A few days ago I googled "cash for gold" in the Boston area and found this service. After I called…read moreand made a quick appointment (really I just told them where and when I wanted to meet) a guy named Kevin came to my home and weighed my stuff and explained their "haggle free guarantee" cash offer to me. I had some stuff that I wanted to sell that I had picked up from the storage locker auctions. I had a few pieces of gold, a few silver coins and the lion's share of what I was selling was sterling silver jewelry. I liked the service for a couple reasons first they traveled to me and second in addition to buying gold they also bought the silver jewelry and the coins, so basically it was a one stop shop kinda deal, not all the places I called bought everything. I did try and compare prices with another mobile cash for gold place that said they would travel to my location however they said I would have sell at least 20 grams of gold for me to get that service. The people at cash fast had no such minimum when I spoke with them so that's why they got my business. It took very little time to do the whole thing. They said they could resize it... and boy did they!!! This vintage Masonic ring from the 1930s looks brand new and fits like a charm. The ring looks as though it were made for me... unique... not like one of those cheesy new rings either... a classic refitted and will be worn with pride. The price was below what I was quoted, and I was told early July but had the ring three weeks early. Highest recommendation for Harborlight Jewelers... great service, prices and quality. I had some jewelry to sell, some jewelry to fix, and a couple of things to buy. I shopped around…read moreand went to many highly-recommended local jewelers. Not only did Jeff at Rogers give me the best price for the jewelry I wanted to sell, but he exhibited incredibly high integrity in his processes and procedures. I was so impressed! He was above and beyond the other jewelers I went to by miles! He also took a lot of time with me even though I walked out without selling or buying anything, because I was still doing my research. So he spent almost an hour with me and got nothing out of it and was very kind about it. And when I returned a couple of days later, he was welcoming, just as helpful, and went above and beyond for me. Like I said, I did the legwork and compared him to other jewelers, and he is now my go-to jeweler. I told my husband to stop using any other jewelers and just go to Jeff at Rogers, and I would say that to anyone else. He was so honest about things he did not need to be honest about. For example, I asked him to look at the prongs on the rings that I wear every day, and he noticed that two stones in one ring are broken. But you could only tell under the microscope. But under the microscope, WOW! They are broken!!! He had, at that point, just purchased some jewelry from me, so he knew I had some money and could have very, very easily convinced me to replace those stones. Instead, he suggested I wait until one of the stones falls out and then replace both of them. There was no need to make that suggestion when he could have made money on the spot. But he did the right thing, because you cannot tell that they're broken unless you're looking under a microscope. So I was very impressed with him as a human, as a merchant, and as a quality jeweler. I would say take advantage of all the legwork I did (and we're talking about four days and many many hours of shoppinug around) and save yourself the time and just go to Jeff.

I wanted a sparkly, quality diamond on a reasonable budget. We found the style I wanted. A large stone, semi-antique look, surrounded by little diamonds and diamonds on the band. But the prices offered at the chains had too much of a markup- (we consulted Blue Nile for an acceptable range). Then we found the Diamond Vault. The folks at the Diamond Vault were so helpful. We had three visits before making the final call Each one was relatively low pressure. First we found the right setting. They have fairly good range of settings, but don't have the selection of some of the large chains.What they did have was a unique take on the common setting types. Next we started talking the 4 Cs, they were very knowledgeable. We landed on what we wanted and they sent off for a couple diamonds for our next visit. I noticed some gorgeous necklaces while I was in there for the ring, but I kept my eye on the prize We spent an hour our next visit chatting about the diamonds, looking through the magnifying lens at occlusions, and comparing the colors. I got my every question answered. We were quoted a price and once we did some comparisons were were astonished how great the deal was. The ring took a month or so to be set. They even offered a suggestion to help up save an addition couple hundred. My ring is gorgeous and is well complimented to friends and strangers alike! Whenever we have had to go back for a cleaning, or for insurance docs, they have been happy to see us and more than helpful. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because a little side stone popped out a couple weeks after getting the stone, but they were apologetic and happy to fix it. I would recommend this place wholeheartedly!!
