pork * Chile Verde - Pork Green Sauce * Chorizo - Mexican Sausage * Carne Asada - Steak * Lengua - Beef Tongue * Pollo - Chicken * Cabeza - Beef Head * Tripas - Intestines I asked the cashier which meat was most popular, and he recommended the beef steak, which had a slight hint of spiciness. The burrito came with pinto beans and rice. I forgot to ask if I could substitute black beans. The burrito wasn't too salty, and the beef steak was just okay. I also think the $10.25 Carne Asada burrito is a good deal. At other taquerias, carne asada is often an additional charge or the burrito costs more when you choose steak. I usually ask for a receipt even when paying cash. When I checked my receipt, I noticed I was charged an additional $0.25 for "Bolsa To Go" (bag) even though I was dining in and didn't receive a to-go bag. It's not about the $0.25, but I think it's important for a business to have integrity and charge customers only for what they actually receive. I hope this isn't something being charged to other dine-in customers as well. Overall, I would come back to try a different meat, but next time I'll make sure to clearly say dine-in and check my receipt to make sure I wasn't charged for a to-go bag.

We ordered two super burritos of asada dorado style, with a cheese quesadilla, and chips and salsa. The prices were ok. The burritos were great. Smaller than I was expecting but I know these economic days I get it. The asada had great seasoning, the salsa was great, guac was fresh and the dorado style made it perfect. The quesadilla was ok. Not my favorite, but decent. Probably won't order it again unless I add meat. Chips and salsa were good. Only complaint is the salsa is fresh and watery. So if you don't eat it quick, or separate the chips, the chips will get soggy from all the water that drops to the bottom of the chip basket. Overall a great experience. I am not a fan of long lines, but I'm glad they have the food that brings people to the mission district. I'll come back on their off hours.
