I always come by to fiesta at least a few times a week throughout the day cause I live nearby, I came by for breakfast one morning and Angelica took my order but after I receive the food, I noticed her sitting down on her phone then she finally remembers to drops off my bill no small talk or anything like the other pleasant servers I talk to I feel like this is something she can improve on. There's often times that I'll sit with Johnny. He likes to tell my friends and I to call him "king" as a joke but after observing him for multiple taco Tuesday's I notice he's always standing at the bar "waiting for drinks" but is really on his phone ignoring our table and watching our drinks get watered down and asks other people to bring us our drinks when he's standing right there and still rolls his eyes when we tip anything less then 20% but doesn't put in work... I often times love sitting at the bar. You never know what side of Junior you're gonna get. Either the joking funny one or the grouchy stressed out one hehe he makes the best drinks and he's pretty fast at making them. I started coming in on Fridays and Andrea is just the sweetest most attentive person. She often does a lot of the heavy work herself. She always brings me my chips and salsa, my drinks and food and always makes pleasant small talk about my nails and I always compliment hers because they're always on point. She tells me she gets them done with her daughter and if you know Silvia the hostess her nails are always on point too they definitely have taste. Silvia is another person who I love seeing when I come in. She's always moving she never stops, she greets people with a smile, takes my husband and i to our table and tells us who our server for the night will be, shes kind of like her mom she never stops, always helps out the servers with taking drinks, chips and salsa, food, cleans tables and restrooms and often helps out and takes our order when our server Geraldo is busy. She tells us she's just a host but she needs to be promoted already because She's always handling difficult customers and often tells the male servers to stop fighting in front of customers and tells the other hostess to stop rolling her eyes at people we've noticed her do this multiple times. She definitely knows customer service and it shows in the way she presents herself and handles different types of situations. She's so fun to talk to always cracking jokes and recommends good food and fun drinks and just told us that we can take our drinks Togo!! Hello!? My husband and I love when she's here because we know she's gonna crack a joke lol. The other hostess yamilette is nice, always runs to clean a table but lacks customer service makes us want someone else to attend us but it's ok maybe she's still learning. Bryan is a cool guy, makes pleasant conversation and always makes sure to get our order just right. A nice local place, clean as a whistle , good service and better than average food . No refills on cold drinks . Large our door patio with long tables great for groups, shady too . Sadly they cannot be trusted ~ my lady ordered the lunch special that comes with beans and rice, it was fine but the waiter sneaked in some B.S. The food was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The whole tilapia was a favorite with my son. I had the crane as a main dish, which was tasty and very filling. I couldn't eat it all. My mom enjoyed the chicken enchiladas. The service was good, and the decor was nice. The only drawback was that the bathroom towel dispenser was empty. The prices are reasonable considering the amount of food you get. Overall, we had a good dining experience and will come here again. read more

This is the newest location of Fiesta Martin on Van Ness, it's smack dab in the middle of homes and schools. Great for walking to happy hour or dinner on a nice summer night or cool fall evening. The parking is great as well. This is my second time here. The first time the food was really good as expected and this time was the same... delish!! I will say that the there was a slight difference in our server the second time around. The first time our server was amazing, friendly and seemed to love what he does everyday, this time our server seemed a little preoccupied and we had to call him over several times. Not necessarily a big thing, people are people and overall he was nice. That does not speak to anything negative just remembering that we are all human and we still had a nice experience. My husband and I had been passing this establishment for quite some time. It was previously a BBQ spot that I never saw open but once it opened as Fiesta Martin, it became vibrant and eye catching! We are always looking for a reputable Mexican food spot. Well, Fiesta Martin did not disappoint. We went there on a Sunday, late morning. There was a wait to be seated notice but since it wasn't crowded they let us sit where we like. Waitress was prompt and personable. We went at breakfast time so they had a regular menu along with a breakfast menu. I opted for breakfast with Chorizo and eggs with potatoes and refried beans, corn tortillas. My husband ordered the 3 birria tacos plate. Both were tasty and reasonably priced. There was a drink menu that I would have ordered a good looking margarita from but it was a tad too early for me. My husband did order a Corona with lime. Absolutely LOVE the ambiance! I see why it stands out when you drive by. Very colorful art decor. Ample seating on the inside as well as a nice patio on the side. Parking is easily accessible with parking stalls in the front or street parking along with a parking lot on the side of the restaurant. Went on a Saturday afternoon, the restaurant was pretty empty so we were seated right away. It started getting busy as time went on. Al thought it got busy, the servers were attentive. We had multiple servers check in on us. We ordered some drinks and guacamole to start. The guac was delicious! We got the surf and turf molcajete to share between my husband and I. The food was delicious, the rice and beans to accompany it were delicious as well. They have tvs all around which were playing different sports, they had music playing which was not too loud. I like this location much better than the one on LaBrea. Nice, walking or short driving distance in the neighborhood. Service from Johnny started off a little shaky & inattentive, but improved once the evening progressed. Carne asada tacos were yummy & well seasoned. Good guacamole and salsa...no complaints there. Watermelon margarita was good. Also tried the peach margarita...equally delicious. It was pretty busy for happy hour/dinner, but we were seated right away. Lot parking fills up soon, however there does seem to be plenty to of street parking. No complaints. I can see myself returning on a regular basis as long as the food stays consistent. Happy hour is from 2-6 and I decided to see what it's about on my day off. Nachos were big & delicious. The quesadilla which isn't pictured was crispy yet cheesy and filled with enough chicken and a nice scoop of guacamole & sour cream. The chips and salsa as a snack before was very good as well, and I didn't even get to finish that because the food came out so fast and hot. I've visited this restaurant two nights in a row, mainly because there aren't many good food options in this area without driving into another city. One of the main reasons I'm now on my third visit is the staff, everyone is extremely kind and welcoming. On my first visit, I ordered the beef soup. It wasn't very good, but I was sick at the time and didn't really care about flavor. On my second visit, on 1/20/2026, I ordered the two-enchilada dinner (one chicken and one ground beef) with rice and refried beans, plus an à la carte chili relleno. The food was cold, but after reheating it, it tasted good. Because of that, I decided to give it another try. I ordered the same enchilada plate and added what I thought would be a small side of albondigas soup along with pastor nachos. When I got home, I realized I had received a full soup with a side of rice, so I'm assuming I was charged for an entire meal. Unfortunately, the soup was not good, it tasted watered down and lacked flavor. Once again, the food was cold, and this time I received two ground beef enchiladas instead of one chicken and one beef. I loved that the chili relleno had some crunch to it and it was a little spicy. Another issue I have is that I always have to remove the food from the containers in order to reheat it. The chips were stale the day before, so I'm not sure why my husband decided to order nachos. His food also needed to be microwaved, and he was disappointed there was far too much pico de gallo, and overall it just wasn't enjoyable. If they start cooking the food fresh or find a better way to keep it warm, I would definitely return for the enchiladas. However, based on my experiences, I wouldn't recommend the other items. read more

I wish I could say this place was worth the money. The queso fundido was literally a giant block of string cheese with chorizo on top making it impossible for dipping. The chimichanga was requested with no rice, but came with an abundance of rice inside, and a tiny amount of lettuce on the side. Sour cream was also requested but not given. Don't give the option to remove ingredients if you aren't going to actually create it that way. The only item i ordered that was worth it was the chips and salsa. We visited the new Fiesta Martin location on Van Ness because it's really close to our house. The restaurant was packed, and we were sat immediately. We both ordered the crispy shrimp tacos and cucumber jalapeno margaritas. We didn't know this at the time, but a friend who has recently dined here told us they don't have their liquor license yet and are using some type of lower percentage alcohol for the margaritas. This would make sense because we realized that our "margaritas" did not in fact taste like margaritas. Also, when they brought out our food, we both immediately got hit with a very fishy smell. The shrimp was unseasoned and looked as if it had been boiled. We do not recommend this restaurant unfortunately. read more

I was very impressed with this location. I'm familiar their location on North La Brea and on Florence. I checked into the location on Florence this afternoon (8/17/25) but the hostess appeared a bit snobby And they have what you call patio dining but When I requested to sit out there she's just plainly stated there's no waiter out there. I decided to call this location and ask about the seating arrangement and also about the temperature inside. Silvia was so polite. She took the time to answer my concerns. I really appreciated bher for that. When my husband and I arrived at this location the awesome customer service didn't stop. We were greeted by Bryan upon walking in. I'm not sure if this is this is the custom of this location but we were allowed to pick where we would like to sit. That was a super win win for me. Honestly, I can't stand when a host seats us and they put us right near a crowd of people. After picking our seats, that's when I noticed the area hadn't been cleaned yet. I didn't mind. It was a private area and I was happy. Not long after we sat down Chris came to the table to clean it right away. I thank him and he apologized but I explained to him that I was aware the able was ready yet, but I wanted it. He was so sweet. We didn't have to wait at all before Marco was at our table and ready to take our orders. My husband is much older and it always touches my heart when he's given the best customer service. Marco listened, he had a sense of humor and was very very accommodating. He supplied us with our fresh chips and guac. (Be aware that they do not tell you, at least they didn't tell us that the guac that was brought to the table would be $10. We were under the impression that it was part of the complimentary chips and salsa setup) He also was also informative. This location is cozy and beautiful. The wall decor is gorgeous and makes for a beautiful photo backdrop. Limited parking and it can become tough to find it when their packed. The prices are very reasonable because it factors in the authentic taste, alcohol, entertainment and the drinks. Hubby and I decided to take our meal to go because we wanted to join a family member who did the same. The food taste awesome. Hot and well prepared. I ordered a carnita combo burrito with a pina colada and hubby had the asada enchiladas with a mango margarita. The drinks got the spot. Perfect amount of alcohol. Water was brought with no lemon, of course. Salsa was okay, a bit bland, chips didn't seem to be home made but decent. Beans were good, rice was okay, a bit toasty as if it been under a lamp for a minute, but decent taste. The shredded beef lacked flavor and the so called carne asada was just plain small pieces of steak with some fat pieces mixed in. Overall nothing outstanding on this dish to WOW about, just regular as other places that are overpriced. Well I finished quickly and waited and waited and waited for someone to come check on me. Maybe because I was flying solo I became an afterthought . I tried flagging someone a few times but no luck. I even thought about walking out assuring that no one would even notice; however, that's not how I was brought up. I finally chased down a waiter and requested my check. Total was $19+. Place was clean and decor is way better than most inexpensive Mexican restaurants. Everyone else dining appeared to be enjoying themselves with large size margaritas. I will most likely not return to this particular location since it's only a once a year area visit. Went to this place for lunch. I got the chicken tortilla soup. Was a bit disappointed. The soup consisted of broth, shredded, boiled chicken which was a little chewy, cubes of cheese, slices of avocados and a ton of tortilla strips. You could tell everything was cooked separately and just assembled. I ended up just eating the broth, cheese and avocado. The tortillas were regular color, green and red which dyed the chicken and turned into a multicolor mush. The place itself was clean and staff were friendly.
