If you're looking for the ULTIMATE girl dinner, Cask is the spot!!!! 3 of my girlfriends and I came here for their Wednesday "girl dinner" special. It's all night and it is $25 for a martini of choice, caesar or house salad, and truffle or regular fries. I had a dirty martini, caesar salad, and truffle fries. All 3 were delicious and the portion was actually super substantial! This deal is not to be missed and we had such a fun girls night out here. The service was fast but they never rushed us. They include a 20% tip and they made that clear when we were paying, which I really appreciated! I look forward to coming back for another girl dinner Wednesday!

If you're looking for a deal, this is a great option. My friend and I came here for their girl dinner deal on Wednesdays. For $25, you can get a salad, fries and martini. I ordered the cosmo, Caesar salad and truffle fries. The food was good for the price. The service was swift and efficient. The restaurant was decorated with vintage elements like old typewriters which was cool. I'd return if I was in the area and wanted a cost-effective meal!

Came here with some friends for dinner on a Monday and we loved it! They have a bunch of great deals for different days of the week and the food is quality. I got the Lemon Pepper Pasta which was delicious and nicely al dente. It's also a great portion for being only $12.

Such a cute spot and loved their Wednesday girl dinner deal ($25+ tax and tip for your choice of salad, fries, and drink). It does get very loud in there so it's a great place to have casual conversations. The food was good and portioned well. The service was pretty good and a nice atmosphere.

Came here for their Sunday trivia night with some friends, and we had a great time + delicious food and cocktails! We got the lamb nachos and buffalo chicken nachos, which were both so good. They have an amazing brownie+ice cream dessert as well. The interior is spacious and has a chill and comfortable vibe. I'll definitely be back!

Come here on Monday for $12 pastas. They have three different options for Mondays. they Service was pretty quick. The five inside was pretty good. First floor is more of a bar and basement floor is more dining area with a bar.

Solid experience at Cask! I stopped by for some drinks and apps with my friend on a weekday night. It wasn't busy. The bartender was very friendly and funny. I had the Main Squeeze and my friend had the Blood & Spice. My drink was pretty good (especially since it was on the happy hour menu). Not a lot of happy hour spots have actual cocktails so that's a big reason why I chose this spot. For apps we had the Twice Fried Chicken Wings and Buffalo Chicken Dip. They were both veryyy good! I'm a sucker for buffalo chicken dip and I love the chips it came with. They were like chinese chips. I would def come back!

Ah this place really used to be a go-to dinner spot for me back in the day. It's such a cozy and delicious restaurant in Murray Hill. Great food options: lamb nachos, tuna tartar and seafood paella and scallops. I really do miss the paella, probably the best I ever had in the States. I really need to come back for happy hour (4-8pm M-F)... They also have a popular brunch but I think the dinner menu is better than the brunch menu!

Cute little bar/restaurant with rustic decor and reminds me of a ski-lodge vibe. There's kinda two levels - you enter in the bar area where I saw people meeting for after work drinks and you can also eat in the bar area. Up the stairs (just like 6) there's a main dining area, with tables. The bathroom is down a long flight of stairs and it seemed there's another dining area down there, but it looked empty. My friend and I enjoyed our food. The kinda neutral thing was that it was kinda loud. There was loud music playing and then it was just busy, so it raised the noise level. I guess iam old, but it was like 5pm and there's no reason for music to be blasting like that. Call me scrooge. Service was kinda slow. All together, a cute place and I would go again. I figure if you go here, think of it more like a nice bar that serves food, rather than a quiet restaurant.

Made a reservation for Saturday Brunch! Definitely recommend making a reservation since it was packed. They had a DJ. Pretty loud setting. Bottomless brunch drinks for $30. I got a smash burger. Good burger with pickles, caramelized onions, special sauce. Came with nice crispy fries. Service was quick, food came out fast, servers were very nice!

10/06/23: Regular bar decor bit on the cozier side. Tables were more towards the back. Warmly greeted and seated immediately as it wasn't very busy. Drinks Prosecco, Beer, Aperol Spritz, Old Fashion. We all enjoyed. Can't go wrong with a good Prosecco. Food: I had the chicken salad. Salad part ok however the chicken was a bit dry and lacked flavor. It is a good size portion could be a + or - depending. Others had burger and chicken sandwich which they enjoyed. But we all agreed the fries were extremely salty. All in all a decent lunch had by all!

Kinda saw this place walking around and looked like a nice place to get a drink. It was! Other than the slightly slow service. Everything else was great. Loved the outdoor seating so you can people watch. Great drinks menu, and they have some great sounding food. We just got the fries to go with our drinks. The Aperol was a classic, always great choice. I had the Eastsider. Delicious. Gin, lime, ginger and champagne. Great drink for a hot day. The fries were great but I suggest putting them in a different container , you can't get to the bottom ones as the tin was so narrow! The quick glance I got inside looked great too. Nice bar and seating. Loved all the pretty flowers! Great first drink in NYC to kick off my weekend!

A great lowkey dinner spot! We made reservations for 8, but came in early around 6 and they had no problem getting us a seat. Loved the design of the place. It gives off more of a date night vibe or a nice intimate setting. They did have some larger seatings as well for groups though. My friend and I ordered the mussels, fries, two cocktails, the hanger steak, and the seared salmon. Everything was great! The mussels were tender and flavorful, they did have a slight spice to them that might have been a little spicy if you aren't into spice. My hanger steak was a little tough and the chimichurri sauce wasn't as vibrant as I would have liked. But the flavors together went well and ended up being balanced. The seared salmon paired with the lentils were surprisingly good, the lentils added a great creaminess to the dish. We both felt very satisfied and full, so would highly recommend! The total for all this came out to about $125 for the two of us. They also have deals going on throughout the week that can be cute date ideas to check out!

As we had our cocktails we discussed going somewhere else as the vibe was flat. But my husband convinced me to stay as it's already 8:30. We head upstairs to our table, only to be greeted by another less enthusiastic server. He never told us his name or offered up any menu highlights. I was excited to have bone marrow and escargot. Both failed epically. The bone marrow was inedible as it was like cold custard. Escargot had zero flavor and a real lack of garlic and good butter. Tasted more like vegetable oil than good butter. We shared the lobster pasta entree. Tasted more like Mexican goulash. No Italian flavors to be found in the sauce. Never once did the nameless waiter stop and inquire about our meal. Just all around a poor experience and a disappointing Friday night. There are far better places that appreciate your patronage. We will not be coming back. Not worth it.

The host came across as indifferent / borderline rude, which set the tone from the start. During dinner, when our second round of drinks arrived, the server seemed unsure where they belonged~even though the original glasses were still clearly on the table. The food itself was fine. The standout dish was the lamb tartare, which was excellent, and to be fair, everyone's meat was cooked exactly as requested. Overall, it was an okay meal, but based on our experience, it didn't quite match the level of praise suggested by the reviews.

The ambiance feels straight of the golden age, which is an aesthetic I'm certainly a sucker for. Even their robust cocktail menu fits the bill and is one of the prettiest menus I've ever had the joy of perusing. Staff was able to sit us a little bit ahead of our reservation which was also much appreciated. Wait staff was also very helpful and attentive, I don't think I've ever had my water glass so topped off! Starting off with cocktails, this place is a gin bar through and through and you'd be making a mistake if you didn't try one of their many options. I went with the 10,000 words, which you simply just give a spirit of your choice (I picked gin of course) and whether you antes) wanted your drink shaken or stirred and the bartender does the rest, so a bit of a surprise! I wound up with their version of The Last Word which was delightfully citrusy but I was hoping I'd wind up with something a little more adventurous app things considered. My girlfriend got the blackberry G&T, which was not only very pleasing to look at but delicious to boot. For food, we started with splitting some zucchini blossoms and beef cheek bao buns (both come in portions of 3). Both were tasty, but I love a good bao bun and these were so light and pillowy, I could have just went for an order of those for my main course. For the entree I went for the roasted half chicken, perhaps the most unassuming choice on the menu but this was maybe the best roast chicken I've ever had. Prepared perfectly, cooked to perfection, excellent portion size, and the kicker of it all was the stunning gravy that I was tempted to lick my plate for. Chicken is very easy to screw up, and they nailed it on all fronts here. My girlfriend went for the Valerie Signature burger with white cheddar and this thing did not mess around! A very rich patty, cooked to her temperature of choice served alongside some garlic truffle fries that made an American classic feel just a little more elevated. Our experience was delightful and I'd love to comeback here again, especially to check out more of the cocktail menu and soak in more of that golden age aura the place gives.

The bartender knew the drinks inside and out and was able to make some good recommendations. We had the Profunda and two of us had the Imprimatura. Creative, thoughtful, balanced! We also ordered spiced nuts and half a dozen oysters, which were fresh and tender. The bar area was modern and lovely so we were almost reluctant to depart when our table was ready! However, that reluctance dissipated when we entered the bright and airy dining room. It felt like we were eating in a very upscale greenhouse! Great natural light made for a relaxing atmosphere. We opted for the 3-course menu as we had plans to tour the museum afterwards and couldn't fathom doing so after the 8-course tasting menu! We also did the add-on wine pairing. Initially, we were going to order a bottle of wine but the wine list is 150 pages long, and why tie yourself to one varietal? Before the meal even began, we enjoyed 2 amuse bouche offerings; a fish confection and jamon serrano on crackers We started with the eggs on eggs on eggs - completely worth the supplement; unctuous, umamai, decadent. A symphony of flavors and textures. Since there were 3 of us, the server thoughtfully brought out 3 toasts so we could easily share. Before the "real" food started arriving, we were also brought a marble loaf and light, airy butter. Two of us started with the chilled lobster starter; one had the white bean cappelletti. The white beans were the standout! The garlic flavor was a beautiful compliment to the meaty morels without being overpowering, and we were very glad for the marble loaf to soak up the sauce! While the lobster was super fresh and the dish executed perfectly, the lemon was a tad overpowering. The bartender highly recommended the chicken; however, two of us opted for the sea trout and one had the pork. I didn't sample the pork, but the sea trout was velvety and rich, with a beautifully scented saffron broth. To finish, we had the dark chocolate cremeux (complex, adult, DANGEROUS!), the yuzu gelato (fresh and tart!) and the deconstructed carrot cake (cozy and familiar). A note about the wine - Isabelle the sommelier was a true standout! She chose some unusual pairings that worked perfectly with our meals and explained in good detail about each wine and why she selected it. In addition to having a perfect pairing, we also got some good educational enrichment. Isabelle is clearly passionate about wine and her selections and service really added to the meal. The service is consistently excellent. It's one of those restaurants where you feel very well taken care of from start to finish, and the space itself has a lively, polished energy that makes every visit feel like an occasion. The food, for me, is a bit more mixed. There are a few standout touches I really enjoy, especially the butter service and the bagel service, which always feel fun and well done. The French onion soup was memorable the first time I had it, though I've since had an even better version elsewhere that raised the bar for me. Some dishes land better than others. The Caesar salad is fine but not particularly memorable, the pasta dishes are generally okay, and I didn't love the artichoke dish, which felt a bit tough and underwhelming. The mac and cheese also didn't quite hit for me and felt a bit heavy without much payoff. That said, I can absolutely see the appeal of this restaurant--especially the experience, the atmosphere, and the service. My friend particularly loves the fries, which seem to be a consistent favorite. For me, it's a place I enjoy when I'm invited and treated, especially for those little signature touches like the butter service.
