It could be really nice but, very dirty!! Kinda gross really and most of good rides are closed 80 % of time. Mini golf is good but dirty and sometimes you have to move trash to play and I'm not kidding but it was fun! The food is microwave stuff and soda. Gatorade 16 oz was 6 dollars with the season pass discount so maybe 3 times the price. So basically they charge you like it's Disneyland but it's worse than the traveling fair that comes around your town. The only reason they can really get away with this is because there's not much else around. If the staff did they job and cleaned and maybe were nice it could be very different but right now I would have to say stay away. Talked to manger she said yeah I wish it was different! Due to covid, only the mini golf area was open, which was fine cause that's what we went there for. Employees are extremely nice. The mini golf area needs a little bit of a face lift. really cool concept with the 4 different courses but definitely should be kept up with a little more, especially during such a slow season. Masks and social distancing aren't really forced but they do check temperature at the entrance. I don't remember the specific pricing but I also don't remember it being crazy expensive. it seemed like a decent price to be able to play unlimited mini golf. we also had some hotdogs and they weren't too bad either. read more

My favorite place for mini-golf! I love that there are four courses, each has it's own challenges and theme.

This park is an old establishment, but provides a certain level of nostalgia. Admission is much cheaper online, so be sure to get your ticket from there. I was a bit annoyed that they charge so much for parking, especially when there is neighborhood parking around the area, I would just suggest parking there instead and walking over when we entered the park, we were told that more than half the rides were down, but at least they gave us a ticket for future use, which was a good gesture. We ended up asking if they could give us mini golf instead, which they were able to do thankfully as I don't come up to this area often. I did enjoy the mini golf and what little rides were available. The mini golf is on the harder side, so if you're looking for a challenge, this would be a good spot. read more

This place should have been condemned decades ago. All the rides are 50-60 years old. The mini golf course has not been upgraded in decades. The game room is nearly there. The food is awful and expensive. I did like the magic show The only redeeming feature is the waterpark. I'd give that a solid 4 out of 5. Castle Park wants to know how to improve the park! Where do I start? 1. Replace all the rides starting with the one that killed someone last year. 2. Renovate the game room. 3. Renovate or replace all of the games. 4. Brought my grandson here today, half the rides were closed. The rides need painting and are really run down. The restrooms were really dirty and we came just as the park opened. I would definitely drive to Knotts berry farm for 10 bucks more a ticket than go here. Don't waste your money. Super disappointed! It's not the castle park I grew up at:( read more

Took my nephew here today, and he had a blast. The park was clean, lines were not long at all compared to Disney, and there was an employee who was super helpful and led us part way to find the arcade. I haven't been here in over 10 years, so I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, some of the rides were closed, but there were many still open. PS - super value to get the annual pass. It's always fun! I've taken my daughter when she was younger and now my grandson. I like it because it's close to my home. Therefore, it's convenient and for the most part I feel safe. I think their food prices are a bit high for the quality you receive, but everything is expensive now a days. Regardless, when kids are little, they enjoy the rides and the experience. Finally! A place that is open during quarantine! What a splendid opportunity to spend with family and adults an children! It's like reliving an old past time before smart phones consumed our lives! The simple game of miniature golf! I saw several families all practicing the rules of social distancing and everyone was having a blast! Something this Covid pandemic situation can't affect for now! I was so happy to see the place was open! It's hard to know what people can do these days with so many businesses out of operation or temporary closed due to everything that is going on. Online you can't even know for sure if something is open or not cause some places or search engines haven't updated their information so we don't even know to do with ourselves these days! I can't just sit at home all day and watch all the nonsense that appears on social media. People need to breathe and enjoy the fresh air and spend quality time with loved ones! Castle Park provided a wonderful night for my family! At first I felt like I had to drag everyone out of the house almost as if it was a struggle to get off their big butts and do something a bit more interactive with each other rather than interacting with our phones or computers. Be sure to look online for any specials or deals that may be available for the park. Not all things were open during the pandemic time but the mini golf was the reason I wanted to go to Castle Park! My family was having a blast! I know it might seem like a past time for kids but I saw so many adults just enjoying the simple like of life experience and fun that came with putting a ball into a hole! After careful review of their website. I loaded the kids in the car for a fun time in the Arcade. None of my group was interested in rides. When we got to the ticket booth we paid $15.00 for parking (no problem) then we were told each of us would have to purchase ride tickets, in order to enter Arcade. i questioned this, then I was told we would at least have to purchase miniature golf tickets. Again, I questioned this. I stated that no where on their website does it say "in order to play in the arcade we would have to purchase tickets of any kind". Since one of our group members was in a wheelchair I asked if miniature golf was wheelchair accessible. The answer was No, and that i would still have to purchase that person a golf ticket. I had very disappointed kids. The park needs to update their website in regards to Arcade access & that you have to minimum pay $15 per person for access to Arcade. Maybe as a solution get Wrist bands for arcade only clients And dont charge. And how about your wheelchair community being able to miniature golf, especially when they are forced to purchase a golf ticket at the price of $15.00. Website is misleading!!! Do Better Castle Park. I've been coming here since I was a kid and I've always loved it! It was my first time coming to the park in years, and it's a lot different. I do agree with the others about the golf course issues; the golf balls go missing randomly several times during a game, which makes it hard to really enjoy it. Other spots in the park could also use better maintenance. Nonetheless, what really enhanced my experience was the friendly service my family and I received from an employee named Asontae I believe. How can people hate of Castle park???!!! It costs $9.99 to get in and ride all you want, how can you beat that?!! I have paid that much for a single ride at the fair. Yes, the rides and the park could be updated, but everything is clean and well maintained and works well, and at the prices they charge who can blames them? Every single staff member at the rides was very friendly, we never had to wait more that one turn to get on a ride, again that just can't beat beat and the long waits are the sole reason I avoid big parks like Disney, and again the price. My son is 12 and still had a blast, rides are great for all ages, we all had a fantastic afternoon here and didn't break the bank, even food prices are cheap here, they offer unlimited drinks and popcorn for $20 a year, unheard of! This is a fun little spot for families with toddlers to age 8ish. My 2 and 4 year olds had tons of fun. They rode multiple rides without getting off because there were no lines. Babies and short children can only ride 4 attractions, the child needs to be 36 inches to really have fun. Definitely don't take your 12 or 13 year olds expecting them to have the time of their lives spend the money at Knotts or Six Flags. These rides are geared toward younger kids. Older kids or preteens may have fun miniature golfing or at the arcade. Buy tickets online and in advance for the best deals. We bought annual passes for our family of 4 for $100. Experienced racial discrimination today after visiting castle park in riverside California They treat disabled people like crap and laugh in your face. Peter and Yesenia and the other woman working at the water log ride 4/6/24 around 7:10 pm are unprofessional. Peter yelled at me in my face and left me feeling very uncomfortable after forcing me to ride with strangers and not my family member who is 10 years old and disabled. The other person working made me and my family wait to the side while several people cut us in line after waiting for over 30 minutes after yelling at us. Please do your research on this establishment before coming here. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! THE 3 people who were working the water log ride are rude and racist and left me and my family feeling extremely uncomfortable and embarrassed. 7:10 pm 4/6/2024. Date and time of incident and I hope corporate reads this review and contacts me regarding this because there is much more to this story on how me and my family were treated and talked to by the employees. This was my husband and my first time here today. My husband was looking forward to going mini golfing and had wanted to come here for quite some time. Let me just say, it was not worth it at all. The courses are severly run down, the water displays do not have any water and the overall lack of care for the place makes it not enjoyable. We did course #4 and not only was it missing the starting mats to place the ball on, but several holes were missing obstacles, which left random holes in the course as well as the target hole was missing the bottom and they had put what looked like cut up pool noodles in them to stop the ball. Additionally, the course green was torn up all over the place. I would never reccomend coming here. I would rather drive further to go to a well maintained mini golf course. read more

My family and I went to castle park yesterday (3/16) and there had seemed to be a problem with another family that went .there was a man, which I presume to be father, on top of the roof of the employee lounge screaming how the conductor on the train kept blowing kisses at his 8 year old son. Didn't seem like anyone in management was doing anything about it . This father was pretty upset, I believe him. and management needs to look into the conductor that was there that evening. Lots of vintage charm! Original builder/owner also built for Knotts berry farm back in the day. Buccaneer cove was fun but better for little kids under 10 and too many older kids were there. Not enough seating for parents. Food prices were affordable. Dumb to have to pay $15 for parking. Not really needed as there aren't any other businesses around. $15 for a refillable cup ($1.62/refill). Rides were a little old but our kids had a blast. Clientele is a little sketchy but didn't run into any problems. Definitely wouldn't pay full price for tickets but we got a discount. read more

Tonight the council and I made our way to Castle Park for their annual Halloween Event aptly named "Castle Dark". It had been 20 years since I had been to Castle Park for Halloween back in the beginning the park only featured one Haunted House called "The Morgue" I remember it well as it left a great lasting impression on me. I want to give props to ALL of the Scare Actors they were all committed and held their characters very well. My Top Scare Actors were The "Cute" Clown in the Midway area and the "Distressed Sister" in the "House Next Door Maze" Now lets talk about the Mazes like I said the talent was good but thin and the Mazes are kinda sad, Bare walls and empty spaces the scenery and sets were good but not very well thought out (Maybe its a Budget Thing) This is definitely fun for Teens and Pre Teens Adult haunt snobs will most likely not have fun. But for me the nostalgia factor was high and I appreciate the work that was put into the event as its not easy to please the public. An area of improvement would be signage for the mazes and maybe go back to the original idea One really good really long maze that combined with the Rides, Dj, Food and the Street Scare Actors would make for a more streamlined event. My nephew and I went to castle park and had a good time, the only problem was how they don't take cash at all anywhere at the park. As adults most of us have credit cards or a different form of payment but I was disappointed at the fact that a juvenile employee is left alone to give the customer one option... Very inconvenient.. Also, half of the courses were closed... I disliked that experience very much. So if you all decide to come to castle park, make sure to bring a credit card, debit card or a card in general. read more

Race Baiting at Castle Park: I took my family to Castle Dark tonight. $25 for parking. After completing the 3 mediocre mazes, we decided to try some rides. After nearly reaching the front of the line, the 2 kids in front of us invited their 4 friends to join them in line. I softly reprimanded them for cutting the line, as I would my own children, since their parents were nowhere to be found. The addition of the 4 kept two of my own children from making the ride with us. These youngsters continued to be disrespectful to us which we weathered. However, following our next ride, park staff pulled us aside and accused me of racism although race had not been part of our conversation. The parents of these misbehaved children should have been with them and should be ashamed of the race lessons they've taught. For me, the decision has been made that we will NOT return to Castle Park. If you're white, and you still believe in raising children through community to be respectful, this is not the venue for you. read more

She basically treated me like I was dumb in front of her staff and they all laughed at us. Nothing makes Me more angry than a teenager talking to me like I'm an idiot. We found the overall theme very entertaining, but the quality of the golf courses is so bad, it hardly seemed worth the $100 + cost for six to play. Many courses had rips in the turf so severe; you couldn't even get a straight roll toward the hole. What was once a great mini-golf park is now a run-down shadow of its former self. read more

I used to come here when I was a child and now I came back to take my nephews and it's so sad. The workers are extremely rude. No one greeted or acknowledge us(All the ride operators) . We were ignored by them and they had attitude. We got there when they just opened. I can understand if we came later and they had a long shift but if that's how they are starting their day, I can't imagine how they act when a couple hours in their shift. Don't get me started with the train operator. He was frowning the whole time and not a word came out of him. Also, a lot of the rides were not open. Very few selected ones. I was extremely excited to go back and check out the ghost blasters ride but of course that was closed too. I think they should have a sign out front to let you know that about half of the park rides/entertainment is closed. It was over priced to get this kind of experience. Not a great place to hold huge birthday parties. Everything was way over priced. Most rides were down. Paid for the gold package and the room but did not know we had to share the room with other people. Food was not great. Every food item was very salty. overcrowded couldn't really enjoy playing Minigolf since they only hold birthday parties on the weekend. Felt like i was ripped off by paying for the gold package and spending $1,800 because it did not provide food for the adults. Adults had to pay for their own food and drinks. Most of the rides that day were down and we did not get discounted for that. Impossible to play Minigolf feeling rushed all the time because they're people waiting behind you . overall did not have a great experience. Not a good place at all to throw a huge birthday party. They even have a water area which you are allowed to go to in regular clothes but you have to have a swim suit to go down the slides. None the less this is such a hidden gem !!! We were charged for parking when we should not have been per their own website which states that parking is free if the rides are closed (opens at 12PM) but arcade and golf is open (11AM) we came to play golf and showed the parking attendant what the website said; she called her supervisor who couldn't give a clear answer and said we still had to pay. We love this place we get annual passes every year. I renewed pass online and realize there wasn't a parking annual pass when we showed up at the park. I paid the $15 to park and when I came inside they advised me that there is no longer a annual parking pass so now with my annual pass I have to pay $15 every time I come to the park how is this fair? Keep in mind I bring my kids once to two times a week in the summer and once a month the rest of the year. This makes me very disappointed as me and my family love this place. If I had known this information I wouldn't have renewed my pass. So sad because we Love Castle Park. I can understand a increase in the parking pass but taking it away without any warning is not cool! Is there a new management? Is this corporate? This place has become a joke, I grew up here my parent brought us here all the time and now that my kids are older I was hoping enjoy the experiences that I had as a kid here with them and sayly it was a huge disappointment. Prices are ridiculous few only a few rides to be open and the one that are open require an unrealistic height for kiddos to even ride. Grew up here but never visited until yesterday. Took my twin toddlers and was pleasantly surprised. We arrived at 12 on a Friday in mid-June but the park was not full. As the day progressed more people came but the kids were still able to ride everything several times with very little lines. The bathroom & grounds were very clean but you can tell overall the park does need some attention. It's understaffed so some rides are not open or an operator is hopping between 2 rides. The day we were there only 2 or 3 of the rides weren't open so the kids still got to go on about 9 or 10 of the rides. The water park is very well set up and the kids loved spending some time there. The biggest issue would be food. It's VERY overpriced and generally not that good. The Pizza Hut personal pizzas in the Arcade was however, pretty decent. Recommendation to Management: * Work on engagement with staff. Most of the staff interacted very little with customers. They rarely smiled and most looked bored out of their mind. * A little at high quality is better then a lot sloppy. It would seem to be better to close the park a few days a week to spend time painting, dusting & cleaning up areas. Then open on the weekends with a bang. *Would suggest partnering with local collage art programs to help create new facades. Several areas of the working park are exposed with lots of supplies being seen by guests. Would be a much nicer experience to see cute painted facades then junk & supplies. read more

Spent the day here with a few family members. We all had a great time. A few rides were not working, but it didn't deter from the outing. We started out playing miniature golf. It was personally my favorite mini golf experience. It was a lovely, well maintained course. The staff were sweet and accommodating for my daughter's needs (she sometimes uses a wheelchair). Enjoyed the Log ride. Been missing the one at the park near my home. I think that this is an affordable day outing for families as well as adults. I do believe they also have a water park area when the weather heats up. Hopefully more people will check it out regardless of the lower reviews. We truly had a great day. read more
