What a lucky find! The food was delicious (one of the best Greek salad I've had, with tofu- ) I fully enjoyed it. My husband ordered eggs and ham and said they were perfectly done. The Kneas Cafe is our favorite place in Kalispell Montana that serves Breakfast and Linch. It is a small with a wonderful knowledgeable staff and fantastic food that never disappoints! Every time we have gone here we have been greeted by staff, menus and the coffee we order comes quickly. Our servers offer suggestions when asked and really know their Menus & Specials that they explain them with ease if asked for details. The staff was upbeat, energetic and really appeared to be flowing as a team. The food was great, and we were there before 10am and we were able to order from the breakfast and lunch menu. I think the lesson is, you can't and won't go wrong. The portions are not only large and intense, but they do a great job of letting flavors fly and compliment each other. The Sante Fe Hash, the Veggie Breakfast Burrito and Black bean quinoa falafel wrap were all loved. Visiting Kalispell and we discovered this amazing place for breakfast. Friendly service, and great ambiance (cool pics on the walls and cool music being played). Awesome vibe. Most importantly, the food was phenomenal with some delicious original dishes. Very rare that I cannot finish what is put in front of me, but the portions were huge!. Came with fresh fruit and a generous portion of bacon on the side. Menu says it is TWO WAFFLES but it was really HALF A WAFFLE with two squares from a waffle make that does 4 squares per waffle! That was really my only complaint. Ordered the "sticky toffee pudding" and it was good but it was more like chocolate cake with a hint of toffee inside. This place totally baffles me with it's close to 5 star ratings. They are located in a older building with several business crowded on top of each other. There's no outdoor seating. We did call to check that they were open because we were driving out of our way to try it out. It was listed as a gluten free option restaurant. The only breakfast item that ended up being listed gluten free was the quiche. They did have gluten free rice tortillas. I decided to order a salad since the server didn't seem too sure about the quiche ingredients. We ended up taking it to go since the atmosphere was stuffy ( no ventilation) My salad was slimy and definitely nothing special. No fun local food options like other places in Montana. We passed through Kalispell on our way to Missoula, and stopped for lunch at The Knead Cafe. There was a bit of a wait when we arrived (around 11:35 A.M. on a Thursday), and you basically just wait for a table to open and then grab it, but it didn't take long to get a table (maybe 30 minutes). Our server was very pleasant and helpful. We tried the carnitas burrito, a carnitas burrito in a bowl too, tomato basil soup, curry coconut chicken soup, the Albuquerque Turkey sandwich, and the strawberry rhubarb crepes. Everything was delicious, and the servings were large. The place was packed, and I spoke with a local who told me this is his favorite place to eat in town. The only downside we experienced was a lack of attentiveness by our server after we received our food. We had trouble getting more water and hot sauce, but otherwise, we had a great experience. I would give The Knead Cafe a 4.5 out of 5 (if you could give a 4.5). read more

For those who may be apprehensive about sitting close to others in a restaurant, this is not the place for you right now. The interior is small and there is not proper distancing between tables. That said, masks were worn by staff and restaurant capacity is low so I felt better than if we had been in a crowded bar. I ordered a coffee and the veggie Benedict. The veggie Benedict had tomatoes and spinach and the Benedict portion was really good with well-cooked eggs and flavorful Hollandaise sauce. The potatoes were a little lackluster and needed some seasoning (or more pan frying), in my opinion, but they weren't the star of the plate. Service was overall friendly and attentive, but we did have a hard time flagging down our waitress to pay the bill at the end. Would definitely come back if I were in the area again. read more

The service was fantastic, and the coffee (Colter Coffee) was absolutely perfect after a long travel day. Hubs got the Cuban Reuben, no cheese (duh), and I got the chicken souvlaki wrap with no cheese as well. They brought an avocado spread over and some dairy free sauces to go with our eats. Side salads for both of us, and everything was super fresh (... and filling). 1/2 the wrap was for sure a take-home, and so good.
