We were there last Friday. It use to be the old D'Angelos, but is now under new ownership, Chef, remodeled and renamed Casalina. They've done an excellent job with the new ownership. Food was always good there, but is now Excellent. Try the Lobster Ravioli, Eggplant Rollatini and the pizza. A special shout out to the new managers, Douglas and Michael, the bartenders David, John and Priscilla and a very special shout out to our favorite bartenders Cory and the lovely Claudia who have been taking care of us for the last few years. I have visited Casalinda on many occasions! I have found the food to be absolutely delicious and the wait staff very friendly and helpful. The manager does a fantastic job! He makes several appearances at each table to ensure that everything is up to perfection! I love the ambience especially outside. It has a lot of charm and it's very inviting! So disappointed given the ratings on yelp. Our table was in the back, which is pretty but the tables are very very close together. The bread for the table was not warmed.I ordered special porterhouse pork chop. It was cut so thin (1/8 inch at best ) and dry and there was no bone, and the mashed potatoes had no taste. My partner had the chicken meatballs which were excellent. However, a friend had the chicken parm. Again, so dry she had to ask for additional sauce which didn't help. We didn't stay for dessert. I'm sorry to say, what a disappointment.... Probably the nosiest restaurant although it was their opening night, took forever to get our food, and when it did come, not very good. It's a very pretty place, with out door seating as well, and quite large, not sure if they had a soft opening, but, we won't be back..... perhaps give it a try in a few months when they might get some of the kinks out........ the waitress Emily was very good, and certainly tried, under very tough conditions... The worst ever it was better the old place they put all this money into this new place no beer no draft beer one bottle beer in the whole place we order lasagna. We had to send it back twice ice cold, and the guy in the kitchen had the nerve to put his finger in it. And looked at me cause I was watching him We ordered escarole and beans never came. I had to finally complain to the lady in the front so she took the lasagna off the check. We will never go back and people don't waste your time going when you pull up. Everything was fantastic! Came with a group of friends and this place exceeded our expectations. From the service to the atmosphere to the food. The tortellini was phenomenal, as well as the Chicken Parmesan. Large portions and delicious cocktails. Our server, Emily, was attentive, kind, and knowledgeable. The bread I was not impressed at all, who doesn't like a good crusty bread . my husband had the chicken parmigiana and pasta . He said that it was soggy and not good . I don't usually leave reviews but I tried to give the newer version of this establishment another go and am very disappointed they still have the same inappropriate flirtatious manager working here. Otherwise the food is great and the aesthetic is authentic. My husband and i were helped by Claudia and Corey at the bar they always give amazing service. I requested the main dining room when making the reservation .The hostess ( from the previous restaurant ) was overwhelmed and wouldn't even let me tell her my name. We waited 20 minutes before a manager even came over. My husband and I were upset. When we were finally seated, it was a horrible table adjacent to the hostess area with people on top of us.
