Anyone with an iPhone entering their store location into Apple Maps will be told they're open until 7PM. They're not, so don't waste your time. The store has done nothing to address this with Apple Maps and any iPhone user trying to go here will arrive, walk up to the locked doors, and get pissed off. I told an employee locking up and they just told me to go to the cash America website for hours. But the common person will not do that, they'll see the hours on the maps app and go there to find they're closed. read more

The Asian guy who "owns" the store kinda sucks. He doesn't take anything and lowballs you when he does. The other guys are better to work with. I came in with two gold bracelets and walked out with $250. Whenever I get the Asian guy, he tries to tell me they are fake and won't take them but the other workers know they are real and they tend to buy them off me whenever the Asian guy isn't around or isn't paying attention. It's a real hit or miss situation. I tend to go to the location on MLK if the situation allows me to. Avoid this location if the Asian guy is working. read more

My girlfriend just moved into her new place, without cable or internet and we thought it would be fun to stop by a pawn shop to grab Blu-Rays for the night. We had just left another Cash America a few miles south that had $2 Blu-Rays, $1 DVDs, and a Bin that had 2 for $1 clearance DVDs. The same clearance bin was at this location in writing a review for. At both pawn shops the clearance bin had little yellow tagged dvds that said .99 cent clearance. We had a stack of Blu-Rays and 2 DVDs, and one clearance DVD on the counter ready to buy, and my girl asked if the clearance dvd was 50 cents like the other location. The cashier got his manager, and the (assistant) manager walks out with the worst attitude pointing at the yellow sticker as if I'm a child asking me what the price says. I said I understand this, but since your regular DVD's are 99 cents why does this bin have clearance stickers on it? After 5 minutes of insults he walks away. His co worker said don't worry about it and to give that ONE DVD to us for .50 cents and he refused, so we left the establishment. I could care less about 50 cents I make more in 2 months than this dude makes in a year easily. Store manager just decline to even loan on a item because her worker and I was going through procedure when taking loan on car audio kt has to be wired in ECT but because the worker took to long sbe sajd to not take in making jt seem as if there is a line out the door. When taking in car audio a screen it showed it came with a backup camera which I have I asked it's fine if you need it I can just take it out meaning cut the wire as it'll need to e wire in regardless but since she lacked knowledge that also was a pass even though total for amp and screen was over 1000$ she was budding into each sales person transaction like they can't handle themselves or make commission where they need to decline taking in items yeah the store manager is garbage no wonder they have such a high turn over rate read more

If I could give this zero stars, I absolutely would. I came in and there a line to the door and only two cashiers (which I didn't mind) The manager there Lisa is the worse. She barley rang customers up and just wandered around the store but she sees a long line. I don't even know how she got to management level. She had the most horrendous attitude ever and to think she's a "manager". She's not professional at all, because of her I had a bad experience. People like her are the reasons why people do not return to a certain location. I've been to multiple different Cash America Pawn Exchange and I've always had pleasant experiences. I don't go to pawn shops for a good reason. They resell stolen goods. My car was stolen and had the stereo ripped out. The police told me to call around to pawn shops. The decent places said that they don't take car stereos anymore because of the theft. They recommended I call this gem. I called multiple times and couldn't get through. Finally I called the Cash America helpline and had them try. They got through and had me try again. The guy I spoke to acted like he knew he had stolen stuff. He told me that I won't find it. I kept asking about how, if in some strange circumstance I still chose to pursue this, I would get it back if it was brought in. He was intentionally unhelpful. He told me that they hold things for 30 days first. I said ok, so call back in a month? "No, you'll have to go to each location in person". "Wait," I responded, "can't I just call?" "No, because we hold it for 30 days." Either he was stupid or he knew he was participating in theft. You choose. read more

So the customer service here is unbelievably bad, I would never buy a damn thing from these idiots, their electronics are in such poor condition and they're ridiculously overpriced, and when you come in selling a product they really give the most disrespectful lowball offers they can come up with, and on top of that they refuse to buy products that are better than the garbage they have in store... Their employees are very poorly trained in dealing with customers, and are rude. They can't even answer simple questions and provide information over the phones. This is certainly the most unprofessional business I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. From the very moment you enter the door you can sense the apathy of the employees. If you do chose to use them (which I do not suggest) expect long lines in which employees will engage in several side conversations as if you are not important to their business. It seems that they are unable to multitask and every single employee must get involved with each transaction. The manager shows up to work with tooth paste stains on his shirt and his belly hanging out which is a testament to the professionalism of this business. I have been here several times and each time had the same experience though I must say not with the same employee...the turnover is HORRENDOUS! This place was alright... Honestly more like 2.5 stars but I'll round up. I don't have too much to say other than.... These prices.... Like you're blowing smoke out your *** if you think you'll get a great bargain here. I came to check out some subwoofers and stereo systems. Most of the subs were beat up and overpriced and the amps were just old and some were wayyyyy over priced. So big loss there! Went across the aisle looking at home speakers and there were a few okay things.. I saw a pair of sony speakers that looked really clean and were small but has a woofer built into the box so just by looking I could tell they could handle some decent highs and lows... I look at feb price for them... Almost 50$ at this point I look and ALL the cables are gone.... No AC and no leads to each speaker. I can go on to amazon and buy a CA 5.1 system new for 35$ sorry. Other then that this pawn shop has had the biggest selection by far +1 star. Great parking for being on Rainer +.5 and the staff seemed to be pretty friendly and wanted to help +1. Just don't come with high hopes of finding the deal of the century. Be ready to bargain and you might get a good deal here depending on what you're looking for. read more
