Do NOT use them. It took them 6 months to resurface/retile our pool. The owner, Michael, was extremely difficult to get ahold of, unresponsive, and made false promises. He never followed through with what he said. The trouble started when I requested a specific tile (via email, so it was proof in writing) and he delivered the wrong tile, then he proceeded to argue with me that I was wrong and ordered the wrong tile. He tried to even get me to pay a restocking fee for the wrong tile that I never wanted. Then the tile on the steps were done sloppily and it took MONTHS to get them back to fix it. Five months to be exact. And they only came to do it when we threatened to contact the ROC. These issues couldn't even be blamed on the pandemic and material shortages. It's just poor business, communication, and ethics. Go somewhere else. read more

I hired Catalina pools to do weekly pool maintenance. They charged me to replace a few O rings and clean my filter. I paid and the next pool company showed me that this work was never even completed. This pool service is way over priced and very unreliable. I would not recommend them to anyone. They let my pool get totally green and told me that they had come out but I was not home and did not answer my phone which was completely untrue. They charged me when they had a company meeting one week also and didn't even let me know that they weren't coming. My wife contacted Micheal, the owner of Catalina pools to come out to our house so we could get a quote from Micheal to redo our pool and landscape around our pool. Micheal came out to our house and we discussed what we wanted to do as far redoing our pool and landscape. Before Micheal left he said he would send over his estimate in about a week. A week went by and nothing came from Micheal as far a estimate. A few more days went by and still nothing from Micheal. My wife then called Micheal and asked if he had received her email. Micheal said that he was sick the past few days and was trying to catch up on work. We waited another week and decided to text Micheal. Micheal never replied to our text. Hired these guys to service my pool. The first three weeks the pool was a swamp and I was not able to swim in my pool. Despite multiple requests, they refused to come more than once a week for 15 minutes. In addition, they said they would clear out my line to the creepy crawly. When the owner could not do it, he referred me to another pool company. The other pool company came and recommended I replace my pool filter, so I did. I bought the equipment from the other company because they had spent the time to look at my pool and identified the source of the problem and Catalina did not seem to care. When Catalina realized I had bought the filter from the other company, the owner of Catalina, like a child, canceled my pool services. This is his prerogative, though a bad business decision. However, even though he told me he would finish out the month, Catalina never came again. Do not use this company. read more
