A good friend and I stopped here for dinner last night. It was kind of late so they were gracious enough to take our order even though the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes. My friend and I are gluten free so we were going to order grilled chicken and salads. My friend wanted pasta so she asked if they had anything gluten free. And to my surprise, they not only did but they had a menu (be it short but still they had one)! We shared the Large Antipasto Italiano which was fresh and very good! We both had grilled chicken parm and the gluten free pasta. I loved my chicken parm but wasn't crazy about the pasta because the sauce/gravy was bland. My friend ordered pasta with vodka sauce but they made her grilled chicken parm with the vodka sauce too. She wasn't crazy about the chicken but loved the pasta with the vodka sauce. I tasted the grilled chicken parm with the vodka sauce and thought it was interesting (def an acquired taste). Staff was nice and accommodating. The owner came out to talk to us about the gluten free dishes. He also informed us that they have gluten free pizza which I'm def going to go back to try. The eat in part of the restaurant is decorated nicely. It is quaint and had nice dining music in the background. I love that there are lights in and outside the restaurant. I called in an order there was a young girl on the other line she told me that it would take 25 minutes so I gave them an extra 5 minutes I went in 30 minutes later and they had no clue about my order I placed. So I showed her my phone that we spoke for a minute back-and-forth ....the guy in the back says it'll take five minutes to make. So as my foods being prepared I said what's the cost going to be and she charge me full price. I'm an avid customer I get delivery's two-three times a week I like the food but I think the service was terrible. I made it known that I was not happy and with the way that they were handling it she went and grab the owner and nothing was done. This is a relatively small local Italian place, and it's sort of cramped, but the food is delicious! Their pizza comes hot and the staff are very nice. The non pizza entrees are also delicious, but my favorite are the desserts. They're very good. read more

We have been ordering from Casa Mia for years! I can't imagine not having them in the area. There pizza is phenomenal! Anyway the service is kinda trash I've been waiting 25 minutes just to order my food and we even had to ask for the waiter. When she got us our drinks she spilt the water on my feet and didn't even notice. Very good quality pizza - especially when considering it was cooked up so quickly! We ordered at the counter for a plain pie to go and they were sliding one across the counter to us in less than a minute. I didn't pay attention to the parking situation as we didn't drive a car over, but I have to note that Casa Mia - along with a few of the other small shops and restaurant in the immediate area - is perfect if you have a boat and want to dock it and then take a stroll through town. Guys behind the counter work very efficiently, but they're also extremely casual and friendly (they let us walk in barefoot). Wouldn't mind coming back for a sit-down meal at all. read more

Great location right in the White Deer Plaza in Sparta. The pizza is delicious - and tons of variety! The Lemon Chicken pizza and the white pizza are to-die-for. Love Casa Mia, very informal, but really Italian food! We just moved here and was so happy to find a pepper and egg sandwich and good pizza. Gets very noisy but it is fun. Really good Italian food. Outside dining wait staff is very personal nice size portions. This restaurant is located on a very busy corner so there is a lot of vehicle traffic but the food is well worth the noises caused be the vehicles. Eggplant rolintine is tremendous and the chicken parmigiana is fantastic. Definitely worth the trip. read more

This is by far the worst pizza place in Sparta. We live in Lake Mohawk and every few years we ask ourselves "why don't we ever go to Casa Mia?" and every few years we're reminded. The service is bad, like really, really bad. The girl behind the counter is curt and rude, rolled her eyes for is asking a question, definitely didn't appear to be listening and low and behold, our simple counter pizza order was wrong. The pizza itself is pretty flavorless and was mushy, we threw away most of our order. I wouldn't recommend patronizing this establishment when there are great options like Uncle Sal's and Villa Capri II. read more

I recommend their thin crust "low carb" pizza paired with a house salad if you're looking for something on the lighter side. Have to give this a 2 star only because; Waitress rather arrogant. Not an inviting feeling when greeted. Bus boy not experienced. I have a real problem when servers hold a glass at the rim where our mouths touch. Food so-so, not consistent . You might get lucky on an occasional stop for a plain piece of pizza. Okay, I can no longer recommend even the pizza. The sauce has no flavor. None. But you'll have trouble finding it anyhow underneath the thick mat of rubbery, gummy cheese. We were in a pinch - on foot with a stroller and had no choice but to grab some random slices. The type and topping made no difference. Everything tastes like stretchy, sloppy paste. This place is just horrific, which is a terrible shame given its potentially 5-star location in the plaza (which is the only reason it attracts business). Head out of the plaza to Frank's by the theater if you want real NJ pizza. But if choking down thick, rubbery and tasteless cheese is your thing, your in for a real treat at Casa Mia! read more

Great food but the rude little teenagers they have answering the phones and at the register have absolutely NO manners or customer service skills whatsoever. No thank you, no warm welcome,no friendly conversation... NOTHING. Having had both delivery and eating in at this restaurant, I can say that they are amazing. Their pizza is probably some of the best I've ever had in NJ, and on par with some of the greats in NYC. Wife and I drove out to Mohawk lake from Newton, NJ on a gorgeous autumn day earlier this month. We did the "google" thing and discovered Casa Mia. It was a wonderful experience. This place is small and maybe what you might call "a dive." Pizza by the slice was on display but we chose to sit down in the back. Our food was everything we expected from this old school red sauce restaurant which unfortunately, we don't have in Austin, Texas. Staff was helpful and attentive (thanks again Nick!). We will visit this place again if we are ever back to Newton. read more

My husband and I order take out from Casa Mia often. Some menu items are better than others. I am not a fan of they regular pizza....way to thick and too much cheese. Their think crust on the other hand is delish! I am also a fan of their pasta dishes especially the cavatelli and broccoli. My husband is a fan of the chicken roll and the chicken parm. Had food catered from here for a local event. The half trays barely covered the bottom of the tray. They said the half trays would feed 10 people. More like 5 at the most. We ordered several different types of half trays. All were not even close to being even half full. Also, the food was just ok at best. We ordered a large tray of sandwiches. Don't bother.
