This is a nice place to grab some of the usual Mexican fare such as quesadillas, fajitas, and burritos! The margarita list is almost as big as the menu. Lunch specials are served during the weekdays until 3 pm and are filling and nicely plated. The chips arrive crispy and hot with a nice freshly prepared salsa. The staff is friendly and quick and the food is what you would expect from a Mexican restaurant. There is live entertainment on Friday and Saturday evenings. We were here awhile back and I definitely would not recommend. We sat at the bar and service was very slow. There were only a few guests in the bar but leftover plates of food sat next to us for 20 minutes and were not cleaned up. Not very appealing! Also there was an overpowering cigar smoke smell. Best Mexican food I've had since moving to Florida! Their carne asada is definitely worth the drive! Salsa and chips are very good... the cheese dip (which I was unsure about) was awesome! At first I was worried that this was going to be a Tex Mex type of place, but after eating here I can say that while some items contain a Tex Mex type of flair... most are authentic Mexican. This was a huge relief. I've had their margaritas, which are tasty although not very strong. The one I had was made with your basic margarita mix, next time I'll have to try a fresh squeezed one. This probably one of the best mexican restaurants I have visited in a while. It has a perfect blend between authentic mexican food and California style mexican food. I went for a birthday celebration--as a referal by the birthday man himself. We were a total of thirteen guests and no matter how obnoxious we got, the customer service stayed at a SUPERB level. I should also add we attended on a Sunday afternoon. So i was surprised that even with a growing volume inside of the restaurant, the service was fast and attentive. From little details like tostitos and soda refills; to double checking everyones order to the best of his abilities while we debated the many options they have. Speaking of the option, the food was beyond my expectations. I personally ordered the asada burrito--which was HUGE. The meat was tender and excluding the many juices from different salsas inside the burrito, the meat itself was cooked to a juicy point and was not dry at all. Their burrito salsa is one that brought all of the flavors together and needless to say, that even though the portions were HUGE I devoured it. Overall, I give this restaurant its five stars because if on a busy Sunday you can serve up hot dishes, tasteful dishes. Have extremely attentive service and include crayolas and puzzles to keep the young ones entertained--they have earned it. BEWARE!!!! We decided to try this Mexican restaurant with my family. I ordered the chicken tacos and my daughter ordered the Carne Asada. I asked for a side of sour cream and a side of pico de gallo. When I received my bill I look and see a charge of $1.75 for sour cream. I questioned the waiter as to why I was charged for the sour cream. I was never told there was an up charge for sour cream because my meal didn't come with it. The waiter said he would talk to the manager. The waiter comes back and said the manger said "you order it you pay for it". And on top of that the menu in small print says $1.00 for the sour cream. I was charged $1.75 because I didn't order it when I ordered my food. It was an after thought. So they charged me 75 cents more. I have never heard of charging for sour cream at a Mexican restaurant. Very disappointed with the customer service we received. I will not be coming back. So Casa Tequila just lost 3 customers plus any of our friends over a $1.75. read more

Been to this place a few times now and would say it's probably the best Mexican in Boca. The consistency is why I have given it a 4 star review. I usually get the same thing and there's usually always something off about it. The guacamole is sometimes too mushy too which is a huge turn off. The margaritas on the other hand are amazing. And the chips and salsa are always flowing and tasting great. The one thing I LOVE about Casa Tequila is their service. I've never had bad service and the wait is always an hour or so long when I go. Usually when the wait is that long, the service starts to diminish and they try to get you in and out. I have never once felt rushed while eating here and that's a huge plus for me. This was my second time dining at the restaurant located in Boca Raton. They seemed to be over worked. My experience recently was horrible. The waiter took a very long time to greet us. Then had an attitude because we asked if she can take our order with our drinks. After getting our food from another waiter our waiter walked by asking if everything was okay with no opportunity to express our concerns. I personally disliked my meal and left half of it on the plate. I actually had to share my daughter meal. The waitress stated there was nothing she can do but to take my half eaten plate, which she did. I asked for a manager and our experience with the manager became a nightmare. Manager Brenda stated she was unable to do anything regarding my meal, that was taken from me, and became inappropriate and unprofessional. She stated that my daughter and I were asking her to beg us to come back by saying we were not coming back to this restaurant as we felt it our situation was being poorly managed. Brenda stated that our statement about not returning was a threat to her and added that by asking her to accommodate our bill or meal was asking her to break restaurant policy's. Explaining to Brenda the way she's interrupting our situation was unprofessional and inappropriate she continued to make false statement and she caught her self and stated she would stop talking and covered her mouth. I suggested for Brenda to seek support from her management team as what I was asking was not necessary for her actions and response. After all, I got nothing accomplished and left paying for two meals while leaving my meal taken from me and shared my daughter's plate BUT paid for two plates! I was informed that there's no higher up manager on the floor and no contact. Might have hit it on the wrong day? Cinco de Mayo means busy and while there wasnt a line out the door I did feel lucky getting a bar seat after waiting about 10 minutes at 1:30. Ordered the tres tacos, 1 each shredded beef, ground beef and chicken. Shredded was the best but not a fan of the hard shell was expecting soft but my bad for not asking also pork not available unless you get all 3. Only hot sauces available and were commercial brands in bottles no mild or medium. Had to ask for salsa and chips , I dumped the salsa on the tacos. The meal did come with good refried beans that had lots of cheese and tasty rice. Make no mistake about it I was full but I dont think I will get the tacos if I go again. Bathroom wasnt too clean, paper towells on floor and pee on the seat, sorry to report. And the topper bill was $9.50 with tax, gave bartender a 20 gives me 2 fives and fifty cents. What was he thinking, I wast even drinking no way I'm tipping half the bill so I asked him for change to leave a proper tip. read more

The table wasn't greeted by Martha for about 10-15 minutes..we went through 3 baskets of chips before anyone ever came over. Asked for water that was never delivered. Poor customer service.
