I held a surprise birthday party for my dear friend at the Caspian Restaurant and it was AMAZING! The food, the starters and the entras were made to perfection. The live entertainment announced my friends birthday and our party was so happy. The environment on the patio was clean and the service was on point. We waited for nothing all of our needs were truly met I give the 5 stars X5. We just moved into the area and recently discussed the need for a "go to" place for drinks and food. This is hands down the best place I've ever been to for lunch. The happy hour is 11:30-3pm and the lunch specials are full on meals that are served for dinner at a discounted price. The food is amazing. Jaime is the best waiter, get him if you can. Wow. We had been to the other location in North OC. This place is beautiful. Best service I've had in a long time. Food is pricy, but portions are large enough to share and the food is delicious! Live music on Saturday night and rumor is belly dancers will be coming soon. Cutest little dessert for the kids that they are still talking about 5 days later! Great job Caspian! Caspian's was amazing! I came with a group of 12, and we were able to to get seated right away. Our drink order was taken right away, and soon after so was our food order. Some meals are a little pricey, but a majority of them are reasonable and SO DELICIOUS. Everything from the appetizers, to the entrees, to the desserts was yummy, and I wish i lived here in california so that i could come back soon. Our server was nice and attentive, the owner came by and asked us how everything was. Bathrooms were clean. read more

Hubs and I decided to go for dinner that evening and I looked up restaurants close by to see what was available and Caspian had 6:15, 6:30,6:45, 7:00 pm etc etc all the way till close every 15 minutes open. We booked a certain time around 7:30 pm and went in few minutes early. It was super crowded and people were waiting everywhere like they were all just walking in without making reservations. Someone came up to us and said oh sorry there are no tables inside so you'll have to sit on the outside patio and you will have to wait for those tables as well. She then said well you only made the reservation at 530 this evening so you have to wait. I tried to explain that we made it at 530 but we made it FOR 7:30 but she kept repeating that we made it at 5:30, refused to listen to my side and was extremely rude. She then asked so do you want to wait or leave? Due to her rudeness I said we would leave and she shrugged and said okay, thank you! No apologies! Terrible place tricking people in to get some business! Im reading similar reviews as mine on here. Please DO not go here. There are better Persian restaurants in the area with much better customer service. I hear these are new owners and not the old Caspian owners from Irvine. I doubt they'll last long!! read more

We had a very nice experience recently at Caspian Mediterranean Kitchen. It was a warm summer evening so we sat outside on the patio and enjoyed listening to the violin player as we sipped our cocktails. The hummus and yogurt with cucumber dips were delicious and the pita break tasted fresh and homemade. My husband ordered the lamb kebobs and my daughter the chicken kebobs - also delicious. I really enjoyed the Shirazi Salad which was light and refreshing. The service was also excellent. read more

Absolutely disappointed with the way they handled our reservations. Called two weeks ahead to reserve. They said they are busy and to call the night before to make the payment. Came to find out that only those that made payments had their tables reserved in the front. They gave us a table in the front, but behind the wall!!! Oh man, this was a complete surprise. We had a fun little morning of Christmas shopping and thought we would try lunch here because we've driven by so many times. It was so clean and nice inside that we were really happy when we walked in. The menu was very complete, we started with a baba ghanouj, it was outstanding, and they brought extra pita bread. I had the vegetable kebab, and the rice was amazing. My girlfriend had the red lentil soup and chicken kebab and she really loved hers as well. We didn't have any cocktails at lunch and we got out for $50, this is a very great stop For a classy date or a fun treat. read more

I wish I could give this place a better rating, but it's not possible. They failed. The building itself is great, but the food is disappointing--poor quality, below standard, and pricey. Adding to that, the music was loud and annoying. When I requested to have it turned down, I was told it was controlled by the office and couldn't be adjusted. I wanted to walk out, but since I was taking a friend out for their birthday, I stayed. Unfortunately, it wasn't a pleasant experience never going back, wish them well. read more

Was so looking forward to dinner at Caspian. Frequent patron at their Irvine location when we lived in Irvine in the late 1980's. Started out great, until it took over 45 minutes for our entree. People who arrived much later (we had finished our appetizer and salad) were served before us. I even asked our Server if she had forgotten us, and she said the kitchen is slow.. really when the next thing she does is serve the table next to us and another table of the late comers. We finally get our entrees and I ask for Tatziki, and I am informed she's going to comp it! Really a tiny little container of cumber and yoghurt. Food was good but the total lack of apology in any form, is pathetic.. not even a $6 appetizer.. nothing! A 45 minute wait and they do nothing to make up for it. I will likely not return. There are a ton of Persian/Mediterranean restaurants in and around OC and I'd rather patronize them, then a Management that fails to make amends or apologize. read more

We try the new Caspian Resturant but we didn't get the same vibe as old Caspian Resturant, food was okay and service was good It's Mediterranean fusion food but music is Spanish and atmosphere it's confusing and cold. read more

The ghaimeh bademjoon looked good but not the taste so much! I'm writing this so the cook can read it and fix the issue. The oil they use in the rice for tahdigh smells not like nice buttery taste but animal fat or some kind of concentrated fat that leaves an oily film I. Your mouth. And the bademjoon ( eggplant) needs to in the khoresht to to get soften and pickup the flavores of the khoresht. What I got was khoresht lapeh ( yellow split pea) with boiled eggplant on top which did not taste good at all. I was very disappointed. Hopefully the chef will fix the issue. read more

Two sphinxes greet visitors at the door, but their allusion to the past belies a more modern, clean interior. The place is decorated beautifully for the holidays, with a Christmas tree replete with presents underneath it, just as sparkling as the lights and the wait staff's smiles. Seriously. Every server was so pleasant and attentive. Oh, and you must bring your appetite because the food is not only delicious, but the portions are generous. We ordered the chicken kebab and the beef kebab. I could have used a wheelbarrow in which to be carried out after our meal. I couldn't help myself. The walnut dressing pairs so well with the meat and the rice. I forgot to mention that the bread basket with tzatziki sauce is also delicious. It comes out warm and smelling like comfort. On the way out, I noticed a stage with a guitar, microphone, and chairs, promising live music, undoubtedly on weekend nights. I made a mental note to go back sometime for date night with my wife. Cutting to the chase, you won't be disappointed. read more
