In the area for business from Az. Decided I did not want to eat the breakfast provided and the hotel and drove 20 min to a local diner for sausage and gravy. Service was very good. Eggs were fine and sausage was pretty good. Gravy smelled and tasted like there was vinegar in it. Spoiled the entire plate. Server did not question it, took it back and when she returned said the cook stated there was nothing different about it. She apologized and offered a different dish which was fine and tasted good. I never ever write reviews but this place was calling for one from the jump. First off, as soon as we walked in , the place smelt like a pig sty and when the waitress said we could sit anywhere we liked, i felt altitude right off the bat. I could already tell this would be one horrible experience, but i decided to give it a shot. i very much regret my decision. The waitress , Isabell, did not greet us kindly and seemed very bothered with every single thing we had ordered. For one , i ordered GRILLED homefries , and she questioned me with such a disgusted tone " You want those Grilled ? " like YES i want them grilled . For second, when the food came out , half of our order was not there . my main corse didn't even come out like she forgot to write down my main course. my brother asked for strawberries and bananas on his pancakes and sure enough, only bananas. for third, the food was entirely inedible. My sisters sausage links were clearly uncooked, and drenched in oil. no one wants to eat straight oil. crepes were completely uncooked and i could not even enjoy my homefries either, because guess what? those were uncooked as well. i'm pretty sure they weren't even GRILLED . more like microwaved. and fourthly, none of our drinks got refilled nor did she even come to check up on us to make sure everything was okay when it was clear as day that something was wrong with our order and our plates were still full 20 minutes into eating. she basically threw the check at us like a football. nor at that moment asked if everything was good or if we wanted to go boxes which i thought personally ( as a server) was very unprofessional. we ended up leaving a 20% tip but instantly regretted every decision we made from the moment we walked in the place. and for the reviews... having the owner answering his own fake reviews is quite entertaining... makes no sense for why this is place has a rating of 4.0, it absolutely is a joke. this whole place is a joke, a walking comedian. get better servers if you want your place to run smoother. keep up the great work (of nothing) read more

Ordered takeout from here on a Sunday morning. Food is tasty and well-priced. We ordered the eggs and hash platter, as well as a sausage egg and cheese sandwich. Was in Ashland and wanted lunch. Happened to notice this place next to Market Basket and decided to give it a try. So happy I did. Bright happy friendly place. Our waitress was super friendly but not bothersome. She understood we were there to socialize and left us alone accordingly. Had the 33 burger. It was really good. The right amount of char on the burger. And they grilled the bun!!! Perfectly cooked medium well (yes, I'm one of those!). I was asked if I wanted the lettuce tomato mayonnaise. No!!! So didn't have to deal with that crap on my plate. They also have a chip option. Which is great for me since I'm not a big fry gal. This will become my new Ashland spot. Much better than Ashland Ale House if you don't give a crap about Beer. read more

The good: Service was terrific. I was seated quickly and it took me longer to decide what to order than for my cheese omelette to arrive piping hot. Coffee was refilled several times before my cup ever had a chance to be emptied. I'd come back based on the service alone, and I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars. Unfortunately, the service overshadowed the food, which was fine, just nothing special. The omelette was flat - nothing light or fluffy about it. The home fries were bland - some caramelized onions or something for flavor would have been nice. The coffee was drinkable diner coffee. I did like that the toast was served dry with butter and jelly on the table for DIY. Prices were fair, but can get high if you add coffee and juice to your breakfast meal. read more

I can't understand all the positive reviews. Got here around noon on a Sat and only 2 tables were occupied. I ordered a bbq chicken wrap and my wife a salad. My son ordered pecan pancakes. Here's the rundown: wife's salad was nothing but lettuce, cucumbers and chicken soaked in BBQ sauce. She could barely eat it. Don't keep salads on the menu if you're not even going to try adding basic salad ingredients to it. My chicken wrap was filled with HUGE chunks of raw onion which were not listed on the menu and made it so overpowering and gross. My son ordered the pecan pancakes which were excellent. My guess is this place specializes in breakfast food, which is fine, but if that's what you are just be that and simplify the menu. I also forgot to mention our food took 30+ minutes to come out, way to long. I hate to write a review like this because the staff were friendly and polite. read more

We were looking for a place to eat breakfast post soccer game. This place had a solid four stars and was the closest. We decided to give it a whirl. Service was fantastic. We were immediately seated and given menus. From the time we ordered to the time we left were were asked half a dozen times if we wanted to refill our coffees. That's service. The food.. my daughter loved her chocolate chip pancakes and my wife enjoyed he French toast. My eggs over medium were good and the wheat toast was solid. My home fries were cold, flavorless, and tasted like they had been around a few days. The bacon is where the wheels came off. I Carolina snider myself a bit of a bacon connoisseur. We all had bacon and it wasn't not edible. It tasted like it was bathed in salt. I don't know if it was a bad batch or what. It just wasn't good. I feel like Imay have caught this place on an off day. Next time I'm in Ashland I'll give it another try. read more

I ordered a take out breakfast one morning before work. I had one of their breakfast specials which consisted of two eggs any style, (mine were scrambled), two strips of bacon, (you had a choice of bacon, ham or sausage), home fries and two slices of light rye toast. They have a wide variety of breads to choose from. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was 80% meat and 20% fat, the light rye tasted like it came from a bakery, not from a plastic supermarket bag and the home fries were red bliss potatoes that were lightly seasoned and not at all greasy. This was the best breakfast that I've had in a long time. The cost was only $5.95 plus tax because it was a special that I ordered before 8:00 AM. The diner serves breakfast all day and also offers a variety of salads and sandwiches. The prices are extremely reasonable. They have a 6-ounce Angus burger on the menu for $5.95. It comes with lettuce, tomato and onion and your choice of french fries or potato chips. I will definitely be going back to try this burger. Please check out this diner. Don't be scared by some of the other reviews. It's a new place and I'm sure they are still working out some kinks. Now...we had breakfast here and it was superb! We were seated immediately and our food was served in under 10 minutes. I had eggs Benedict florentine which was awesome! The eggs were cooked perfectly, spinach was fresh, hollandaise was yummy! My friend had eggs over easy with sausage which he loved. The home fries are just superb with the perfect amount of seasoning and they weren't greasy at all. The prices are very reasonable. I love the 50s looking tables and chairs. Please give this place a chance. We need a good diner in this part of town!!!! read more

Came here with 3 friends. Ordered steak and eggs, emergency room breakfast, and a 33 breakfast plate. 30 minutes later and still sitting here. No refills on drinks either. When I called the host to inquire, I was told the kitchen was backed up and they did not have a time estimate. The wait staff is not attentive at all. Even after I expressed my frustration, the waitress still never asked if any one of us needed refills on our drinks. Even taking in to account that it's Mother's Day it should still not have taken that long. We are still waiting 40 minutes later. We asked for waters while waiting and still waiting for those. Update: I ended up sending the steak tips back. They were cooked rear, when I asked for well done. The waitress (MG) never once apologized and still charged me for the juice. My friends also did not enjoy their food. We went to this place because it's fairly new and won't be coming back. By the way those waters never made it out. read more

I wanted to like this place but unfortunately I did not have a great first experience. I ordered the western omelet with a side of french toast. The omelet was covered in oil/grease I'm assuming from the vegetables. The inside was not edible, but I tried to eat around the omelet. The ham inside tasted odd, like it was just wet deli ham that had not been thrown on the grill at all. The home fries could use a lot of work, they need way more seasoning. My friend ordered the breakfast burrito and the tortilla was not grilled, which made the entire tortilla very, very soggy and oily once the food was in there. She could not eat the tortilla, but was able to salvage what was inside. I might suggest they grill the tortillas in the future to avoid sogginess. By the time the waitress was clearing the plates, my friend's tortilla was clearly uneaten and glistening in oil but the waitress did not comment on it. The french toast was really good, I would probably come back and try something like pancakes or another type of french toast, but not an omelet or eggs. Everything was very, very oily unfortunately. For diner food, it was pretty good. The prices were reasonable and the egg dishes were the best part. They actually ask if you want your bacon crispy (perk!) And are willing to make your meal exactly what you want in it. The downsides were that there was so much butter on the waffles and French toast that we couldn't taste the syrup as well as the portions being a little small, for a diner. Two of my tablemates ordered French fries instead of home fries and got four or five (steak)fries each. They were pretty disappointed. The inside was nice if minimalist and parking was a breeze. Almost missed the place entirely because they don't have an obvious sign like the rest of the stores in the plaza. I would say this is a great place if you don't want to spend a lot on brunch in the area and yoybjust want diner food to enjoy with your family. Update after a comment from the owner: 1. That was a typo. Fixed. 2. I had half of an order with the emergency room. The French toast was the real problem. Frankly, I don't like to return food and really shouldn't have to. I ate it and dealt with it. That's the way I was raised. And if you don't normally do fries like that...then don't do it? I'm just telling you what came out on two plates, whether that normally happens or not, it happens. 3. It is the basics done well. I haven't had a bad experience. I generally do the hash and eggs. Others often get pancakes waffles. Fruit cup is pretty good for the money. Just tried this place with the family. 10 of us, we called ahead and they rearranged things quickly to fit us once we arrived. Service was excellent as was the food. Omelets were massive with high quality ingredients, the potatoes were perfect, crispy but not overdone. Chicken fried steaks had a great batter and gravy, and my smoked salmon eggs benedict was top shelf. We'll be coming back for sure. Prices are a couple bucks above a true cheap diner but the quality was more than enough to make it a great value. Think 5 star service and food, 2-3 star price and venue. I'm not a connoisseur of corned beef hash but I know a good one from a terrible one and that's from bad Sunday afternoon chow in various duty stations in the Air Force. This morning I had one of the very best ones ever in my life at this little breakfast and lunch place where we have eaten before. The chew and the crust were perfect and topped with 2 large eggs over easy, again cooked to perfection. Unless you go to high end gourmet breakfast joints, breakfast is pretty much the same everywhere. But the All American does normal breakfast offerings to a high degree of fast and perfect. Again, it's at the end of the Market Basket plaza in Ashland and worth the trip. Yes, you can get breakfast stuff at any of the chain fast food and donut places and it will be okay. But at the All American, it is the husband and wife, the owners, who give the personal service and quality cooking. read more
