    Complimentary Chips and Salsa
    Kyle A.

I travel for work and rarely go some place twice. Their food was wonderful. The taco and enchilada lunch came with rice and beans. The taco and the rice were exceptional. Taco was just corn tortillas but better than most and were fried right before came out with beef and onion plus cilantro. Today I had the enchiladas special which was outstanding too. Their complimentary chips and salsa were wonderful as well as you can ask for hotter salsa which wasn't that hot but had excellent flavor. Highly recommend

Updating this review with photos because I love this place so much that I had to come back for more and order my regular! Fries, tu casa veggie tacos with the mixed tortillas, tu casa nachos. Yummy!!

Came here recently and had a bit of a hit or miss experience. The hits: +Margaritas. They have a nice variety of tequila and mix a decent 'rita rocks. I had mine made with Don Julio and it was spot on. +Guacamole. We ordered their guacamole appetizer and not only is it delicious but it's plentiful. They gave us a whole bowl full of fresh and flavorful guacamole with plenty of fresh made, still warm chips for dipping. There were only two of us and I think it would have been ample enough for 4-5 people. +The atmosphere both inside and out. They have a cute sidewalk patio out front and their dining room inside is sparkling clean and lovely. The miss: +I got enchiladas made with queso fresco, which came out cold. I pretty much never send a dish back to the kitchen but it was so cold, I just couldn't eat it. The server explained that when using fresh cheese it doesn't melt (understood, but it also shouldn't be cold). She took the plate with the promise to microwave it for me (not ideal, but ok). Once microwaved, it was still just ok. My dining companion was equally non-plussed with his meal. Could be that we just need to find a dish they make that we'd prefer. But, for our dinner this evening, it was a swing and a miss. Beyond that, the prices were reasonable and our server did definitely try to rectify my cold dish dilemma. A-ok.

Here is a picture of the garbage that was delivered to us at work for lunch. Queso with chorizo packaged in a regular to go container and delivered with no chips for dipping. Thanks for the greasy "soup" that ran all over everyone else's food by the time it was delivered. You should be ashamed of how this was presented and even more embarrassed of this pile of grease you call a dip. Not sure If that's a side of beans randomly added in one of the areas? One will never know. Bizarre. Disgusting. Never again.

Stopped for a margarita and decided to try a couple of appetizers. We had a super nice and attentive waiter, Victor. This was our first time here and we will definitely be back. Oof food and service.

Here's an example of a rare situation where Yelp advertising definitely worked. I have been noticing the Tu Casa advertisements on Yelp the past month and thought the food looks great. Noticing it also has a decent amount of reviews with a 4.5 star average, my wife and I were sold on making the trip. We started off with a couple house margaritas. They were good, but not great. We drank them down while enjoying their awesome chips and salsas. The chips were some of the best I've had in Milwaukee for sure. We always like to try the guacamole at every Mexican restaurant we come to. The portion size was very generous and priced at $8. The guacamole tasted good, but wasn't as chunky as we typically like. For our main courses, my wife had steak fajitas and I had the al Pastor burrito. Both left us satisfied and extremely full. It would have been a smart idea to just eat half of the burrito and save it for the next day, but when it tastes that good and it's right in front of you, how can you stop? Some more reason to come to Tu Casa: -10% off your entire bill with a Yelp Check-In -Happy hour until 9pm if you sit at the bar -The staff was friendly Justify Tu Casa's advertising investment in Yelp and give them a try. I recommend this place!

Wanted to have a god lunch in Milwaukee with my friend because we were visiting the city for the day, and we were not disappointed! This place definitely has some of the best service I've ever experienced, and the food and drink quality is great! The Pina Colada I ordered was delicious and decently priced. I had ordered the enchiladas with red sauce and they were phenomenally delicious. Huge plate, and not too expensive either. I wasn't able to finish my entire meal, as they came with beans and rice. Would absolutely return.

Stopped in for lunch based on the Yelp reviews and was not disappointed! Great atmosphere and super nice staff. We had the steak chimichanga and tacos and both were great. Fast attentive service, great food and reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

That kind of freaked me out though. I don't like cucumber, so i took the cucumber out of the sushi, and i didn't finish an egg roll because it was too chewy (not crunchy at all). That didn't seem to be a problem. I didn't try everything. I liked the noodles I got. The sushi was decent (I had the cooked sushi). They had a nice selection of desserts. My friend said she'll come back with her kids. I don't think I will. I'd rather have everything cooked fresh. The fried things I tried (gyoza and eggrolls) were too chewy, they didn't taste bad, but the texture was off. The exception was the rangoons, they were crispy. The desserts were ok. The best was the prepackaged ice cream. I'm glad i tired l tried it. It looked like the families with kids were really enjoying it. I'm sure, as a kid, I would have too.

Ambience was cools and laid back at night, there was some soft jazz playing. Order 2 jerk salmon burgers and some wings with the "crab it your way" sauce. Flavor was on point for both. Wings were delicious and super crispy, just like I ordered. The burgers, although they were good, they were small for $18. Fries were decent, but a bit on the greasy side. Took 2 stars off because we waited 45 minutes for our food, when we were told 20 minutes, the burgers were small for the price and they charge an automatic 18% gratuity even for carry out ( I don't mind dine in). The velvety Milwaukee chowder was top notch with a superb blend of flavors. On top of that, the crab cakes (with a real emphasis on the crab meat, not fillers and spices) were fantastic with and without the yummy sauce they came with! For dinner, I had the blackened grouper special that was seasoned and cooked better than any I've had before! The Key Lime pie was one of the best in Milwaukee, and the bread pudding was huge with a week executed caramel drizzle that didn't overpower it or make it rediculous gross like so many places that try too hard to impress diners. I'm definitely coming back and working my way through the menu! The staff was great, empty dishes didn't sit around too long, drinks were refilled promptly without having to get their attention, and it never felt too invasive or annoying. The place has two big parking lots, a cool outdoor dining area, and a bunch of access to river docks where they apparently rent kayaks and other water toys. I've never had lobster and to be fair shellfish is not really my jam. While the lobster mac n cheese and lobster tacos sounded absolutely incredible, I wanted to get a real lobster experience that wouldn't be impacted by other yummy ingredients like cheese (cuz who doesn't love cheese in Wisconsin?). I ordered the Connecticut roll because cold fish was just a bit too much for me. This thing tasted like BUTTER - and quite frankly, I think it's supposed to. I don't dislike butter, it is just quite a heavy accompaniment. Overall, I don't think I love lobster and I don't think I'd order it again... but I still ate the whole thing and was quite full afterwards. I was initially bit surprised at the $25 price tag for my not huge (albeit filling) sandwich, but lobster is an expensive commodity. I actually did some Internet searches for Madison and Milwaukee that had lobster rolls on their menu. First, there aren't many of them so consider this a special treat regardless. Second, the cheapest I could find was a $24 lobster roll and it went up from there. So, reasonably priced for what you're getting. This was a great, low-stress and "not weird" introduction to venture into lobster eating. It's not for me, but it seemed unfair to give 3 stars for not loving a food I don't overall like in the first place. The staff on scene were friendly and I had a good time, so 4 stars it is. If you actually like lobster, definitely look up their schedule and find them at a location near you. The parking lot was packed so obviously this is very popular which tends to mean pretty well liked, too. Come find out for yourself.

We originally…read moretried a couple of other seafood spots, but they wouldn't seat our group with about an hour and a half left before closing. King Crab Shack was incredibly accommodating and let us make a reservation, which really saved the night. Walking in, I loved the coastal vibe. The fishing nets, nautical décor, wooden booths, and little crab details throughout the restaurant made it feel like you stepped into a seafood shack by the beach. It was clean, spacious, and had a fun atmosphere that fit the meal perfectly. One thing I thought was surprisingly clever was the vinyl bibs. Not only did they have an adorable crab printed on them, but they also had a pocket at the bottom to catch any seafood that inevitably falls while you're cracking shells. The gloves were a perfect touch too! It's a small detail, but it definitely came in handy! The menu had plenty of seafood options at different price points, whether you're looking for a smaller seafood boil or a feast for a group. We ordered two Combo #3s ($99.99 each), Combo #6 ($95.99), a pound of mussels ($18.99), and an extra order of snow crab clusters ($35.99). While seafood isn't cheap, the portions were generous, everything tasted fresh, and it felt like a fair value for the quality and amount of food we received (table of 5). One thing to keep in mind is that the combo meals have set seafood combinations, so there isn't much flexibility to mix and match items. It wasn't a dealbreaker for us, but it's something worth knowing if you're hoping to customize your combo boil. We all chose the Garlic Butter Crazy Cajun seasoning at a medium spice level, and I highly recommend it. The garlic butter gave everything a rich, buttery base while the Cajun seasoning layered in smoky, savory slices with just the right amount of heat. The medium spice definitely lets you know it's there, but it never overpowered the seafood. Instead, it built gradually and complemented the natural sweetness of the crab, lobster, shrimp, mussels, and crawfish. Every bite was coated in flavor, and we found ourselves dipping everything into the extra sauce. The seafood itself was fresh and cooked well. The snow crab legs were a little difficult to crack, but once you were able to dive in, it was packed with sweet tender meat. The lobster tails stayed juicy instead of becoming rubbery, the muscles were plump, and the shrimp had a fresh bite. The corn, potatoes, and sausage, and eggs soaked up all of that delicious seasoning and honestly became just as enjoyable as the seafood. I also wanted crawfish, but no one else at the table wanted to order a whole pound. After mentioning it to our server, they were kind enough to bring me a couple crawfish on the side instead of making me purchase an entire order. It was such a thoughtful gesture and really showed they cared about making our experience enjoyable. The only thing I'd love to see improved is the seafood tools. They provided crackers and scissors, but they weren't very effective and made getting into the crab legs and lobster more difficult than it needed to be. A sturdier cracker and sharper seafood scissors would make the experience much smoother. Between the welcoming staff, fun atmosphere, fresh seafood, flavorful seasoning, and thoughtful customer service, this was a great place to celebrate a special occasion. I'd definitely come back the next time I'm craving a seafood boil.
