What a hidden gem! We had a wonderful experience here. It seems like a very "locals" type place, which I loved. Everything we ordered was cooked to order. Huge portions, affordable prices, and you could tell the food was cooked by someone who cared! Our waitress was super awesome, and the restaurant was very clean. Huge space, but not many people dining when we were there.

stopped in on our way home from the cape may ferry for a late lunch/early dinner. service took a few minutes longer than anticipated since there were not too many tables full at the time, but i had my patient pants on so that was not really too bad? the food however was just meh. chicken caesar wrap was fine, literally just unseasoned chicken, dressing, and lettuce. fried shrimp sandwich had no little aioli or mayo or anything so it was pretty dry and also just like fine? nothing really to write home about. tbh wish we had gotten breakfast for dinner or something from here instead bc the reviews are saying the breakfast is where its at, so hope the best for this business but not sure if we will return.

This place hit all the marks for a down to earth breakfast/brunch spot. It was great to stop by and get all the breakfast classics. Loved that they had so many options to add on as sides! It was great since I tend to want a little of everything sometimes. Portions were very generous and prices were great! The interior is very homey and the staff was attentive and kind.

Best breakfast around I would definitely continue to come back here for breakfast lunch and dinner. Good prices and lots of food so worth it. Early bird specials for breakfast and dinner check it out.

Family atmosphere , The staff are fantastic . The food and prices and fantastic. You always go home with a box . I don't know how they can make money with the amount of food they give you but most importantly it is so delicious . I have told so many people even on Facebook and they all say WOW you are so right . Wish one thing . To make a senior menu because since this is a shore area sometimes you don't want to take leftovers home . Hours and parking are great . Way to go Castaways

Came in with a party of 9 including 2 babies. They put is in the back dinning room, perfect spot. Service was fast and friendly. I had the crab wrap which was delicious! Came with a side of redskin potatoes that were outstanding. My daughter had the Castaway waffle that was loaded with fruit: bananas, blueberries, strawberries and grapes. It was delicious. Wife had the cream cheese French toast that was also delicious. Glad we visited!

Came in late last night for our mini weekend trip and to our surprise the restaurant said they close at 8pm but allowed us to come in to eat. We showed up @730pm. Staff were friendly like always and the server did a great job getting refills and bringing us utensils and things we needed. My party of 4 got a mix of different items. I opted for the blt with fries, my sister got the crab cake sandwich with fries and my daughter got a cheese steak with fries. We ended up getting a slice of carrot cake and cheese cake. All the food was so hot, fresh and tasty. Food is always on point here and always so fresh. Definitely our go to spot when down here.

This place was very nice. We had a group of 4 adults & 5 kids. They sat us in a. Quiet area that we had to our selves. The waitress was very attentive and nice! The food was cheap and very good ! When I'm in the area again I will come again!

Great little breakfast / lunch spot for a classic diner experience. Friendly servers and standard diner breakfast and lunch selections. Bottomless coffee and good breakfast selections. Tried the eggs and the omelettes, and the pancakes. All were good. No frills but perfect for a diner type meal.

Huge portions and the food and service were great! We had a party of 9 - plenty of space for us all. . Seated quickly! Celebrating the 6th birthday of my neighbor's grandchild . Very family friendly! Such a nice time. Would go again for sure!

Always a great meal when we come here! This time around I got the crab melt with shrimp salad and it definitely exceeded my expectations! The crab was so delicious and harmonized with the melty cheese.

The food overall is pretty decent too! I've been here a few times so far and I've liked most of what I ate. To get it out of the way, there are two duds: the Nashville Chicken and the Truffle Potato Wedges. The Nashville Chicken is cooked well but was boring and lacked any flavor (did they forget the sauce when I tried it?). The truffle potato wedges are a little more interesting but it was such a small portion that it's almost pointless to get it. Fortunately, the rest of the food is much better. The dinner menu is a stronger showing. We loved the French Onion Soup, the turkey pot pie, the kielbasa sandwich, and the blueberry cobbler all knock it out of the park. They're all cooked perfectly, portioned well, and have strong flavors. I can wholly recommend all those dishes. I can definitely recommend coming here for dinner. It's a very well run restaurant with good food.

A lovely greeting on entrance. My wife and I used to work at an iconic eatery in phila called Taylor's country store and both of us looked at each other and said we get the same vibes. The decorations were just what you'd hope for in an eclectic little restaurant. Located on the edge of the villas maybe 15 mins from wildwood and cape May if you're visiting down the beach or shore don't sleep on this place. Now for the food we were looking for lunch we have our go to spots but wanted to change it up and I'm so glad my wife chose TBD. Has a great menu with something for everyone. I got a hot roast beef because it's one of my favorites. Side of fries hand cut. First the sandwich was everything I had hoped for I go a couple Roast beef sand places but this has shot to the top. Gravy on the side is how it came and it was just what the sand was meant for ciabatta roll soaked it up perfectly, no prob I'm not a fan of the disintegrating gravy sand I like to control the gravy. Roast beef was thick but not out of control thick, didn't need sharks teeth to bite through it. And not any gristle which definitely mattersHorseradish on the side a little bite not your make your nose run hot but hot enough. Hand cut fries delicious crispy hot and a perfect pairing to dip in the gravy. The pickle was exactly how you want a deli pickle to be crunchy fresh and sharp flavored w real dill I will say it again perfect . My wife had the burger it was huge tasty I know because I had half the right amount of everything. She chose the fresh homemade chips they were marvelous too I know because I grudgingly gave up a few fries to have some chips. It was big enough she said she would be skipping dinner. Anyway it's the kind of place you leave saying I can't wait to go back and try the other choices because you know they will all be made with culinary care and taste great. Don't step nod or miss this place. Being on weight watchers I know I'm gonna regret finding it, but you shouldn't it's on rt 47 the sign w the two black dogs sorry no pics of the food but I was hungry and scarfed it down before thinking

There weren't many people sitting down to grab dinner on a Saturday night. We did notice there were several people stopping by to pick up their delivery orders. They all seemed to be locals. There are several cats laying around outside. I stopped by and ordered the shrimp po'boy since they ran out of oysters. They said the order will be ready in 45 minutes, which is a bit long for rush hour (dinner service) on a Saturday night. The waiter mentioned there were 2 orders in front of me. That says a lot. Not a lot of kitchen staff basically. Maybe it's a one man show inside. They actually were done within 30 minutes. The food came out fine. It was filling. Nothing mind blowing. The shrimp was fine. The fries were delicious. Maybe the sandwich seemed dry. Price wise - it was reasonable. They only take cash so make sure you have cash handy. Would this be my go to spot? Hard to say because it takes a while, but it's okay if you plan ahead.

The bartender catered to the locals and had her little chitchat going. Do you restaurant owners not realize that there are people coming in and out of town at all times and on various days and we may work in service industries and maybe even the restaurants/hospitality industry I ordered whatever the burger is with the Gorgonzola cheese and it wasn't bad but it wasn't great. Between the burger the bun the tomato and the onion was hard to get your mouth around but it wasn't really worth it to stretch your mouth that far. You had a choice of fries or salad and I chose the fries. In all honesty I've been in Cape May for a week now and have eaten out nearly every day and had some outstanding fries and I would swear these were yesterday's fries if not yesterday's fries from somebody else's plate. I asked the bartender if these were the normal presentation of the fries she said "oh yes they're hand cut fries" my question would be hand cut when and fried when? They were overdone and mushy. . And after exchange the bartender adopted a pissy attitude. Here's my thing to the managers/owners of this establishment: I have worked in various forms in hospitality and customer service. I'm also an older person, consumer, frequent visitor of restaurants and bars. Take this however you will. It's a Tuesday afternoon... The servers and the service and the food should be exactly the fucking same as it is on Friday and Saturday night. Feel free to contact me if I said anything out of line. PS I'm an interim innkeeper in Cape May and I will definitely be steering people away from your restaurant even though I've had decent experiences in the past. There's too much competition out there for too few dollars. Smarten up
