We had a party for my boyfriend's birthday in the back room and Maria and John truly went above and beyond, to the point Maria got a ladder to help me put up a sign and balloons! 35 people and not one person had a single bad thing to say, not that I thought they would! I had my wife's memorial dinner here, after the funeral. It was a huge money grab for them. Owner was rude and dismissive. Shameful. The food was absolutely terrible. Tiny portions and dried out. It was like they reheated last week's leftovers. Overall, not an honorable business. Steer clear of this restaurant. I don't know what happened it used to be a nice place. read more

This place treats you like family! We had my Mother's Memorial dinner here, and couldn't have been more pleased. They prepared antipasto, pizza, wings and drinks for 50 people. So I go to Casa Nova to pick up a half tray tonight. I ordered a few months ago and the owner tried scamming me on the price of toppings on the pizza. We got into a bit it. I tell him, you know what, keep the pizza I don't even want it. I go to pick up tonight "hey I got a pick up under Bob" the nephew of the owner replies "Bob (last name)?!" I said yup, how'd you even know the last name I didn't leave a last name. He said it came up on the caller ID. I said I didn't call off of "bobs phone". He gets my food and proceeds to tell me "my uncle wanted me to tell you don't ever order from this restaurant ever again!" We had some choice words between each other. This family is the lowest of the low. This means the nephew got in contact with his uncle who wasn't there and communicated some how that "Bob (last name) just ordered food". The uncle relayed a message to his nephew to give me a message to never order from their place ever again. Great business these guys conduct. No wonder they're only open 20 hours a week. 4 hours a night. and the parking lot is often empty. If it wasnt for their regulars, they wouldn't exist.. The entire establishment went straight downhill after the old man passed away. They have no idea how to talk to customers. They can't seem to run a business successfully. They might think they have a successful business, but I've been in the restaurant industry for 18 years, and being open 4 hours a night shows they can't run a business (yes, there are restaurants that that only need to be open 4 hours a night to pull in profits) Do yourself a favor, don't order from this place. Don't support a family that doesn't treat their customers how they should be treated. They're extremely over priced. I paid over $20 for a half tray with just half pepperoni. I also know a friend that worked there for some time, and you're not getting fresh sauce,hardly ever. . It's usually 1-3 days old (because of their hours) when they pour it on top of your raviolis or spaghetti and meatballs. Unless you catch them on the day they made new sauce. This restaurant won't last 5 more years with the family members they have running it now. It's Friday, I went in around 6 and there was maybe 5 tables with customers. Every other table empty. Bar didn't have a soul sitting on a stool. Please don't give your money to a business that goes out of their way to call the owner and tell them someone specific ordered food and then ordered his nephew to rudely tell me never order from here again. Which won't be a problem. They're 30 seconds around the corner from me and it was convenient to grab a pizza from there. I wouldn't even be surprised if they messed with my food after knowing who the order was for. IF YOUVE NEVER BEEN HERE, I DONT SUGGEST IT AT ALL. There's at least 8 different amazing Italian restaurants in the area. I highly suggest Casa Antica in Lewiston for authentic Italian. There's nothing authentic about Casa Nova. She came took our drink order and we never saw her again. Someone came over to see if anyone took our drink order, which she had. Yet another place that puts you back in time, about 40 years, at least. Why can't any of these places spend ANY money upgrading their dining rooms. It boggles the mind. The place has a small bar at the front with a few tables, then a good size dining room at the back. The tables are old, the decor is old, the chairs are old. But, the fish is fresh! We ordered the Friday fish fry with fries, $12.50. They served us a basket of bread, though only with two pieces in it, lol. It was sort of like homemade bread. Not bad. The fish fry entrees also came with coleslaw, which tasted a bit fishy, no thanks. The fries were dry and plain tastings, perhaps I should have gone with the boiled potatoes. The beer battered fish was cooked perfectly and the fish, Cod, was nice and flaky--yum! One thing which seemed odd here was that the servers use metal cars on wheels to deliver your entrees. That seems weird. Almost like getting your dinner at the hospital, covered in a metal tin. Would it kill these serves to just use a platter to put the entrees on?! Casa Nova is a great place if you are looking for that traditional non-chain Italian Food! It's family owned/managed and run. The pizza is hand-tossed and pasta sauce is made fresh each day. The chicken wings are a requirement to go with the pizza. You know it is true "italiano" because it is the one place in the area that still serves tripe. The smell is intense but the tripe is good! As any good family owned restaurant they do offer fish fry Fridays during Lent. There maybe a slight wait but they turn the tables pretty fast. The bartender varies between the 2 siblings and the pour is good. They do know how to make a cocktail. Keep in mind that the dining room gets oud when busy and the owners employ their own children to help serve dishes & clear tables. (Which is fine. . . add a slight cute factor.) They are not open on Sundays and Mondays & only serve dinner. Be sure to say HI to Nash - he will be sitting at the bar playing cards and probably having a cup of coffee and a huge plate of pasta. It's his restaurant and he came over from Italy to raise his family. All of his family's recipes from the old country and he is sure to keep those memories alive in the food. read more

This place was a great surprise, a hidden gem for sure. We have been in Niagara Falls and had family in town for a wedding and wanted to get everyone together for one last dinner before before everyone parted ways, well they were able to accommodate a party of 14 on a Saturday night so we ended up here. My cousin raved about their pizza, so we had a tray of pizza and 50 wings, hot and bbq, and some people ordered Italian wedding soup or beans and greens. Well, let me tell you, HIDDEN GEM. The pizza and wings were great!! The prices weren't too bad either. The Italian wedding soup was OK, nothing special. I didn't try the beans and greens soup but it looks really good and I heard no complaints about it. We absolutely devoured the pizza and wings, very good!! I've passed the place a million times and never thought about stopping in, the restaurant wasn't busy either on a Saturday so obviously others do the same. Can I give it a rating between A-OK and Yay!? This place was recommended to us by a friend and I guess it can be thought of as a "hidden gem" despite the gaudy LCD sign out front that so often has the word "TRIPE!!!" scrolling across it. I see gaudy LCD sign, I keep driving usually. And I have, for like 17 years since I've lived here. So we packed up the fam and headed there on a rainy Friday with no desire to cook at home. This reminds me of every Italian-American restaurant I visited as a kid in Central New York. The smell instantly brought me back 25 years. The decor is "updated 80's" I'd say, with cheap-o banquet chairs and fair amount of panelling. The speakers were painted the color of the walls to hide them. There's an attention to detail that amused me. You can tell they really tried to take an older place and make it nice. I've also heard that the owner grows herbs out back for use in the dishes. That's pretty cool too, because as you know, fresh herbs are wonderful. Moving on. The salad with their house balsamic was great. Everything fresh, but the dressing is awesome! Granted it was served in a small plastic bowl you'd expect to see sent from the hospital cafeteria, but it was great. The spaghetti & meatballs at the table were good. Everything big portioned. My wife's chicken parmesan was good and my veal parmesan was good. My daughters medium chicken wings were tossed in butter for the most part and were not edible. Someone got the butter/Frank's ratio wrong there, at least that night. Everything we had seemed fresh. Fresh is huge for me. The more I type, the more I want to make it a 4 star rating, but I just can't. Overall, it was quite good. Not great, not crazy good, but good and it was a nice laid back atmosphere for my family. A table next to us ordered a pizza and it looked and smelled wonderful. Next time, I'd like to try that out or maybe their fish fry. Yes, there will be a next time. However, there is no next time where I will be trying that tripe they are so pumped about. read more

Went here a few days ago and we just had some pizza and wings. Both the pizza and the wings were very good. If that is what you are looking for you will not be disappointed. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was because our waitress was good, just overwhelmed. She and one other waitress had the whole dining room of about 20 tables (10 each). This is a wonderful little family owned restaurant. We recently had a 90th Birthday dinner for my Dad there. The chicken Parm was delicious and the owner was extremely nice and helpful in making the arrangements. Our waitress was wonderful and extremely patient with our dinner party of 17. The dinner guests included both adults and children. They went out of their way to make this a special dinner for my Dad and we greatly appreciate it. A fabulous family run Italian Restaurant! The Veal and Chicken Parm is excellent as is the Lasagna. The Owner/Chef takes two days to make the sauce and it is wonderful. The pizza is very good and the wings are the best in the area. The chef uses more expensive peanut oil for the wings and they are always crispy. They have a great fish fry on Friday too. They have a huge garden next to the parking lot and use the fresh produce in the summer and fall. You can't go wrong here. read more

Went to dinner and Sheas for a girls night out. There were 6 in our party. My mom cannot have gluten so we called ahead to see if they would boil her pasta of we brought it in for her. They agreed to do so. When we got the bill they had charged her full price for a pasta and sauce meal. We asked about it and they discounted it $2.00. She paid $13.99 for them to boil her noodles, one Italian sausage and a bit of sauce. They forgot to make my dinner and I had to wait while everyone else ate. There are no refills on soda, so just know that before you drink too fast. Service is very slow and in my opinion food is very overpriced. I won't be going back. Ever. Sad, because you'd think that you would have better service at a family owned restaurant but honestly, I have had way better service with less expensive bills at chain restaurants. read more
