    Chile Relleno - SO YUM!
    Sarah M.

I just love this place. I come here on my lunch break at least once a week if not more. I recommend the Chips and Queso, Bean Gordita, Cheese Chile Relleno, and Bean Tostada. I'm a vegetarian and in this area, the options are low, but even still this place is great. Love my girl at the carryout - so sweet and always brightens my day when I come in! Love this place so much their number is stored in my favorites lol

    Slimy, liquid "beans"

Slop. Some of the worst Mexican food we've had. This was our first (and last) time trying Casa Real and were hoping to have found a hidden gem. No such luck. Luckily the draft beer is very cheap. They start by bringing chips and salsa. No handmade chips here, just the $.99 version you buy at any store. We ordered burritos and a chimichanga. Neither were good. The chimichanga was not friend long enough so it was all soft. The waitress brought the plates and when she went to put it down, the "beans" almost came off the plate. They were disgusting and essentially just brown water. There were no beans at all-just some sort of slimy liquid. The waitress apologized and said that is what the cook had been sending out of the kitchen all day. We were hungry and time constrained so we ate what we could and got out of there.

So we called 3 times for a reservation and no one answered so we decided to just drive there in hopes for the best! We pulled in and I swear it looked like an abanded party store but with a full lot of cars. Watch where you drive though because the parking lot needs alot of work! Crazy pot holes and probably the worst I've ever seen at a place of business! For the parking lot being full when we walked in there was only one table of older ladies! Service was okay, I swear there was only one person working in the whole business! For the service points she did spilling my margarita on me and brought out 2 plates and took about another 5 minutes for everyone elses! I will say it was decent Mexican and very reasonable lunch prices! But not sure if I'll be back! The ambiance wasn't really for me!

Not only because I am Mexican It suppose that I love Mexican food. Well that's not the case I love good Mexican food. I am a fan of fajitas and tacos. I really like in this place the fajitas not salty not dry are juicy and in the exact potion. The amount is huge so be prepare for taking leftovers home. I love micheladas with corona.

Was hoping for the best, but after my visit I will not be back. Sour tart margaritas and substandard food. Just say no.

The tamales taste like they were frozen then microwaved, the sauces are bland - this is a white guy latin restaurant. Don't bother.

The restaurant itself has a relatively small foot print where the tables are close together and where there are no frills about this place and definately a tad on the rustic side. Facility aside, this place makes some excellent authentic Mexican street tacos where my El Pastor and Asada taco's were well made, PACKED with meat (no scrimping here) and oh so tasty. Service is quite quick where once seated you get your food within a few minutes making this an excellent spot if you are on the run and looking for a good meal on the quick. Prices are cheap in my opinion where my three taco's and a coke came to just $12. NICE! Two things to note here is that the chips and salsa are not gratis but come at an extra cost and follow up once you get food was non existent in my case. Chips and salsa was not a big deal to me but lack of follow up prevented this business from getting a fifth star. Overall and my minor gripes aside, if you are fan of really good Mexican street taco's than this is a must visit if you are in the area! I wish this business was closer to my home in West Bloomfield as I would be a regular here for sure!

I've tried other taco places and I keep wondering why we always come back here ... maybe because it is more convenient. Ordered chorizo soft tacos with cheese and chicken enchiladas ... no substitute... flavor is bland so just add the red or green hot sauce. Kind of rude to hear the workers speak in Spanish. I will have to go somewhere else. Food is bland and the service today is terrible.

I ordered the Chiles Rellenos Queso with a Classic Michelada, and my husband had the Tortas Ahogadas with a Paloma. Everything was delicious, the cheesy filled pepper was squeaky and came with tortillas to fill with rice and beans. It was satisfying and not overly filling, our table was clear of takeout boxes, but in saying that, we didn't have room for dessert. Service was friendly -- maybe not the quickest -- but I appreciated not feeling rushed or like they were trying to flip tables. It actually got busier the longer we stayed, even on a Wednesday night.

Ordered Puebla, tinga style pizza, chicken fajitas, guacamole, tostada with chicken tinga. $53.47 Chips and salsa is out. Chips aren't great at all, almost taste stale even. House salsa has some heat. At least I won't eat too many corn chips, since they aren't so good here. They have a red and green salsa in a bottle, but not enough for the seated tables. Service is subpar for sure, need more help. Drinks are long empty. My husband wants more chips and salsa, takes a while to get anything and get attention too. Food takes about 17 minutes to come out. The corn tortilla isn't very good. Ate a couple of small bites of the Puebla, not for me. Doesn't have that fresh chewiness. The Tinga meat is okay. The tostada is crispy, but overall is was just okay. The pizza is different and definitely on a flat bread. It's okay. The mole, tinga and pickled onion doesn't do it for me. The guacamole is so-so, average as far as taste. The bottle of red salsa is spicier. The bottle of green salsa is an avocado base. Both mixed with the house salsa in the ramekin together aren't too bad. Food was quite average, didn't feel compelled to stuff myself, so that's a positive. Get the staff some help! No one should have to wait for a table here or more than 5-10 minutes for their food either.

Small interior with some seating, but I got my burrito to go. Staff was friendly and my food was ready within 15 minutes of ordering. The tortilla was so greasy. Costco pizza x10. Seriously; I had to use some napkins on the tortilla because it was just soaked in grease. Not great. I got the steak. It was very good. Tender; no chewy bites and pretty good flavor. Good portions throughout the burrito. That was the highlight along with the guac. A chunky guac done well. It was fresh and just what I was looking for. Unfortunately, half my burrito was lacking in sour cream and cheese to the point I thought they forgot about it. The second half had better portions of those items, but more cheese would've benefited this. Finally, the fries were a joke. No seasoning and no crunch provided for a very unmemorable bite. A shame. Perhaps this was an off day. Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing. It was fine, but nowhere near what I was expecting. I might try this again, but need some time before I do that. Very good steak and guac. Everything else was lacking.

I've read reviews complaining about how this isn't Authentic Mexican Food. Do you know what I care…read moreabout when I go to a restaurant? I care if the food is good. If I want authentic Mexican food, I'll go to Mexican Town. Camellia's has good food, and I was happy I stopped here to eat. First, I'll start with maybe the most inauthentic item first. The chorizo and ground beef "sliders" were actually 2 burgers in regular-sized buns. Each had maybe 3 ounces of meat, and they were good, Not "I can feel the breeze off the beach in Cancun" good, but it was good with a smear of pretty authentic-tasting guacamole. We ordered chips with guacamole as a starter, and these seem to be pretty darned authentic chips. They were sturdy, with a terrific corn flavor, and a nice crunch to them. Definitely not Tostitos. The large amount of not-authentic-Mexican fries served with the "sliders" were excellent skin-on shoestring fries. My wife ordered chicken and steak fajitas. She didn't like the steak, saying it was too chewy. I have to say, it was maybe a tough cut of steak, and it was a bit overly salty, but I liked the flavor. The chicken was good, with a bit less seasoning. The rest consisted of all the things you expect in fajitas, and all of it was solid. I liked the drink selection. There were actually more Mexican beers here than I have ever seen in Mexican Town. Negra Modelo on tap? I wish I were able to get that when I go downtown, but I'm glad I was able to get a large glass for a reasonable price here. There were a lot of different flavors of margaritas. My wife loved the peach margarita she ordered. There were two waitresses, and a mostly full house, and they were able to keep up with the demand. The price was reasonable for the large portions of food, too. I'm not giving up on the delicious food in Mexican town, but I definitely wouldn't mind coming back here again for something less authentic, but still tasty.

What a surprise when getting the bill. And all the veggie burrito consisted of was onions, green peppers, tomatoes and lettuce. Why would this cost extra? Ridiculous. Between surprises like this and having to pay for chips and salsa, it's a wonder this place stays in business. It's a shame as the food is good.
