I should've taken a picture. It would say much more than my words. Either way, my wife ordered the berry pancake special and it was incredibly good. I ordered two poached eggs, bacon, and home fries. The bacon was fine, a little chewy but some people like that. The home fries, again, fine. But, the eggs we cold and disgusting. Poached eggs, by their very nature, are cooked uniformly. Unlike fried eggs, they are submerged in water and cooked all the way around. These eggs came back with uncooked whites that resembled mucus. I'm sure the eggs were sitting there, waiting on the other orders to be fulfilled. Not wanting to be a hassle, I plowed through, scooping the cold uncooked whites to the side and discovered a piece of not so small egg shell in it. I told the waitress there was an egg shell in the eggs, they were a bit undercooked and cold. Instead of receiving an apology or accommodations, she said she'll share the info with the owner. I was then given an excuse as to why there was an egg shell in the eggs "we use farm fresh eggs and they're very fragile". I use farm fresh eggs at home, they are fragile. It doesn't take more than a moment to remove the shell before cooking and serving it to a customer. She didn't remove the meal from the ticket or discount it and she never apologized. Like I said, just an excuse. All that being said, the place is beautiful, indoors and outside. My wife's pancake was delicious. I'm sure many things on the menu are delicious. They also seemed short staffed. And I won't wright a place off because of one meal and one server. Could be an off day for the chef/cook. The server isn't a always an indicator of the restaurant's values. I do wish she was more accommodating - especially at those prices - but it could've been a perfect storm of being short staffed, rushed cook, and a server that doesn't care. read more

Our only complaint was how loud it was, but the waitress willingly moved our table to a quieter spot. It was too hot to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful gardens. Lunch today at Monets table was wonderful! I hadn't been there in decades. Went there today for lunch with some friends & will definitely be back. Previously, I remember going to a wedding shower there and having dinner another time. Since then, I thought they were just doing catering, but fortunately they are open for lunch (I believe Wednesday-Saturday?). And they have a brunch on the weekend. The place was full - recommend making a reservation. We started with the soup(s) they had - 3 types & we each had a different one. A chicken, beef , and vegetable one. I had the chicken salad sandwich special- delicious! And my friends had the 2 different quiche specials. Everything came with a side of a macaroni salad - very good. We split the almond joy crepe - would recommend!! The restaurant is located in a yellow colonial house - beautiful & quaint. We ate inside as it was cold & rainy, however on a nice warm day - the h garden would be wonderful to have lunch. read more

We went for lunch with friends. The place was full, but not noisy, the separation of the tables in rooms kept the "echo chamber" that haunts so many restaurants to a minimum. Conversation did NOT require shouting. We tried the soup du jour, a Manhattan style fish chowder. Really nice fish flavor and light enough that we weren't spoiled for the main course. All went with sandwiches and I had an open face salmon with a mango chutney curry sauce. (See pic) A thick slice of robust bread, the sauce, some red onion, and greens. The greens were pretty much just decorative, leggy and not a great flavor. I know the red onion looked pretty, but "functionally," it would have been easier to eat if they had been diced. The sauce, and the overall flavor (sans greens) was very good - not too much of any flavor and the salmon went really well with the sauce. Not really worth mentioning, but it came with a macaroni "salad" that was mostly macaroni with a thin oily "dressing." Dessert was crepe with a key lime filling and a (straw) berry sauce on top. The issue here was the bland, barely-lime flavor of the filling. The flavor was very far from what you would expect with "key lime" in the name and it was masked even more by the strawberry flavor. They might have married better with a decent lime flavor. We'll probably come back, but I'm looking for better options. read more

Monday, July 20, 2026. We planned to buy two combo meals--one for me and one for my husband. Since parking there is extremely difficult and expensive, we decided my husband would stay in the car while I went inside to make the purchase. Because my hands were dirty, I wanted to ask for permission to use the restroom to wash them before ordering. Unexpectedly, the response I received from the woman serving as General Manager was incredibly rude and barbaric, even though I had made my request politely. I am not a vagrant just looking to use the restroom; I am a paying customer intending to buy food. She is unfit to be a General Manager--or even an employee anywhere else--given her animalistic rudeness. Even animals know the difference between a customer and a non-customer, despite lacking human intelligence. I urge the owners of Wendy's to sanction this woman, and I do not recommend that potential customers shop here. read more

Fabulous lunch! We were "first-timers" today - but we'll definitely be back after today's meal. The soups, sandwiches, salads, and desserts were all wonderful. There are very few times when I have left a restaurant with plans of an immediate return. After eating, I had tried to make a dinner reservation for my birthday. Unfortunately, when I asked, I was informed that Monet's Table does not serve dinner. The hostess did tell me that they serve an amazing brunch. I will definitely be back to confirm this. My son and I were on vacation from school and work, so we were completing our week of day trips. When my son said that he wanted a BLT, I went to Yelp in search of a new place. Off the beaten path and in the most beautiful location, we found Monet's Table. Like any 10 year old, my son had requested that we eat outside. We were seated at a small garden table surrounded by flowers and bumblebees. There were about 5 tables of families in a small area, but it was still quite quiet and relaxing. The waitress as well as the others who had helped with delivery and cleanup were helpful and friendly. Orders were taken and food was delivered quickly. My son's BLT was served with a small dish of pasta salad. He was very happy with his sandwich but not a huge fan of the salad. It was a little fancier than what he's used to. I had ordered the shrimp skewers over a grain salad with watermelon, mint and feta. The salad complemented the skewers perfectly. Having saved room for dessert we splurged on a key lime crepe and lava cake. Both were delicious. On our way out one of the incredibly nice employees told us about the chickens on the property. She gave us some feed and let us feed the chickens. Pretty soon they will be producing eggs that will be used for the restaurant. I would highly recommend a visit in the warmer months if you enjoy outdoor dining. I hope to be back in a few weeks to experience the indoor dining. read more

We come here every Saturday for brunch, and we've been doing so for 20 years or more. I love the Martha's Vineyard omelet and Eggs Uncle Kenny. My dining companion always enjoys the Eggs Shirley. Food superb service superb. When you go in there, you feel very special. Their food and beverages are served in such a way that it's just above the rest. It's quite impressive. I do recommend that you have a reservation before you go or at least call so you know there's a table Because it is quite a small restaurant although in the summertime when you can sit outside, there's more seating. Just a very, very classy homemade almost kind of like being at grandma's. Where she just knows how to cook really well and everything is fresh and healthy and good. It was such a delight to have lunch at Monet's Table in Tolland! Their menu is divine, with everything sounding scrumptious for omnivores, vegetarians, and vegans. They do offer LuAnn's gluten-free bread as a substitute, too. The restaurant is open 11:30am-2:30pm on Wednesdays through Fridays, and Saturdays from 9am-2pm (there's a brunch on Saturdays that I absolutely must try). I love that the location feels very "away from it all" and yet is just a couple minutes from several busy local routes. My friend and I arrived about noon--along with almost a dozen people, mostly retirees, but a couple young families arrived later. Not a worry about overcrowding as there were indoor and outdoor tables to fit everyone. We headed straight to the outdoor seating, and a very polite man took us to a lovely umbrella-covered table in the garden. What a beautiful setting! Gorgeous flowers and hosta, and a little water feature amidst the plants. This was the best outdoor eating experience I've had in a long while. Our server and host were so professional, polite, and welcoming. They were very knowledgeable about Monet's Table and the menus and offerings, specials, and substitutions. Though there were a lot of us descending on the place at once, we were well taken care of! The hardest thing was to decide what to eat, as everything sounded fabulous. My friend got Moroccan Kebabs (she chose tofu over the shrimp option) which came with watermelon, feta, and mint tabbouleh; one of the soup specials; and a slice of their Anadama bread. She also had a little pot of Harney & Sons tea (my fave brand ever). I chose the Vegan Black Bean & Sweet Potato Burger on vegan Andama bread with greens & tomatoes, and a side of chipotle aioli. I also had the ginger lemon unsweetened iced tea, which was very refreshing! My friend raved about her dish and the way the flavors worked well with the tabbouleh. A perfect savory/sweet/tangy combination that I am going to order next time. We both found the toasted Anadama bread to have a very lightly sweet molasses taste. It also paired beautifully with my black bean and sweet potato burger. Soooooo good. All the while, we enjoyed a leisurely conversation, never once feeling rushed along. People arrived, people left, and there seemed to always be a couple tables open at any given time. It was a cooler afternoon than anticipated day, so I'm sure a fair amount of diners chose to eat indoors. Anyway, we had a great time eating great food in great surroundings. We did consider dessert (they all sounded amazing & fresh) but saved that for another visit. Monet's Table is going to be in my top 5 go-to spots through summer! Maybe I'll see you there? I've driven by this cute place several times. Today, I was invited by my neighbor and friend. We sat outside in a cute gazebo, flowers and plants all around. It's such a beautiful setup. We went inside to take a peek as well. Very inviting and comfortable environment. The menu is short and sweet. Those make the best restaurants, honestly. I had one of the soup specials that was a curried cauliflower soup. It was different and very good, along with a grilled cheese that was perfectly cooked. The bread was crispy yet soft as you bit into it, the cheese gooey and melted nicely, and the tomato and bacon were the perfect compliment. It was also served with a type of cold noodle/macaroni salad that tasted refreshing. My friend ordered the Quiche, a large piece, and she enjoyed it. read more

I came here for brunch with my husband and a friend on a Saturday morning. I made reservations and glad I did so because the place was busy! We were seated right away and our waitress took our drink order. They had some good specials on the menu and a large selection in general. I got the Lynn special omelette and it was delicious! We got a side order of the home fries with bacon and cheese, but I will say that it was not a lot of bacon or cheese for the price. Mainly potatoes. The mimosas were also very small for the $12 price. I'd definitely come back, but probably not order a beverage or a side. The entrees were definitely worth it though. read more

I've been here once before and enjoyed it. This visit was a bit off. We were seated promptly and given water. The next time , meeting our waitress, came quite a bit after. This place is known for its delicious eggs Benedict's. I could not wait to have their traditional! The waitress mentioned that unfortunately anything with hollandaise. That was a bit of a bummer. We ordered drinks and food right away. I had to redirect and ordered an omelet with cheddar, mushrooms and onions It was about 25 min later that we received our drink. Our waitress was also our bartender at a completely packed place. About 45 min later we got our food. Mine was ok. The Bloody Mary was pretty tasty. I know the folks had to leave to get a plane. It showed and she apologized. I'm empathetic to the situation but I think my hopes of the hollandaise I had been dreaming off really made this a 3 star for me. read more

We were looking for a brunch or lunch venue on our drive to Litchfield, CT, and found a 4.5-star Yelp reviewed restaurant called Monet's Table. Monet's Table has limited restaurant hours, as they also have a busy catering business. The restaurant is situated in a 1750 Farmhouse at 167 Tolland Stage Road in Tolland and has all the rustic charm one would hope to find at this type of establishment. It was moderately busy as we arrived close to Noon on a warm Saturday. We were immediately seated and our waitress arrived promptly to explain review the menu. Candidly, it was difficult to choose as they provided so many interesting choices. We finally opted for the Eggs Benedict Thermador and the Eggs Benedict Mignon. The menu says that these dishes are server over toast. However, this is a radical understatement as they provide a thick piece of homemade toast that is light and delicious. My filet mignon was served perfectly medium (pink inside) and was tender and tasty. The Bearnaise sauce was awesome! The thermador was equally delicious with small pieces of lobster, asparagus and a tasty Bechamel sauce. Though these dishes were sufficiently large, I was left wanting more! A quick visit to their website will demonstrate that Monet's Table focuses much more on food presentation than on digital presentation, and I didn't see a restaurant menu on the site (Dear Monet's Table, your copyright says 2007-2017, but your website looks like it was last updated in 2007!). However, there are some photos of the menu on Yelp. I wish we lived closer to this restaurant, as I'd love to be a regular here. I strongly recommend Monet's Table for brunch and lunch lovers. Such a pleasant restaurant in an old house with cute decor, a nice garden, and a surprisingly diverse menu. We were greeted very warmly when we arrived around lunch time and seated in the room near the bar area. The lunch menu includes something for everyone. Plus, there were lunch specials! My husband opted for the pulled pork quesadilla special, which was a little bit of a let down since there wasn't much meat in it. I got the duck wrap, which was good overall. Both came with a side pasta salad, which was a nice touch. Desserts sounded good, but we didn't have time to get anything. 5/5 for food. 2/5 for service. Absolutely delicious food with awesome menu options. The setting is beautiful and we love the chickens running around the garden! There's a swing in the front yard that was also great during our long wait (the only downside). We waited over and hour and a half for our meal and were not waited on until we'd been seated over 20 mins without waters or coffees. They seem to be super understaffed, but I think communication is the bigger issue. If they'd let us know about the wait in advance and had come over a few more times to check our waters and explain the situation, that would have improved things immensely. I completely understand that it's out of their control but an apology would have been nice considering how long the wait was. I feel badly for the waitresses, whose tips surely suffer and whose work is under appreciated as the result of inefficient kitchen operations. They need to either hire more staff, train their staff on appropriate table side protocols when the wait times get long, or reduce the number of tables to be able to keep up with demand. Sad to have to leave less than a wonderful review. Service aside, this place is amazing. read more

I've been here a few times, for breakfast and for lunch, and each time the food is great! We went today to sit outside in there garden and it was stunningly beautiful. The food was fantastic. I got the turkey sandwich with chipotle mayo, cheddar, and bacon. Which sounds simple but was completely delicious, I also enjoyed a glass of prosecco overlooking the fountain. I am giving this restaurant one star for the waitress we had because she was amazing, and one star for the scenery. We waited for over an hour for our food and had to leave to pick up our son. We asked for the food to go instead and we're told they hadn't started making it yet! We made a reservation, and showed up 15 minutes early!!!! The hostess was INCREDIBLY rude to us, we received no apology at all, she was arrogant and curt. The waitress was the one who saved this place from getting any stars at all really. They seriously need to hire more staff, stop taking reservations, or cut back on seating to accommodate their customers. And hire a new hostess. She's terrible. read more

Located in a pretty random spot is a pretty awesome brunch restaurant! Monet's table feels like you're entering someone's home and eating at their dinner table. You can definitely taste the love that went into the food. It has a very rustic/home feel to it. You can see from the random assortment of China to the napkins. It's not your typical restaurant that has standard silverware. Every piece of furniture is pretty unique and a little mismatched. But that's what's cool about this place! Also - there's some chickens outside by the parking lot. So, expect some fresh food! The prices are fair for the portions and quality of ingredients used. Overall, I was very pleased with both dishes that I tried (Filet benedict and crab cake special). I'll def. be back if I'm in the area! read more

Wonderful old Victorian house made into a restaurant. I don't think you'll ever get the same food twice. The reason being is that everything is made right there and all freshly made daily so the taste may change slightly from time to time. Different herbs at different times of the year. The help are all respectful and easy to deal with. I have a low sodium diet and the chef cooked whatever I wanted without the salt and without a problem. If you want a quite evening you really can't get it here. The rooms are beautiful but tight and the voice noise just echoes off the walls and ceilings! read more

The "Jackie", named after a server we met. Our server was Cassandra: I suggest what that can be: no antibiotic pastrami, russian, slaw, onion bread, grilled. Fresh pickles.
