Yikes. My first visit at this location, the guy gave me the wrong drink, and when I corrected him, he gave me another wrong drink, with a side of attitude. Maybe it was an off morning. Second visit... they weren't even open. Hours say they open at 6AM, and I was in the area dropping someone off at the airport nearby. I stopped by around 6:10AM. Wasn't open. I understand it's early so whoever was opening may be late. Stuck around for about 15 minutes to see if someone would be opening, but nobody came. I sent a DM on instagram asking if they could confirm the hours because I was there and it wasn't open... I was left on read. Super disappointed. I love the original location on Del Amo, and I've been to that one several times; I am obsessed with the bagel bombs and passion 4-2-1. LBX is much closer to me but I guess I'll just have to start driving a little further to their Del Amo location because this one is the worst. read more

Their other locations are a bit better than this place bc I don't think they make their bagels fresh at this location. They're still fresh though. This location has wine here!!!! And mimosas. So that's a plus. I think I like the other two locations by the 605 and off Atlantic because their bagels are fresher there and there is consistency between how much cream cheese is put on the bagels at those locations. It's a little inconsistent here. I know they just opened another location up on Spring also. Cassidy's corner has been on my places to try list for a while now and I finally got the chance at the hangar in LB! Overall I thought their bagels are decent and extremely soft. They don't have the typical chewy texture as a bagel and its more like a bread. I can see why people enjoy them so much but I personally would much rather have a 'normal' texture of a bagel. I got the Joe's special that comes with jalapeño cream cheese, egg, and bacon. I never really had cream cheese in a breakfast sandwich but it tasted well together, especially with the addition of jalapeños and lemon pepper. The sandwich was close to $10 and was a pretty big/decent size. The staff was very friendly and helpful when I was contemplating on what to get and they were quick with my order as well. If you are looking for a grab and go meal I recommend checking out Cassidy's corner or any of their other locations! read more

I've always admired Cassidy's Corner Cafe because of their corporate citizenship, but I can't say the same about the food, or at least the bagel sandwich I tried. Cassidy's flagship location is in Lakewood not too far from this location at The Hangar at Long Beach Exchange (LBX). I don't remember when they opened at The Plaza at Gordon Ranch, but this location at the head of the food hall opened not too long ago, replacing what was once Portola Coffee Roasters. A couple co-workers and I decided to go to The Hangar for lunch one day because, like I said, The Hangar is a food hall, and there were plenty of options out there for the undecided like yours truly. Actually, I wanted to see if nearby Ike's Sandwiches, which is replacing Bite Mi, had opened yet, and I thought they were about to open until they closed their stall. What disappointment, but there's always next time! After taking a lap around, one of my co-workers decided to get a bowl from Marinate Korean BBQ while the other got a Joe's Special sandwich and a latte from Cassidy's. The Joe's Special is actually a breakfast sandwich, but since it was lunchtime, I wanted a lunch sandwich. But which one? Not only that, but I was wondering what a Cass-uccino was? I asked the cashier, who then deferred to the barista, who then explained it was nothing more than a cappuccino. The Cass was just a pun lol. And yet the cashier didn't know this? Interesting... After perusing the rest of the menu, I decided to defer the coffee for a later time, and I simply went with the Tuna Melt. The Roast Beef Melt also sounded pretty tasty, but it had all but two of the same ingredients as the Tuna Melt. However, the Roast Beef Melt was $1 more. The other choices for a hot sandwich were Bee Bee Que, Grilled Chicken Ranch, and the Maddy. If we were in the San Fernando Valley (SFV), I certainly would have given much thought about the sando named after their local community manager, but alas, since we were in the Long Beach chapter, I settled for the tuna. The cashier then asked me for my choice of bagel, which you can see all the choices inside their transparent order counter. I only had but a brief glimpse at first as I didn't even know those bagels were used for their sandwiches, and they had quite a lot! The sourdough caught my attention first as I had never heard of a sourdough bagel before. As tasty as it sounded, it looked a little meh, but the garlic caught my attention. Tuna Melt on a garlic bagel sounded like a winning combo, so I went with the garlic. I asked the cashier how long I'd have to wait, and she estimated about 10 minutes while handing me buzzer #23. Why am I mentioning the buzzer number? First, my co-worker, who ordered immediately before I did, was given #2. I thought he would have been given #22 instead. Second, when my buzzer sounded about 3 minutes after he picked up his sandwich, I handed an employee my buzzer, and she gave me a bag with a #27 on it! I asked her if that was really my sandwich since it had a different number on it, and she assured me it was. Taking into account all this, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if any other customer was given the wrong order. Luckily, I wasn't given the wrong order, but maybe I was given the wrong sandwich? Because while I enjoyed the Tuna Melt sandwich, which is supposed to be a hot sandwich, it wasn't anywhere close to hot as I was expecting. I was thinking pipin' hot like a Jersey Mike's Big Kahuna Cheesesteak, but this was nowhere close! It was borderline lukewarm, and while I did enjoy the sandwich, it was really only to a limited extent. Had it been hot hot hot, to quote Buster Poindexter, it would have been way better. Why call it a hot sandwich if it was nowhere close to hot? Both of our bagel sandwiches were cut in half. The Joe's Special was thoroughly cut all the way, but my Tuna Melt wasn't. My co-worker let me take a photo of his Joe's Special, which did look good, but I doubt I would have liked it better considering his sandwich was about $3 to $4 cheaper than mine. We sat at a couple small tables outside the food hall, but both of the tables were pretty wobbly. Obviously, not on Cassidy's, but just be mindful if you plan to dine at The Hangar. Service was good, but far from extraordinary. While the cashier was pleasant to converse with, she had trouble retrieving my receipt from the register that she needed help from someone else. It took a couple of minutes before she was able to hand me my receipt. Hopefully she has utilized this as a training opportunity and not made customers after me wait this long just for a paper receipt. While I still believe Cassidy's has potential for success inside The Hangar, this visit was unfortunately a miss for me. I'm still more than willing to give them another try, but it will likely be at a different location. I hope they don't suffer the same fate that Portola did, but perhaps they are a better choice for breakfast rather than lunch. read more

Man, we used to have Portola coffee at LBX and now we have this mid chain. This is basically like the low budget Starbucks of Long Beach. The quality is super basic. For example, if you order tea, you're gonna be met with some low-grade crap like stash or Bigelow. If you want good coffee and food, go to Coffee Parlor or Nonna Mercato or Gusto. read more

Wish I could give this place 3.5 stars, but 4 is just too high. I've been here multiple times, and the best way I can describe the experience is frustrating. The food and drinks are delicious, no doubt. But when it comes to price, timing, and service, they're really lacking. Even when it's not busy, a coffee and basic bagel will regularly take 20 minutes. And the times I've had great service stand out because they are by far the exception and not the rule. I get that the location is expensive, so I can understand that their product is pricier than other options. But literally if they were fast or have amazing service, then I wouldn't have a bad word to say about them. If you're in the area and don't mind waiting, this is a fantastic option. But there are also other Cassidy's locations that are just as good with far better service. read more

Cassidy's is always a good idea! I went to their other Long Beach location before I knew there was this location closer to me. Today I ordered the Joe's special and a vanilla latte. Their coffee is smooth and not too sweet. Customer service is always friendly and you get a buzzer that notifies you when your order is ready, so you can take a walk around the hangar as you wait. As for the sandwich, I love how the lemon pepper elevates the flavor of a BEC. They also offer a wide variety of bagels, my only wish is that they offered poppy seed! read more

Monday morning around 9:15, I ordered a "Cronut" with egg, bacon, and cheese. I asked for a croissant instead of the cronut which is too sweet. While ordering, the cashier kept asking me to repeat what I was saying, which I did. I thought maybe it was too noisy for her behind the counter. After I went back to my car, I opened the pkg and saw a cronut sandwich. It was sticky, goopy, sugary and looked like it would fall apart, which it did when I picked it up to take a bite. All over my sweatshirt. I would have taken it back but I had recently had foot surgery and it was too much to walk again to the Hangar and I had another errand to run. I finished the sandwich because I was hungry, but the high sugar content knocked my blood sugar way up. Please train your workers better. Perhaps have them repeat the order to the customer. Also, whomever made the sandwich needs more training. It was a mess. read more

Staff was friendly enough and there's some indoor seating but most of it is outside (both sunny and shady options though). We totally recommend this spot for a delicious breakfast. For coffee, we went for a hot Spanish Latte with oatmilk. The barista will ask you how many espresso shots to put in your coffee, so if you like your drink strong, feel free to add as much as you need. Since this location is known for their food rather than their coffee, the drink was decent. If you plan to enjoy a bagel, the spanish latte is their best option for coffee. Cassidy's Corner Cafe is located inside the Long Beach Hangar (LBX) and the first place you'll see when you walk inside! The bagels here are INCREDIBLE--fluffy, thick, and I'm not kidding, better than anything I've found in NYC (and I just took a trip there!) Their breakfast and lunch sandwiches are fantastic. There were tons of people ordering the pizza bagels so I was curious -- and now I totally get the hype. The standout for me though is their amazing garlic spread. It added such a rich, savory note to every sandwich. I could literally eat a plain bagel with just that spread on it and be thrilled! Cassidy's does drinks. Coffee was delicious, as was the fresh squeezed orange juice. You can totally tell when it's not from carton--this was so tasty! And I highly recommend getting the ice blended lemonade. It was so creamy and sweet, topped with whipped cream! I haven't had anything like that before. Also was super surprised to see they also serve Bloody Mary's. One of my favorite things to do is stop by CASSIDY'S CORNER CAFE to grab a coffee after my cycling class next door. The 4-2-1 is absolutely delicious but since I've been trying to be better with my sugar intake, I've been gravitating toward their iced Hawaiian hazelnut coffee. So good! Service is great and quick. Staff is friendly. I've never tried their food, but their bagel sandwiches look absolutely delicious. I'll have to try a sandwich one of these days. I stopped by Cassidy's Corner Cafe' at the LBX this morning. Cassidy's seems to specialize in fresh bagels . Their location is just inside the main entrance. They have a nice long counter, with a big assortment of bagel choices. I ordered a toasted Asiago Bagel with butter and a large Colombian coffee. I am very sorry to say that both were disappointing . The bagel was fresh and chewy, but it was hardly toasted at all. It seemed more like it had simply been warmed up a bit. Toasted, to me, implies a crispy surface on the bagel. The coffee was also a disappointment...it almost tasted flavored and it left a bitter aftertaste. I inquired if the bagels were baked fresh at this location. The server indicated that they are not, "they are made at a factory somewhere". Wow, not the anticipated answer. The counter girl seemed disinterested and low on energy. It took overly long to prepare the bagel and she was not at all friendly. This was at 9:00 in the morning, no other customers present. The napkin dispenser was empty, as was the cream container. If I could give them a zero I would. They messed up on 2 simple drink orders and could not even remake what we actually ordered. The strawberry lemonade was extremely sour--we ordered it as the slushy but they gave it over ice. And the coffee was not what I ordered. The employees seemed to mess up on the 3 orders ahead of mine also. Maybe they need to be trained a little better. When we told the guy/kid he had major attitude... This location is the worst we have been to. The location on del amo and studebaker is 100 times better. We wasted more than $10 on drinks and threw them away they were so awful. This is the worst latte (wwwooooorrsssttttt) I have ever had. First, I ordered a single horchata latte. That's the equivalent of a 12oz from Starbucks. And it was $7.55 WITHOUT TIP. Now I am by no means a latte connesiour nor am I that picky. I mean I've had Starbucks made by trainees on their first days that tasted better than this and that's saying something. I was sad Portola shut down their location here cause I never got the chance to try it. But happy Cassidy's Corner took over their spot. I came during their soft opening in the morning on a weekend and the parking lot was a little full with people going to the many fitness businesses around the hangar. The Hangar was pretty quiet around this time since there's only two food vendors opened. I ordered the Joe's special which had bacon, egg, and cheese and it was delicious. Came here for brekky before my flight at LGB which is super close by. We ordered Joe's Special, The Lox, Signature 4-2-1 Coffee, and Fresh Squeezed OJ. Joe's Special on Garlic Bagel: 2/5 I love jalapeño cream cheese and was really excited for this, but there was hardly any cream cheese!! Barely any filling too! Look at the ratio. The only redeeming quality was the Garlic Bagel, but I didn't end up finishing my half because it got too bread-y. They should rename this Average Joe. The Lox on Egg Bagel: 3.5/5 This was better. You can actually see the cream cheese on this one LOL! But again, stingy with the lox. It kinda looks like they put a lot but if you look close, that's actually tomatoes.
