My cousin Henry recommended I check out Casa Rios Restaurant in Inglewood, and I'm so glad I finally went! This neighborhood spot has been serving authentic Guatemalan and Mexican food for over 20 years, and it was my first visit. I arrived bright and early on a Saturday morning and was warmly greeted by Dinora. She gave outstanding service, patiently explained their large and varied menu, and suggested the classic "desayuno" breakfast plate -- what a great call! The breakfast came with two eggs any style, savory black beans, sour cream, fresh cheese, and four warm corn tortillas. The flavors were wonderful and comforting, and it was hearty enough to keep me full and energized all day. Casa Rios has a lively, family-friendly atmosphere and gets busy (arriving early was perfect). In the evenings they even have live music or karaoke for entertainment. With delicious food, friendly service, and that genuine neighborhood feel, it's a wonderful place to support a long-standing local business. Highly recommend! We didn't exactly seek out this place, but there was a lot of traffic and we didn't feel like sitting in it so we decided to just head to this strip mall and eat here lol Despite the Yelp reviews, it wasn't terrible. The service was a bit of a struggle because the waitress didn't speak English. But once we figured it out, the food came quickly and was pretty good. I got fish tacos and enjoyed them. My boyfriend and I have come here several times after work to grab a drink, but unfortunately, we've had consistently negative experiences with one of the waitresses, Shirley. Every time we visit, she's noticeably rude, unwelcoming, and makes us feel uncomfortable. Most recently, she gave me a hard time over a drink order, insisting I had asked for a beer I clearly didn't. Rather than resolving it politely, she rolled her eyes and gave me the cold shoulder -- no apology, no effort to make it right. This kind of attitude is completely uncalled for in a customer service setting. Because of her behavior, we usually end up taking our drinks to go instead of staying to enjoy the atmosphere. I strongly suggest management address this issue, as her attitude is giving your establishment a bad name. We really enjoy the place otherwise, but dealing with Shirley makes it an unpleasant experience every time. read more

Service-- today at around noon or 1pm--my parents were mistreated by the waitress. She basically threw the plates on the table, gave cold food, and did not provide the right food items. My parents asked for coffee and the waitress said that she was waiting for it to heat up but served the coffee cold. She served tortillas instead of bread. I felt trepidation about trying this place after the decidedly mixed reviews here, but I wanted a place that had drinks on my way to the Forum, and that narrowed the list considerably. My wife, my friend, and I were all very happy with our meals, which came out fast, and portions were ample and quite tasty. Awful service. We came back from a concert and they flagged us down for trying to use the bathroom even though we were thinking of buying something but the awful service of trying to make us pay even to use the bathroom was terrible and distasteful. I'll gladly donate to their poor service if they want to charge us $2 to use the bathroom but 1 star for being so rude and arrogant to other human beings. We were looking for some Guatemalan cuisine and came across this place on a whim while we were driving. What brought us in were the pictures of the garnachas on the window. We were immediately greeted and seated. Interior feels like a old timey diner. While it could use some updating, I think the service and food speak for themselves. Our hostess was attentive and provided our food timely. Everything tasted fresh. I ordered enchiladas with shredded beef and salsa verde. We also had the garnachas, chicken soup, and plantains. The salsa for the complimentary chips was delicious and spicy. The plantains were perfectly crispy and paired with crema and black beans. My enchiladas including the rice and beans were well seasoned and I had leftovers to take home. I hope you give this place a shot because I am going home with a happy belly! read more

Was going to a concert at the SoFi stadium and wanted a quick bite beforehand. Decided to stop by here on the whim, but boy was that a mistake. I should've read the Yelp reviews here beforehand as there were clearly better places to eat in the same plaza as Casa. The restaurant was a bit dirty and the bathroom was even worse. I ordered the Carne Asada Quesadilla. It came out in about 5 minutes, which made me a bit wary. My suspicions were right. The meat was tough and flavorless, and the cheese was less than desirable. Oof, so I went here because there are very limited options walkable to the SoFi Stadium. I was hoping to get a good drink and possibly food before heading over to watch the Giltini Rugby team and was really disappointed. I got a Michelada and it was pretty sad. It looked okay, but it tasted as though you had warm beer and you poured it over ice so it got all watery and then added some dashes of hot sauce. It actually ruined my appetite and couldn't get food also based on the vibe and stuffy smell. The service wasn't helping much either and I just wanted out. My grandmother order their Guatemala Breakfast; eggs, Platanos Fritos, beans and crema. The presentation of the food was pretty bad, the beans were not cooked well and were not fresh at all. The 3 platanos Fritos also weren't cooked well. We also ordered their Mexican Chilaquilles and the presentation was a lot better, but tasted very poorly. Let me just start off by saying I thought the device and food would be below average. I was very wrong. The food is amazing. I had a carne asada burrito with a side of green salsa and it was very authentic. It taste home made or something made from Mexico. Very good good. This place is BS!! The OWNER was rude and his staff is worse. We ordered 12 wings 2 flavors- they decided to charge us $37!! The menu doesn't say multiple flavor is additional nor did the waitress explain that to us. I just come here because it is close to my workplace. But this will be the last time because my orders are always a disaster. Their asada is chewy and full of fat. I'm was not able to finish my lunch because of the poor quality of their meat. The only positive aspect of this establishment is its quick service.
