It was a Friday afternoon, and having eaten Mexican food earlier in the week, I decided to go non-traditional for a Mexican lunch, but traditional for Wisconsin, an all-you can eat Friday Fish Fry. Amazing! The fish was crispy, flaky and not super greasy. There was coke slaw and a choice of fries or potato pancakes. I love this place for Mexican! And they are open late, they serve food til 11pm during the week. I stopped in late on a Thursday and had a combo platter with Two Tacos and a Chimichango with rice. It included beans, but I just had the rice. The food was very food! Some of the best Mexica I have had. The drinks are great too! A "Medium" is like the biggest drink I have ever seen! I cant even imagine what large would be! Overall, this was a great mexican dining experience and I will def be back! read more

My husband and I were looking to get some Mexican food for lunch on a lazy Sunday and we decided to try this place as we are sort of new to the area. It's a little difficult to find as it's tucked away in a shopping center but once you find it, it's a good spot for some less than basic Mexican food. We started off with the Cheese Dip (Queso Blanco) which was good. I asked for a side of hotter salsa to mix in and the waiter brought out some habanero and arbol salsas which gave us the kick we were looking for. I wish the chips tasted better. For my entree I had the Chipotle Shrimp Enchiladas which were really good and my husband ordered a combo platter which he really liked as well. We finished off our lunch with the Fried Ice Cream. If I could give more stars to this restaurant I would! We bag a large group of people (14) and some how the reservation some how got mix d up. The owner was very accommodating and seated all 14 of us together, our waitress was amazing (Kayla) she allowed us to group our checks together which never happens with a large group! This place was OK.. I met up with an old co-worker. We sat down right away and our waitress was over to take our drink order. We both ordered medium blended margaritas, which was huge! The drink menu is long and offers something for just about anyone. I got a mixture of two flavors. We also immediately ordered guacamole, it was absolutely delicious! They had someone come over and actually make the guacamole in front of you, a great experience. I ordered a chicken enchilada with a flour tortilla and unfortunately it came out in a corn tortilla. My old co-worker got three tacos, which she seemed to enjoy. We sat and talked for awhile and actually ended up ordering another margarita. I have been here a few times and the food has always been great. However this is the first time we have had such poor customer service and just complete lack of effort by the staff. My fiance and I arrived on Saturday at 9:52 for simply a cocktail and an appitizer. The restaurant closes at 11 pm according to the site even thought on the doors they do not list any closing times.. The first thing out of the Hostess mouth was we stop taking orders at 10:30. I responded so I have 37 minutes to place an order, she responded " oh yeah". So we sit and order a large Margarita on the rocks and a small Margarita frozen, what was brought to us was a large frozen Margarita and a small one on the rocks. We place our ordered of guacamole and the sample platter. We never received our sample platter and the waitress says oops they forgot to put in the order, but the kitchen is closed now... We get no acknowledgement that they messed up the drinks even though we told the waitress and she hesitated to take it back to correct it. We had such crap service since we arrived and they just watched over us waiting for us to leave. Then we were the last customers waiting for our check as the staff spoke in Spanish complaining. I am Hispanic so I understood their comments, which were pretty rude. So needless to say don't ever come in here an hour to closing or they treat you poorly instead of like a paying customer. read more

Terrible experience. Very poor service for food and drinks. Server and manager got in an argument with a customer and then had the audacity to threaten to call the cops on the customer. Quite disturbing! Bathrooms were not clean with chunks of hair in the sink. Very reflective of poor management and service. Definitely won't be coming back and suggest you do the same! read more

I have been going to this place for over 10 years, and they have never disappointed me. Their chips and salsa are always fresh and their service is great! OK...so I eat here...like once a week. Sometimes more. I drink here. I'm a lightweight, so one drink goes a LONG way. I love the margaritas. Just enough sweetness to go down easy. Strong enough to give you a wicked headache if you drink too much. If you weigh less than 120 pounds, don't go larger than the medium size. You will pass out. Wednesday nights are BOGO margaritas, so all my co-workers head there after the office closes. I admit, I haven't tried all the food there. I like the specialty items on the menu. Carne asada a la mexicana, tapequiena (sp?). But, once I tried the camarones a la diabla, I was HOOKED. I have not tried anything else there for the last year. The chicken enchiladas are great if you want something simple. I did not care for the fajitas. They were cooked in a sauce that had a smoky BBQ flavor. The wait staff is fantastic. My 3 year old spilled an entire cup of soda and the bus boy was there in a flash to help clean it up. The waiter brought us a new soda almost immediately. The place is PACKED between 6pm and 7pm on Friday and Saturday nights, so don't expect to be seated right away. I hear that kids eat free on Sundays, but I have not confirmed it. I went here Saturday with a friend. You get a decent amount of food for the price and it's tasty! I got a chimichanga dinner, with which you get: 3 chimichangas (I picked chicken), rice and refried beans. I also got a drink and my entire meal cost about &15.00 (not including tip). I'm VERY picky about my Mexican, having grown up near so many of the best Mexican restaurants in Milwaukee and having worked in one for four years. At first when my husband suggested we try it out, I wasn't sold. The strip mall location and the typical Mexican restaurant decor threw me off. By the time we left, I was full and super satisfied!! Firstly, the parking lot was PACKED when we showed up. There was one high top bar table available, which we took in lieu of the 20 minute wait. Immediately we were given homemade chips and two salsas. Both were delicious! Our server was super sweet and attentive. When my husband ordered a whiskey old fashioned and she didn't know what that was, she made sure to get his drink correct. He said it was the best old fashioned he'd ever had!! I stuck to wine that night. I ordered the spinach enchiladas with the verde sauce with black beans. Everything was to perfection! The beans had good flavor, the enchiladas had enough sauce, and I could have eaten the whole plate if I wanted to sit there with my pants unbuttoned. I took the rest home for a snack later and it was just as good the second time. My husband ordered the beef tacos with refried beans. He swears by them. We've gone back a couple of times since and although we want to venture out, we can't help but always get what we know we'll love! It's always packed with a wait when we go (sign of a good place, right?), but we don't mind the wait. I've also tried their martinis for their $5 special. All you can eat as long as you order any kind of a beverage from the bar. What can I say, 3 stars. Let me say this is not a negative review. Everything is average, service, food and atmosphere. Nothing bad just nothing that I see as truly exceptional. If your looking for the standard Mexican meal by all means stop in. I don't have a favorite meal but I regularly have chimichangas, taco salad and burritos.(typically pork) All of which are satisfying. The drinks are also just fine, but be warned the "Large Margarita" is enormous. :) read more

It's a close place to get OK Mexican food. I love the chips and salsa, and they are generous with both! The Margaritas are HUGE! You can get them blended or traditional. They are not too vegetarian friendly. They put re-fried beans in my burrito. The menu said beans, so I didn't think to ask if they were re-fried. But they do have black beans available. The hostess was welcoming, and the buser was super friendly. The server was not as friendly as she could have been. Last Sunday my family picked me up a shrimp burrito from Casa Tequila. When I opened up the box it was pretty large. I ate about half the burrito and had to save the rest for later. Although, my appetite is kind of small so I'm sure in some cases it's fine. But anyway, the burrito itself was pretty adequate. It was almost kind of soggy, which made me a little stand offish at first. The burrito itself didn't taste bad, though.
