Other than the music being a bit too loud, the meal & service was excellent! Waiter was very friendly & personable. The food & drinks were excellent. Loved the margarita flights! We got the paella for 4. Came with 7 tapas dishes, a charcuterie, cheesecake & crazy good churros. Loved trying all the different foods. Will be going back soon!

I had no idea what to expect tonight. I knew this restaurant, The Castle, my entire life. Way back then, my parents couldn't afford to bring us there so I had no idea what to expect. Now it's a a Spanish restaurant, in a Castle, in Leicester. And now I know- and it's worth the drive!!!!! Definitely will be back and HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!!!! Great drinks, excellent food, and a lovely ambiance!!!! I could see lights on the patio overlooking the water!!! My husband and I want to come back to eat out there this Spring- with family and friends!!!! Grab your friends and family, order the spicy margaritas and let your taste buds be amazed!!!! The Spanish soup was AMAZING, highly recommend!!!!

We arrived for dinner and were seated in a matter of minutes. Our total order included several specialty drinks, empanada tapas, salmon, & trio fajitas. We ate in the dining room. The room, as one would expect because of the design, was very echo-y. This wouldn't have been too bad, but the music they had on, which was good, was far too loud. We were nervous when we a musician (guitarist) came in and set up because most seem to believe that volume = good. We were pleasantly surprised that he played and sang at a reasonable volume. He was good. It took quite some time for our drinks to be ordered... then delivered. By time our tapas (appetizers) arrived, we had already seen a few couples come in, eat, & leave. Our service was painfully slow. The beef empanadas were delicious and couldn't have been better. After another (ridiculous) wait, our main course was served. The salmon was delicious and cooked to perfection. However, the mashed potatoes & asparagus sides on the same plate, while tasty, were cold all the way through. The fajita fixings were served on what was supposed to have been a sizzling dish, but it was luke warm, at best. The shrimp was cooked to perfection and perfectly hot. Served on a separate plate were the rice and beans, both of which were steaming hot and flavorful. In summary: The drinks were all great, mixed properly, and well balanced. The food, while delicious, was not portioned onto the plates together at the time of serving, so the temperatures were mostly inappropriate. The staff was all quite friendly, but our service was painfully slow.

The ambiance was cozy and inviting, though our table was in the middle of the aisle which felt a bit cramped. Unfortunately, the service itself was inconsistent. We had to ask for bread three times. When we ordered two brownies and one coffee, we were brought one brownie and two coffees. At the end of the meal, we asked for both my meal and my son's meal to be wrapped to go. My son's plate was accidentally thrown away because other plates were stacked on top of it. When I asked about it, the server explained what happened but did not offer to remake it, remove it from the bill, or apologize, which was disappointing. That said, it was a busy Friday during Restaurant Week, so I would consider coming back and hope the service is smoother next time. While writing this review, I actually received a text from the restaurant letting me know we left our son's plate behind, which was thoughtful and appreciated. If Yelp allowed half stars, I would give 3.5.

Thank goodness for takeout boxes. My favorite plate was the QUESO DE CABRA CON MIEL (goat cheese with honey) served with crusty bread. We paired it with the CHORIZO LEÓN HERRADURA. It was just perfect together. Dessert was worth mentioning. The warm double chocolate brownie with ice cream is a definite yes please. So rich, so gooey, so worth the calories. Bocado is a tapas restaurant, but I found these small plates quite generous. Roll me home I'm done!

We asked the bartender if we could enjoy the Happy Hour at one of the tables, he said, No. Only at the bar. Something that was not spelled out on the menu nor the website. We sat at the bar. The menu listed the house gin at $5. I asked which Gin did they use as House Gin. The bartender said, I can give you Tanqueray but the price is not $5 like the menu says, it's $7. He said that menu was from Milford, not Westbrook. Weird...so I get a glass of wine, which did ring at $6 like the menu said. We ordered a few "tapas". Out of the four that we tried, the best one was the turnover (empanada), then the meatballs (tiny meatballs), then the fried calamari (which tasted and looked out of a frozen wholesale fried calamari bag) and last the pork medallion (not tasty at all). When the bill came, two of the tapas had the wrong price (higher than what the menu said)....I had to ask the bartender to rectify, which he did.....Poor people the ones that do not check their bills....they can easily be overcharged here....Big time..... Not recommended....not coming back.

Come Mother's Day and I am not a fan of going out on the actual day, but I did remember this place. We made a Saturday reservation, picked up my son from work, and headed over here. SO WORTH IT! I thought the spot was adorable and clearly well loved by locals and their own staff. You really get the feeling that all that work there really love the place. I like the menu items are not the "usual suspects" I see at most Tapas places, which are good but sometimes you want to shake things up. We got: Bolas de queso Patatas Aioli Croquetas De Jamon Croquetas De Verduras Solomillo De Ternera y Queso Cabrales Calamares Fritos Tabla de Quesos Pisto Manchego Albondigas De Cordero Iberico Peras Borrachas Torta De Chocolate All the menu items were flavorful and enjoyable. I think my favorite was the Croquetas De Jamon, if I had to choose just one item. We also decided to get two desserts - a pear dessert which seems to be their signature dish and the chocolate tort. While the pear was lovely, I was really in the mood for something chocolate so I enjoyed it more (but honestly cannot go wrong with either).

The MOST welcoming and friendly staff that treats you like family as soon as you walk in. I enjoyed my staples for the night: Jamón Iberico, garlic Chicken; pollo al ajillo (a must), and a red sangria. The jamón is freshly cut to order with a nice drizzle of pure olive oil over top. The sangria is so refreshing with fresh fruit tasting like they just picked it themselves. The lovely bartender, Astrit, informed me the grapes are Grenache from Spain , which have a dryer, robust flavor compared to the sweeter red sangrias that make you regret your decisions the next morning and tastes better in my opinion. I'm usually more of a beer guy but this slaps! I've also had the white before and that also hits the Richter scale. Last but surely not least, the garlic chicken (pollo al Ajillo) is the best chicken I've ever had, hand to God. Spiced with everything nice and delicious oil and garlic that you deserve. Even on a first date, you'll be kissed after giving this to your significant other. This fine establishment is one of my favorites and I always am satisfied, leaving with a full belly. I hope the same for you!

Hot food came on freezing cold plates which made it immediately turn cold. Prices were incredibly high for the food quality and quantity. But the one anecdote which really sums up our whole experience: I asked for a cup of hot tea (it was COLD in there). They came back around 4 or 5 times to ask me what kind of tea, if I want milk, should the milk be hot or cold, like a "cup" of tea or "something else"? It took about 20 minutes and the involvement of three people for them to bring me half a mug of hot water, a little cup of (hot) milk, and a celestial seasonings English Breakfast tea bag and then had the temerity to charge 9 DOLLARS for it. It was so utterly ridiculous. I'm usually willing to give people a second chance if there was anything good about the experience but this one is just a no from me.

If you love the vibe and culinary creativity of Sarma or Oleana, Zayith absolutely belongs on your list. We sampled a wide range of the menu--patatas bravas, murgh malai skewers, lentil nachos, skordostoumbi (Zakynthos-style garlic shrimp), kataifi-wrapped prawns, and paneer butter masala--and every single dish was executed beautifully. The flavors were bold yet balanced, and the Indian influences stood out for their authenticity and depth rather than being diluted for fusion's sake. Compliments to the chef for creating such thoughtful, seamless combinations. The cocktails were equally impressive--we tried the sangria and the spiced goose, both of which paired wonderfully with the food and reinforced the Mediterranean spirit of the menu. The experience truly felt transportive--taking us from the streets of Seville to Greece and India in one sitting. The ambience is warm and inviting, making it equally well-suited for a family dinner, a special night out, or a relaxed evening with friends. We're so glad to have discovered this neighborhood gem--and it's safe to say we'll be regulars.

Lenox has some really cool spots and Ombra is one of them. Recommended by a local, we stopped here on Valentine's Day after our dinner for a nice glass of wine. The place was crowded but luckily a few people were leaving so we scored some seats at the bar. I ordered a glass of Nebbiolo from Italy which was good. My husband had a beer. The place is so cute and very romantic with dim lights, a great wine selection and their food looked so good. Unfortunately, we were so full that we did not end up ordering anything. Although, the french fries were calling my name. Ombra is a place that I could see us coming to almost every week and not getting tired of it. We met a local who is very nice and told us how Ombra is very popular. I think we will have to come back in the spring/summer to get those french fries :) If you are ever in Lenox definitely make your way to Ombra for a nice glass of wine or try a cocktail. This is the perfect date night spot for sure whether you start or end your evening here, you will be happy! Cheers~

They really are fried to perfection. Frituras de Maiz: (10/10): Wow, these fritters are also amazing. They come with such a rich sauce. The fritters are exploding with flavor. Cazuela de Coliflor Asada (9/10): Insanely good dish. The cauliflower has perfect texture, complemented by the pistachios. The sauce is SO good. The cauliflower soaks it up so well. Chicharrones (9/10): Melt in your mouth pork belly. The pork skin crust was perfect. The sauces really make most of the dishes here. This dish is no different - I loved the sauce. Ropa Vieja (9/10): Perfectly slow cooked meat. One thing that really stood out to me was actually the white rice. The rice was VERY high quality, and I appreciated it so much. It's rare to come by rice this good. It had the perfect texture, chew, and fragrance. Ropa Vieja de Hongos (9/10): Pretty much the same as Ropa Vieja above. The mushrooms are delicious, and the dish is just as good whether your order the mushroom or steak version. Empanada del Carne (9/10): Oh man, the crusts are so good. This is pretty on par with the ones I just had in Puerto Rico. Chuletas de Cordero (8/10): The seasoning is heavenly. I was licking the lamb chops clean. Croquetas (8/10): Very solid croquetas. Wouldn't say it's a must-order, but you can't go wrong with them. Costillas a la Guayaba (6/10): The first time I had this it was really nicely marinated, and the rib meat is so tender that it almost falls off the bone. The second time, the meat was dry. Camarones a la Plancha (6.5/10): Solid dish, but I enjoyed some other ones even more. Ensalada de Aguacate y Pina (6/10): The salad was a bit too sour, and that sourness overpowered the dish. It was a great blend of ingredients, though. *** and one dessert *** Churros con Chocolate (8.5/10): Big crunchy fluffy churros!! The chocolate sauce is amazing (not really spicy at all).
