Excellent service and quality food. Stevie was our fabulous waitress that made sure we got our happy hour drinks and food order in. Mussels very tender, pizza tasty and crab eggrolls had lots of crab. Plentiful salads before the entrees. Odd but no bread for the table. I think we went the second night open. Very excited because live across the street. It was set up well and clean of course. Lisa was bartending, very pleasant. We found out later that they do have a HH. The menu looked better than any HH around. We got the crab cakes. 10 out 10!!! Best I've had in YEARS and the best in MB. Finally got here with some friends. All employees were nice, including the owner who was outside tending to the pit beef. The cream of crab soup was delicious and reminded me of back home in Maryland. I could taste the hint of sherry, and it had just the right amount of Old Bay, and plenty of crabmeat. $9 for a cup might be a tad steep, however. My one friend really wanted the duck wings, but they were out. She got the calamari and said it was good. My other friend and I got the pit beef, which they do once a month for us transplanted Marylanders. We actually got the beef/turkey combo. The meat had good flavor, but it was cut a bit too thin and seemed shaved or chipped in places, which made it dry. Regardless, we enjoyed, and they had a fixins bar right inside. Also came with a side order of fries which weren't bad, although a bit cold. No issue from the server when we easier for the check to be split 3 ways. There was a very large party sitting parallel to the bar, and my one friend had a mobility device, and it was hard for him to get by as there wasn't really ample room. That area is definitely too crowded. A wheelchair would never have made it through there. Overall, we enjoyed and will try crab cake and pizza next time. read more

We heard about this place from several people so we were looking forward to the crab cakes. They absolutely lived up to the hype. My wife and I split the 8 oz one and it was delicious. Just barely enough sauce/bread crumbs to hold it together, placed on a large water cracker and then broiled perfectly. There were plenty of large chunks crab. It was great. At the table we also got the Gorgonzola walnut salad and the crab cake pizza. The salad was very good with the biggest/best candied walnuts I have ever had on a salad. The pizza was a tasty surprise, big chunks of their signature crab cake on a nice pizza. The slightly sweet tomato sauce was a nice compliment to the crab cake. All the desserts were very good too: key lime pie, blueberry cheesecake, and cannoli. The pie and cheesecake slices were huge, definitely shareable. Cannoli was one of the better ones I have had; crispy shell, creamy sweet filling with just enough chocolate chips to enhance it and not overwhelm. Valentine's Day we had a party of eight we arrived. We were informed the kitchen was down due to a propane issue. There were people sitting and waiting for the truck to arrive to fill the propane after we were all seated, they gave us complementary appetizer, which was very nice. We talked for approximately 15 minutes. They took our order and within 10 minutes later everyone had their meal. Everything was very delicious and portions were generous at the end of the meal after dessert was served they brought a rose with baby breath to all of the ladies at the table, which was unexpected, but very, very nice just extending our thank you for a memorable evening. read more

This was a basic margarita pizza. Prepared and cooked on a stone. The young man making it seems to really enjoy what he is doing. He tossed, and stretched the dough just right. Added the toppings and put it in the oven. It came out crispy and chewy. I would have preferred it to be on the brick a little longer but that's my preference. He did a wonderful job. The only hit. The glass got empty, and took a while to get it filled. Luckily they were working as a team, and one If the other waitresses helped out. The attention from our waitress was a little bit lacking. The food here? Absolutely fantastic. Easily some of the best I've had in a while. But the service? Imagine trying to dine in the Bermuda Triangle -- everything (and everyone) just... disappeared. That's why it's 3 stars instead of 5. I get that Friday nights are busy, but somehow every table around us had attentive servers who looked like they were auditioning for "Best Waiter in America," while we apparently got assigned to the magician, because our server pulled off the ultimate disappearing act. It took her 10 minutes just to greet us (long enough for me to memorize the drink menu backwards). After that, she showed up only three more times in the 90+ minutes we were trapped there. I should've rationed my water like I was lost at sea -- turns out that first glass was my only glass. When the food finally arrived, our server pulled off the Houdini of service--POOF, gone. We didn't see her again for another 30+ minutes. By then, we weren't even hungry anymore--we just wanted the check so we could escape like hostages negotiating release terms. Here's the thing: I want to come back, because the food alone deserves fan mail. But bad service is my personal kryptonite. So unless they can guarantee I won't need a search party to find my server, I don't know if I'll risk it again. read more

I was excited to try an Italian restaurant new to the area. The first time we went they were fully booked with reservations. We asked another couple to meet us there. I made a reservation to make sure we weren't turned away. We arrived on time and were seated right away. Took awhile for the server to take our drink order. Then it took awhile for her to take our food order. 25-30 minutes later the salads arrived. The tomatoes were over ripe, but the rest of it was delicious. Our meals finally came and the spaghetti sauce had an odd color to it. I took my first bite and it tasted like macaroni with tomato soup on top. There were no spices what so ever on the sauce. My granddaughter could have made a better sauce in her play kitchen. Very disappointed. My friend got chicken parm and it was burned like it was cooked in the microwave. A wonderful lunch at Casa Mia's. I went in wanting pizza but was so excited to see GF Ravioli on their menu that I couldn't help myself. It did not disappoint! The portion size was also quite large! My husband tried the Bronx sandwich and loved it as well! Though it looks tiny from the outside, they offer bar seating, high tops, and a traditional seating area with booths. Served us drinks, took 2 steps to leave, turns her head half way as she is leaving and asked us are u ready to order? Had an ice tea, had to ask for lemons twice. The Maryland Crab Cakes are real MARYLAND CRAB CAKES, no filler and the lumps of crabmeat can actually be seen! We moved here from Maryland in 1999 and have tried every restaurant that advertised they had Maryland Crab Cakes and left them on our plates, and wanted to tell them to get a can of OLD BAY SEASONING and make them from the recipe on the can. They are good but will not come close to Casa Mia's. Like BRUSSEL SPROUTS? They have them as a starter, cooked in bacon grease, smothered in bacon pieces and I brought have of them home along with the dinner I ordered because they came to our table on a huge oval platter. They are not greasy, just scrumptious. We have been there many times and tried many menu items including their BRICK OVEN PIZZAS, the CRAB CAKE PIZZA is fantastic, just tomato sauce and huge chunks of Crab Meat. It is not cheap, but you get what you pay for and you will not care what the total bill is once you taste their food.
