I came here for the first time and enjoyed it so much I joined. I really enjoyed the Rockin One Blanc, the Grenache, the Mourvedre and my favorite was the Damas Noir. The food was delicious as well. I highly suggest the Sesame Crusted Ahi Salad. There is a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. The ambiance is nice. The service was great! There are so many activities to do such as horseback riding, archery and riding bikes. I'm excited to come back in the near future. read more

In our search for Rhone style wines in Paso we came across Cass. Our host, Philly was very friendly and knowledgable about the wines. We enjoyed everything we tasted but were really drawn to the 2019 Grenache, 2019 Mourvedre and the 2018 Reserve. We went back to a couple to revisit and Philly came along and poured me a splash of the 2018 Damas Noir just to make the choice even harder. Darn you Philly! They have a cafe here also which I hear is good but we had lunch reservations in town so did not eat while we were here. If you like good wines and friendly people, then Cass is for you. read more

Everyone we met was so nice and so amazing. We loved all of the food throughout the night (Chef Charlie knows how to work his magic) and all of the wine (Sterling is an amazing wine maker) The property is also so beautiful with vineyards and the rolling hills behind it (you can even book a stay in their property). There's not too many wineries that have kitchens it seems. And the ones I saw were pretty pricey. We found this one and thought we'd try it out today. It was perfect! I wasn't looking for hoity-toity food like octopus or muscles, I just wanted a choice of salads, sandwiches and burgers. That's exactly what they offer here at Cass. I got their Blast sandwich which is basically a BLT and avocado. It comes with house potato chips - which were amazing!! It was a perfect choice for a hot day. Hubby got the Chicken Caprese sandwich with their House Salad. He loved his as much as I loved mine. Perfect choice for a warm day! I'm not too much into wine (weird, I know), but I love the winery atmosphere. My hubby got a tasting along with his lunch. Throughout the entire time we were eating and ordering they would bring samples to our table. I think there were six different wines. It was a nice way to taste. They were good wines too. If you ended up purchasing two bottles you get your tasting for free. The atmosphere is so kick-back here. You could be dressed up or wear flip-flops and shorts (I saw both). It was upwards of 90° today, but you couldn't feel it on their outdoor patio. It was beautifully cool in the shade and had a calm breeze whisking by. I could have stayed there all day! Cass came highly recommended by folks in a wine fanatics group and I can see why! We haven't visited many wineries on the side of Paso Cass is in, but the drive was easy and scenic. Very easy to find. Food: This was our lunch stop. We ordered the wild boar sausage board, chips, figgy piggy pizza, scallops and the tenderloin. All were delicious. We were pleasantly surprised with the presentation, freshness and flavor. Lots of other options we want to try on our next trip. Service: Started off great, but a loud, large group came in which slowed down the end of our experience. We had to close out quick and place a bottle order to go as we were coming up to 2 hours there and had another tasting down the road. Our pourer was super nice though brought another taste out not on the menu while we waited for her to come back. Ambiance: Loved the on site Tesla charging. The charging level is slow, but always a nice amenity. We loved the outdoor space where we could sit in the sun, but then have an umbrella opened when it warmed up. Love seeing the vines (can't wait to go back when in season) and being able to stretch with a walk around their small garden. Bonus points for how dog friendly Cass is. I had the opportunity to stay at the Geneseo Inn for 2 night at Cass Winery and it was one of the greatest experience I've had staying at an Inn! There are firepits, hammocks (not available at the moment), wineries, and seatings around your stay with the most spectacular view. I got to stay in the room "Changes" and the architecture from the room inside and out were aesthetically designed and pleasing to look at. Everyone in the office was so nice and greeted us when we first arrived and helped us check-in into our room. It was fun! they had plenty of activities at the vineyard, which I didn't have enough time to do, but I was able to go horseback riding with Central Coast Trail Rides for the first time with my s/o! The vineyard was bigger than I expected because it consisted of 145 acres of land! Crystal is a wonderful instructor who kept us well informed and fun throughout the ride. When we arrived early to sign some forms, they have a pet baby goat and 2 cute dogs that occupied us while we waited for others! Additionally, Cass Winery has a wide selection of wine and a nice ambiance to enjoy a glass and eat. Their gelato was also one of the best gelatos I've had in a while. If I had the opportunity to book in the future, I would definitely come back and do some archery and learn bee keeping! read more

We checked out Cass Winery for the first time and the food is mind-blowingly good! We had lunch and wine-tasting at the same time but all I could remember was how good the food is which overwrites our wine-tasting experience. The pizza is cooked right outside with a huge pizza oven. And the crab cakes? Probably the best I've ever had. The patio area is really nice, and they've got a huge instagrammable shot under a huge big tree just next to the chickens and ducks pen which adds to the vibe. Great spot for amazing food, great wine, and some cute farm animals. read more

Many places usually require reservations, but this place has plenty of open reservation spots and I'm sure they would accommodate walk-ins as well. We were looking for a place that served food. The workers are incredibly kind. Unfortunately the wines were out of our price range. The tasting cost $25 per person. Most places will waive the fee with wine purchase, but the starting cost of wine is upwards $50 per bottle and I had no idea considering the previous tasting we went to had wines ranging from $15-$40. So you either pay $25 for the tasting or around $50 for at least 1 bottle of wine. The food was great! They have a pizza oven outdoors. The Hawaiian pizza was delicious and the Benny burger paired perfectly with the red wines. There's a cute little area to view the chickens and ducks. read more

This place is pretty poppin. We went to this winery recently before things started getting real crazy again with covid. We didn't have reservations but they were able to fit us in. When you walk in and sit at a table, it almost feels like you are at an airplane hangar. It's pretty awesome. The wines were solid. They didn't blow me away but they were definitely good. What really blew me away was the food. I got the Designer Burger and it was quite tasty. However if you are a Blue Cheese aficionado, you are going to want to get that Benny Burger. I don't like that stuff but I respect the game. This is a fancy burger but super worth it. You get the boldness of the cheese with the saltiness of the bacon. But yet it still is fresh and fun with the arugula. Let's not forget that Horseradish Aioli though. Cass Winery is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. read more

It was cold and coming from Justin winery the day before, service and food wasn't quite the same (although I did just get a pizza here so I won't knock them more than 1 star as the server was nice and so was the wine). If you're staying at Geneseo Inn - make sure to let your server know as they will apply 20% off. And if you're visiting in Feb it's pretty cold (coming from LA). Dress warm as they don't service the heater tanks right away. They gave me 2 blankets instead and decided it was time to change the tank as I was leaving. read more

My 3 star review is due to the bad service and the wine that we did not enjoy. Our server didn't come back to give us our check and I had to go inside to the counter to pay. Cass was the next winery on our list driving through the area. We got a table inside for lunch and shared a tasting. $20 tasting menu for 6 wines. I loved the viognier! What a delicious wine! It's more creamy and full-bodied, a nice white for red wine drinkers. The soup special was a beet soup, which more reminded me of a beet salsa? The spices it had and the texture was definitely reminiscent of a salsa, next time maybe serve it cold and with a side of chips. We split the crab cake salad and Benny burger. The burger was superb! Perfectly cooked, juicy patty (estate-raised, grass-fed beef too!). horseradish aioli, pickled onion and arugula. I did have the blue cheese on the side, but that's just my preference. We ordered the crab cake salad after reading a bunch of yelp reviews mentioning it. It comes with two hearty crab cakes atop a fresh bed of greens. The house-made remoulade to dip with was sooo good. I was dipping the burger and the parm chips in that sauce. Our Airbnb host that evening asked us where we had ventured to that day and we said Cass among others. Her eyes went wide and raved that all the locals love executive chef Charlie Paladin Wayne from his catering and we made a great choice eating there for lunch. We will definitely be back next time during a weekend trip to Paso! read more

The ahi and salmon salad were around $20 each and worth the price! Very refreshing and delicious. They had two wine tasting options, one for $20 and another for $30. My partner and I each chose one and most of the wines were really good. Ended up getting two bottles of Roussanne, which waived one of the tasting. Had a short but sweet visit to this beautiful winery. We had a reservation for 3:30 but ended up arriving late after making the wrong turn towards Geneseo Inn instead of driving straight towards their tasting room. After explaining our mishap, our host immediately offered us glasses of their Roussanne on the house. This was such a sweet gesture and truly made our day (I wish we got your name!). The Roussanne and Viognier were delightful and refreshing to have as it was such a hot and sunny day.
