The California eggs Benedict is 10/10 and so so incredibly fresh. Green perfect avocados, incredible hollandaise, wonderful tomato, egg poached to perfection. I really feel like this is the best breakfast for miles around. THEN there's the godly blueberry pancakes. 3 huge fluffy pancakes with just the right amount of sweetness. Get them to go if you're stuffed! They fit perfectly in the round take out container, and do stay fresh. The home fries are fantastic. But, add onion for an even better option!! Depot dinner.... Amazing. Great food, really popular!! Trying to get in and have Saturday and Sunday breakfast there is... hard. I've never had a bad experience and I've had some really good ones! I remember having a Gyros plate there that was awesome and I'd go again just for that!! If you're looking for egg dishes.... Their omelettes are great. I don't love their home fries (I do mine differently at home) but it's still good food. Their coffee is too expensive, but that's a very small issue. We have visited a few times, mostly breakfast but today was a lunch visit. I have always liked the staff, very friendly and accommodating. It's also nice to find a breakfast place where when you leave you don't smell like it all day! (good exhaust) Today we tried lunch, and it was great. I had the Ruben and he had the Chicken Salad. Neither of us finished it, they were really hearty. The place is really clean and parking pretty easy. The only downside is it's a tad expensive....I love that you get a filling sandwich, but $45 for 2 sandwiches and 2 small sodas was a bit much for us. This place is always hopping which is a very good sign. There is an option for takeout if you place order ahead of time if you don't want a wait up to 45 minutes even on weekday and usually more on a Saturday. Service is great. The staff really hustle and help each other which is a positive sign on many levels. Their pastrami sandwiches are huge with fresh lean meat and omelettes never disappoint as well. On my last trip with friends and family I tried the steak tips. Decent portion nicely marinated but not too salty. The mashed potatoes were excellent and I was able to take home half which helped me justify the $30 meal. Place is very clean including the rest room which if you know is usually indicative of the cleanliness of the kitchen as well. Has booths with lots of 2 tops in middle so easy to accommodate 4 people. Lots of retired folks, veterans and families. We give this place an easy 2 thumbs up! read more

We stopped here for brunch on a Saturday on our way to Salem. There was a 25-30 minute wait, but they ask for your number and call when your table is ready. The wait was accurate. We were seated and promptly asked for our drink order. We both asked for water and coffee, and even got our own cups of creamer! I created my own omelette with mushrooms, spinach, bacon, ham and American cheese. I substituted my home fries with fruit, and went with the sourdough toast. Everything was very fresh and good. My friend also enjoyed her bacon and cheese omelette. The service was outstanding and so friendly. Our waiter kept our coffee cups filled and made light conversation. Great little spot we were able to Come across on the way before getting to Salem this weekend. It was Perfect to enjoy breakfast/ lunch before entering the chaos in Salem so we didn't mind waiting the 20-25 minutes. Depot Diner was in a plaza next to Other businesses with plenty of parking. The 25 min came up quick because before we knew it we were getting called. Inside was pretty spacious and clean and staff were super friendly. Food came out very quick too. Menu was big. On the menu they had omelettes, sandwiches, pancakes and then lunch items as well! So much to choose from. I ordered a bacon and cheese omelette and it came with home fries and toast ( my toast was GFree). Breakfast arrived very quickly so we didn't need to wait long . Food was fresh, tasty and came out nice and hot. I ate everything and had no complaints! Left the restaurant satisfied and full! If I ever come across this area or decide we will be going to Salem Again.. I'll be making a stop here again! read more

Our goto place breakfast. Very consistent, the food is great. a local favorite for several years. Serving breakfast and lunch. I believe they close at 3 PM. I especially like the Greek specials, favorite being moussaka, which they have for a few days each month. it comes with the freshest, tastiest Greek salad you'll ever have. I like it so much, I get daily emails reporting their specials for the day and make a special trip to eat there on days they have moussaka. My daughter thinks they have the best eggs Benedict she's ever had and orders that frequently. it's almost always busy, and for good reason...hard to find consistently high quality food perfectly cooked.
