Outstanding. Honestly, that's the word. Like many I suppose, we're guilty of not venturing out from our tried and true favs very often. Because of that blind loyalty, it took us a little longer to get here than it should have. We finally made in today and holy man- it was...what's the word? Outstanding. The place was spotless. The service was impeccable and gracious. The food was killer. Since it was our first time in- we both went with the Pick 3 so we could try different things. Our meals included: chicken enchiladas, a chicken chimichanga, steak tacos, chorizo tacos, rice, beans and of course we started with chips, guacamole and margaritas. I'm not even sure if we can rank the food one over another as it was all sooo good. If I described each dish, I'd be writing for pages. All I can tell you is that Al Pastor is a must. We can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.

We came to pick up some dinner around 4pm. We saw a parking lot in the back, then walked in through the door in the back. I don't think they're used to customers walking in through the back, and everyone looked startled. As were we. lol. We apologized, but were quickly put at ease and told it's totally fine, and that's what doors are for! Everyone was super friendly, so it was a great beginning for the experience. We would normally call ahead to place our order when picking up, but we just swung in this time since we were in the neighborhood. We were craving some good Mexican food and fellow yelpers have given this place a raving review. There was no other customers in the restaurant yet, though a big family walked in while we were waiting for the food. The joint was clean, well organized, and sectioned off so there is plenty of space between tables. I wanted their beef milaneza dinner, but they're not making those anymore - only chicken. Steak Fajitas - hubby ordered this. I would never order fajitas to go. It comes with the whole sizzling experience when eating at the restaurant. I think it would have been great at the restaurant, but by the time we got home, we felt the meat was overdone, and just not the same. Entree Sampler: - Taco with Pastor. There's a reason this place is called "Al Pastor" guys! Get the pastor meat! Absolutely fantastic! - flauta with capechanos. This was my least favorite. It's like a rolled up taco that's deep fried. I think the flavors kicking from the taco and the mole from the enchilada really masked the capechanos. not wowed. - enchilada with mole. Their mole sauce is really, really good. They put this one in a separate container for me, and drenched it with mole sauce. Thank you! Horchata - just what you need on a hot summer day! But it was very cold inside the restaurant (I was standing right under the AC, and wearing thin clothes since it was 80F outside. Probably not that cold in reality). The server asked me whether I wanted ice in the horchata before serving, and I was thankful for that. All the smells of an authentic Mexican feast were teasing us throughout our 15 minute drive home. Pleasant ordering/pick-up experience added stars to the meal.

We came here for lunch w a group of 7. Very close to the VA Hospital. Ordered tacos enchilada and a burrito. Everyone was very pleased and it was very affordable.

Food was terrific! Service a little slow but nothing to be concerned about. Refried beans and rice were out of this world good!

Yummy-love the taco truck. Love that they have been parking 95th National. A lot of business there.

Cute little place off the main roads. But this might be some of the best meat I've ever had.

Honestly with all the restaurants I go to I don't remember if the interior has changed from the previous restaurant but it's fresh/clean looking with a nice little bar on the side. My service was excellent and I was seated right away with chips, salsa, water and a menu. The chips were warm, thin, fresh, crisp and seasoned nicely with a nice corn taste that was the quintessential corn chips for salsa in my opinion. The salsa was fresh with crisp/chunky vegetables and once again what in my opinion makes for a perfect salsa with a heat not detectable to my pallet but my nose was slightly running which was odd because my mouth was not hot, maybe all the hot and spicy food that I eat all the time has numbed me. I would do a menu item that I never do which was breakfast for lunch that was the chilaquiles plate with steak. It's two eggs cooked hard, thin steak, beans , tortillas sautéed in sauce topped with cilantro, onions and sour cream. The plate looked amazing and a huge portion by the way. The beans were loose with whole beans and topped with shredded cheese. The eggs tasted fresh, cooked over hard. The thin steak had a slight grill flavor. The sautéd tortillas I opted for the red sauce was delicious with the thick red sauce covered in cilantro, onion and sour cream that was delicious and the star of the plate. Overall was it the best Mexican food that I have had, no and the particular plate you order can affect a review in the end but I will say I have a new fondness for Mexican breakfast. Overall my breakfast for lunch was very good even though it wasn't seasoned like the chips but it was a better experience than my review for the last place 12 years ago and I would actually go back to the new restaurant vs the old that was once and done.

Small space but cozy, intimate feel to it that is beautifully decorated. All the workers were nice and friendly. The food??!! Sooo delicious, truly!! The beef fried rice was my favorite. We sat in a booth and split a half pitcher of passion fruit sour. We probably would have been fine with a glass each, but the menu only gave the option for a half or whole pitcher. I can't pass up an order of tostones, so that was an easy immediate yes appetizer. I also love a good lomo saltado con bistec, so that was my entrée I thought it was a tad chewy, but still delicious. There were no crumbs left on my plate. Service was pretty quick initially, but the waitress took a long time to come back at the end. It could have been that she was waiting because there was still some drink in our glasses, but it was a little much not to at least come check in and refill waters. I still will be back, especially because it is so close to me now.
