You need a little patience when it's busy (place gets PACKED at lunch, especially on nice days when people don't mind standing and waiting at the window), but it's always well worth the wait. With only counter seating this classic Natick diner opens the lines of communication with servers and other patrons. I can't tell you how many times I've engaged in conversation with other customers or staff where it actually improved my meal or brightened my day - not something you always get at a standard restaurant! Great variety of fairly basic foods: grilled cheeses, burgers, hot dogs, tuna, deserts, all sorts of sodas to choose from, milk/chocolate milk, etc! Outdoor seating is also available if it's full inside, but worst case get it to go and eat downtown on the common! Great way to support local businesses staffed by a variety of Natick locals (ranging from teens to adults, but all very friendly). read more

Have always loved the old timey feel of Casey's. You can definitely feel the history while eating here. But the prices are very expensive 2.75 for a hot dog... Come on... And the people behind the counter can often be rude. But the burgers are to die for and the hot dogs do taste delicious. So if you like over priced food with sometimes decent service depending on the day have fun eat here. This place is a Natick institution. My dad would take my sis and I there almost every Sunday when I was a kid. Recently, I went back the day of my dad's funeral for some lunch and a little nostalgia. I was waiting in line to order a couple of all-arounds (what else?!) when the guy in front of me was fumbling through his order. Finally Mike (who was working the window) said, " I don't care what you don't want on the dog, tell me what you do want!" I smiled because I knew that I was home again. Ive never been there.. or at least not that I can recall. I keep hearing how great it is. So I rallied the troops at work and we went. All of us first timers except for one woman who grew up in Natick... 2 car loads full of people, we arrive at noon. The place is packed. Natick schools apparently had a half day so there are TONS of teenagers and little kids with parents.. construction workers, business people etc... So about 5 of us are waiting in line.. we tried to go in but it was too packed. The line took FOREVER. I was first, I put my order in.. 2 hotdogs and a cheese burger (yes I know, Im a piggy but I had to try both) I paid. Got my dogs right away but the burger I was told would take a few minutes.. Behind me 4 of my coworkers .. (3 other co-workers were about 8 people behind us in line) The Guy in the window yells out for the next order. One of my co-worker puts her order in for a dog and cheeseburger.. The guy behind the counter asks the rest of the people we were with what they wanted.. Now there is some confusion, how many hot dogs with ketchup or mustard, how many burgers with what on them etc.... Now its time to pay.. conversation goes something like this... Caseys guy "$27.25" my co workers (all with money out) "um.. can you break that up?" Caseys Guy now has pissy face my co workers "well its just easier" Caseys guy "easier for who?" OK WHAT?? How rude.. I felt like he was a HOTDOG Nazi (like the soup Nazi in Seinfeld) They asked them to all give their orders together and then got pissed when my coworkers asked them to break it up by person. and then, we get our orders and its all screwed up. Now, the hotdogs were good.. nowhere NEAR as good as what people had told me, or the reviews I read online.. The cheeseburger was good though. But I will say, that I dont think any of us are going back to that place again. HORRIBLE customer service. read more

Awesome $4 yummy burgers - local spot, been around ages, hidden gem in natick. Not a big space inside but they have a few picnic tables outside and a takeout window for easy ordering. Haven't tried the breakfast sandwich yet but will def check it out if i'm nearby around breakfast time:) read more

Tiny spot in downtown Natick that brings you back to a simpler time. Talk it up with the folks behind the counter and they'll tell you the long history of the joint! Burgers and dogs (breakfast too) and that's about it. Dogs are in steamed buns and were just about average. The burgers surprised me as they cooked onions right into the grease filled chuck. Highly recommend for hamburgers, which are fresh not frozen. Not a fan of their mushy hot dogs, and they are non-all beef hotdogs. Prefer Zippity Do Dog in Framingham for hot dogs which is not far location wise. read more

Maybe the only place in the world where hotdogs are appetizers. It is nearly impossible to go in for any other sandwich and resist have a dog or two while you're waiting! They may not be the "best hotdogs in the world" but the snappy steamed dogs and steamed buns are just too good to ignore. Casey's Diner is a place I experienced over 20 years ago while living in Natick MA. 2008 all these years later and all it took was a news report about a best hot dog which prompted me to tell a memory story to my children of this wonderful quaint place near my first apartment in Natick and how on a chilly day with the windows all steamed up I'd go in and get a great hot dog and also experience friendly service and step back in time with the old pictures that are displayed. It was such a good feeling to find out that the little caboose without tracks is still chugging along. Go! enjoy this little place, you will have a memory of it for years to come. read more

This place is legendary! No question about it! Always busy, always delicious, always consistent! I used to eat hot dogs growing up and this was the ONLY place I liked them from. Now I am a vegetarian, which would seem weird considering how much I love this place,...but now I get their amazing egg salad and it is incredible! Yes egg salad! How can it be so good? I don't know!! They have the secret touch! I get it on a hot dog bun, which if you know Casey's, that means a very special steamed hot dog bun that melts in your mouth! Then I add onions and it is seriously just TO DIE FOR! YUM!!!! Anyways you also have to get a chocolate milk when you come here, I don't know why, but it seems like tradition. Only place I ever get one, and it just tastes so good! If you do eat hotdogs, then OMG I can actually still remember the snap!
