Saw a old article in one of the magazines naming this place one of the top 10 cheesecake places in NYC.... since it was close by, I gave it a try. Got a few of the mini cheesecakes, and a box of cookies yesterday. The girl who look liked she ate too many cookies just kept asking.. anything else...anything else with a stinky attitude.. I told her, can I have a few seconds to see what else I wanted. Cookies were good.. pretty much the same stuff you can get anywhere..but the cheesecakes were not good at all.. too much vanilla or something, not creamy..weird texture.. maybe it was sitting there too long?! Either the people coming here are the old folks with desensitized taste buds and don't venture out much... or I'm seriously missing something. Been eating their cheesecakes for as far back as I can remember. My mom used to buy them all the time when I was younger. 20 years later they still taste exactly the same, and they're spectacular. It really is amazing how consistent they are with the quality, even after all these years. I've ever only had the regular cheesecake, but that's all I need. I'm not sure how much or how little training they get for customer service, but someone needs to take action and give these girls some lessons. The best wedding cake ever! Cascon Bakery teamed up with A & S florist and made the most beautiful wedding cake I have ever seen. The yellow cake and cannoli cream filling were perfectly delicious. The design of the cake was very challenging and when I presented the idea to Andy, one of the owners, he jokingly asked me if I was a "Bridezilla". I told him no, I just like pretty things. He was so happy and excited to make the cake for me that he didn't even charge me extra for the parts needed to hold it up or the practice cakes he'd have to make to ensure the design worked. I grew up in whitestone and I remember my mom bringing home the cheesecakes when they first opened and now whenever I am anywhere near NY I must stop and get cakes. Now that they have the bakery section we can get our rainbow cookies and black n whites all in the same spot. I would give their cakes 10 stars if I could. read more

Being from Boston when I moved to NYC I was looking for the quintessential NY Cheesecake. I tried ALL of them, then I read a review of Cascon as the best in NYC. I drove out to Whtiestone and purchased a small cheesecake. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!! This cheesecake is the best I have ever had. But it doesnt stop there, their Carrot Cake is again, the best I ever had. Dense, moist deliciousness. The rainbow cookies are also incredible. I met the owner Andy a while back and he had me try the rainbows with the cannoli cream fillling, now I wont leave without buying some. He also sold me cannoli shells and a bag of cannolli cream so I could fill my own for Christmas last year. That was the hit of the Holiday!!!! Andy and Brian (the owners) are GREAT guys and super accomodating. I have seen their wedding cakes and they look like works of art. read more

Full disclosure: I don't even like cheesecake. My girlfriend dragged me in here while we were visiting because she wanted a slice, and I had no choice but to go in and give this place a try. And, being in a cheesecake place, well, as Will Ferrell said in Step Brothers, "you're not gonna NOT get Randy Jackson's autograph," right? Everything at Cascon looks incredibly fresh and delicious. A true find for cheesecake lovers but so many other bakery options to satisfy a sweet tooth too. We haven't come here since Cascon offered cheesecakes exclusively many years back but now there are so many more great things to pick from. They even had a rainbow cookie cake (a whole cake made of rainbow cookies!) which I think I'm going to need to try! Let me also say that I generally don't like cheesecake. Cupcakes are more my style. So why did I visit a bakery that specializes in cheesecake? Because my mom absolutely loves cheesecake and she wanted to go. She ordered a mini cheesecake with pineapple topping. It looked so good that I felt the need to try a little. As much as I don't really care for cheesecake, my tune changes when a cheesecake is outstanding. Before coming in today, Junior's was the only cheesecake I enjoyed. But I can honestly say Cascon is even better! We chose Cason to make our wedding cake. They were referred to us by our wedding venue. We went for our cake tasting in July and the cakes and fillings were extremely delicious! However our wedding was 2 weeks ago and when tasting the cake we noticed that strawberries were in our cake when we never chose strawberries. By the time you cut the cake at your wedding of course it's too late. I don't like fruit in cake, and we're not sure how vanilla custard and chocolate mousse fillings got confused with actually fruit strawberries but somehow the wires got crossed. Big disappointment. The cakes are good but please check, double check and triple check that you are getting exactly what you paid for. read more

When visiting friends in NY, they took us to Cascon Bakery. OMG, what a bakery!!! The cannolis are delicious, cookies were great but the cheesecake, can't be beat!!! I've been making a NY style cheesecake for years, these are better than any homemade that I've made or ever had!!! Great assortment of flavors, only wish I could have tried them all. Before heading home, we made another trip to Cascon and bought 4 more to take back with us Everyone loved them!! I put one in the freezer, and it tasted like it was just made.
