I had Flautas with rice no beans. Delicious! The salsa is super tasty with a yummy roasted flavor and the chips were light and crispy. Although the decor of the restaurant was quite lovely... and the server was pleasant and helpful. HOWEVER..... the food was bland and tasteless for a Mexican restaurant, my tostada had no seasoning on it, and the salsa tasted heavily of smoke , not tomatoes. The beans obviously came from a can and we're watered down. They need to get a better cook that has some ideas for more authentic food. I called this restaurant about a week ago to see if they could accommodate a 50th birthday party for about 20 people We made the reservation and the manager made us up a special menu with a choice of three items Every food item was absolutely delicious The service was incredible from the girls who work there They set up our table with salsa chips and guacamole had menus for each person and prompt with drink service accommodating all 20 people After dinner they helped us with cake and dessert and we're always there to service the table throughout the evening This restaurant rates as number one in the Roseville Rocklin area for me and everyone that was there They made our experience incredible with great food and drinks and service read more

I'm excited to go back. I've gone twice now and both times ordered the tamales. They are absolutely amazing!!! And the customer service is top tier. I would go back to just hang out with the staff haha. They really will do anything to make the customer happy and go out of their way for you. I for sure will be going here more often! read more

The Ambience is still great and service was just ok. However, the food is not good at all. We have been here before and were extremely disappointed this time. I got a whole different item this go around and asked for refried beans instead because the black beans I had last time were awful and undercooked. Everything was bland and tasted as if it had zero salt, including the tortilla chips. My food was also not hot. It was barely warm as if it wasn't staged right for service. Came in to Catrinas tonight for a fun date night. The vibe was amazing. So many fun places to take pictures. We sat at the bar for some chips and salsa while decided on food. I got the bean dip and cheese enchiladas hubby got the chili Colorado. We both agree the food is amazing, such elevated and well developed flavors. Can't wait to bring my daughter back here on lunch break. Think this is going to be my new fav in Rocklin. read more

First time here. And I'm not sure if this place is under new management or this is a whole new place, because the previous Mexican restaurant here was pretty bad but I was pleasantly surprised. I had enchiladas and my friend had fajitas. We both loved our dish. Their salsa is also BOMB that comes with chips. I also loved the decor!! So many interesting pieces! Service was a bit slow on a Friday afternoon but it looked like they only had 2 waiters. So I'll give them a pass this time lol read more

Coming from TX it's been difficult to find a good Mexican restaurant, and this definitely comes close. The margaritas are delicious and the carne asada fajitas with pineapple and avocado is a nice spin and very tasty. Staff are so nice and friendly, food is delicious and service was great. Will definitely come back, it has made the our food lineup for sure. Just tried this place for first time. The decorations are over the top and way too many, it was like being at store that sells decorations and happens to make food too. I ordered chicken fajitas to share with my husband. When I took a bite of the chicken alone, it was flavorless. The chips tasted old and had a funky flavor, so we didnt any. The salsa had a good smoky flavor needed LOTS of salt. The black beans were alright.. the best part of the meal was the tortillas. Our waiter Jorge did a good job especially considering he was the only person waiting.. They've spent to much time on the decor .. way over the top and not enough time on the actual food .. we won't be eating here again. read more

We ordered the enchiladas, chimichanga and a Cadillac margarita. Margarita was great. Food not so great. Enchiladas were soggy and the sauce was almost like a marinara. The rice was super salty and the beans lukewarm. Chimichanga I did not try, but my wife was not impressed and ate maybe 4 bites before she was done. Overall not great Mexican food and probably won't be back. Oh the salsa that came with the chips was the best part. There was about 4 tables seated on a Friday night at 8:30. read more

If you are looking for a great sit-down (or take home) Mexican meal, then I wholeheartedly recommend Catrina's Cantina. I recently moved back up to the Roseville area and after searching quite a bit for high quality Mexican food, I found it there. I have been there three times over the past month and I have tried the chicken enchiladas, the steak fajitas and then the shredded beef enchiladas. I was not disappointed with any of those dishes. They were fantastic. The meat was always tender and the flavors were mouth watering. I am a bread lover, and I have to say that the flour tortillas that came with the fajitas were great! Their salsa is also top-notch with excellent flavor! I always get a container to take home when I go for a meal there. I will say that their plastic containers suck. The lids are hard to get off. Anyway, Give Catrina's a try. If you love quality Mexican food and are tired of the fast-food Taqueria's, you will love this place. Whew the reviews are hard on this place! We found this gem when we needed a meal takeout for a large family about 9:30PM. They suggested some kids meals and happily took our order with zero knowledge of the menus. The food was hot and delicious, I even had a shot of tequila while I waited. The restaurant is immaculate and the staff is more than helpful, they're kind and friendly. When one kids meal wasn't included they happily comped another meal for me while cooking up what was forgotten. I picked it up past close with staff who had a smile. Catrina's is such a beautiful restaurant. The glass art, metal art, ceramic pieces, etc set a beautiful backdrop for enjoying your meal. Service was kind, timely, and patient with us as my dining buddy and I were there to enjoy a meal and plan an event together. Notebooks and all, but our awesome waitress was patient with us and kept us stocked on drinks etc. as we stayed at our table longer than we were actually eating.
