Shrimp and Grits and Fried Shrimp - our favorite meals.

We LOVE this Resturant. It is our go to date lunch place. The prices are very fair and reasonable.

Fried shrimp and scallops with the most delicious hush puppies and crispy fries

The hubs and I went here for dinner on Friday night because we were craving seafood. When we got there, there is only about a 10 minute wait so we decided to stay. A cute restaurant, but definitely a little crowded as far as space and very loud. We were greeted by a very lovely young lady who was our server. She told us all about the specials and was very helpful in recommending items off the menu. We ordered the crab cake appetizer, the choose two, fried shrimp and fried scallops and a teriyaki salmon special. The crabcakes were to die for! I wish now that I had ordered those as my meal. They were super flavorful and you could tell that they were handmade and not frozen. The fried shrimp was excellent as was the salmon special. The scallops were good, but I think next time I would order them broiled. We had one small issue, which I mentioned to another server. My husband ordered an old-fashioned to drink. When it came, the ball of ice, they used was too big for the glass. When he took the ice out, the amount of liquid (alcohol and such) Was equal to about maybe 3 tablespoons. For as much as we paid for that drink, there should've been more than two sips. When I mentioned it to the server, she was apologetic and said that the person behind the bar was training and that next time we should ask for her. All in all, it was a wonderful dinner and we will definitely be back!

Try the Shrimp & Grits with Sausage. Best time to go is during the week midday. The vibe is "Welcome Home". As soon as you walk in, you're greeted with a smile. You'll get a boost of serotonin as a result of nostalgic 80's music playing overhead and 90's hit TV Shows like "Friends" displaying on screens. It's a comy-cozy local eatery that feels like it's always been around to serve homestyle meals.

This place was really good. Met our expectations and then some. We are down at Lake Murray for my kids bday weekend renting a boat and air b and b. We looked for a local seafood restaurant. We asked around and we got generic places around the lake to go, but 15 min away we'll worth it...okay now onto the food. I got the shrimp and grits...awesome. Shrimp tasted incredible. She crab soup, I ordered two bowls because it was amazing. My wife tried the crab cakes for the appetizer and that did not disappoint. She got the shrimp and scallop combo platter. Broiled scallops and fried shrimp cooked to perfection. She also got hush puppies. The kiddos got separate plates, blackened chicken Alfredo, ribeye, Cajun pasta (x2). The boys killed off their plates and said everything was amazing. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone not native to the area and if you are a local and haven't been there yet, you are missing out. Next year when we come back down for our long weekend, we will be back most definitely.

    Scallops and arctic Char

We ordered the specials (arctic char and scallops) and they were delicious. Scallops had a pineapple glaze which we were initially skeptical about, but it was delicious.

Interesting menu, nice atmosphere. Good southern style food. Drinks & wine. Back deck with fans too!

Sweet potato fries, blackened salmon, and a lemon wedge for the fish. Off to the side, veggies.

Everyone love CAtfish Johnnys. The staff seemed afraid to be too nice and the manager literally told someone near me he cancelled all bands or did not book any rock bands or have any bands on Fridays because it brought in 'that crowd'. He wants to focus on Families and cut down on alcohol and certain appetizers that attract them. . There is that. Sooooo... Oh service was slow, we ordered three or 4 of the same exact item and all three came completely different. Shrimp was fried on one, Shrimp was cooked another way on the 2nd and Anyway the plates looked like completely different orders. The drinks were made the same- all different even when ordering the same drink. We did not complain as it clearly was not the servers fault. We will remember the manager pretty much insulted all previous patrons which includes a lot of people with boats and money and laughs. Although he wanted to focus on Families, I saw no more or any security or extra security around the water so do not expect extra safety for your children and there may have been but I didn't notice an expanded children's menu. I think the prices may have been higher too. Enjoy the new Knotted Marina and bring your own music you may not see any of your favorite oldskool bands. I normally get a Togo meal to bring home. I did not this trip. The manager may not have known he was talking to one of the bands that previously played there. I really used to love this place. We shall see

Great choice it was delicious, but the food was especially remarkable, one thing about the crabcakes is the pickled vegetables done in house, wonderful flavor and especially the thickness of the slice and vegetable choice. The steak was very good. Although I'm from Montana, so I've got a little spoiled on good steak from home. Shrimp was cooked to perfection. Really amazing, people always overcooked shrimp. The ambience is open and big was a little too hot to eat outside but it's nice That such a wonderful restaurant had outside seating. One thing that really shined was the service. The bartender was a young lady who was in training. But she always had a big smile was unbelievably helpful and attentive. The key when training and learning something new to you is have a good attitude about it it always shines forward. I had management and multiple staff people check in and ask me how I was doing. Overall service was beyond words, especially the bartender in training, Katherine. One thing that's just a personal preference, I don't think high-quality steakhouses should use serrated blade knives. A good sharp steak knife cuts meat differently. A good steakhouse should take the time to sharpen and have a good knives. Serrated blade knives are for info-commercials

We started with the deviled eggs which seemed like they didn't even try to add flavor. Only one person in the group ordered steak which was not cooked to the order, and was completely unevenly prepared. Two people in the group ordered the burger which were ordered as medium and came overly well done. The prices are the only high end items on the menu. I have no problem paying for a decent meal, however the Chophouse of Chapin needs to address the food quality. I would advise to go elsewhere for your dinner plans.

This was better than my wife's order of tri tip, which was much more like roast beef. We are both of the mind that sometimes mistakes can be opportunities so we just accepted it without complaint. It wasn't bad, but it was. Just ok. So overall, the experience was simply just that. Ok.... $50 of ok. I just don't make enough to have $50 ok experiences.
