Cat is fabulous and she's an amazing teacher who took her time to teach me to make an awesome messenger bag today. She is also very smart and sweet who gives good tips. The store has a good location and free parking. Besides giving quilting classes, she offers other quilting services. She also sells fabric, rulers, and other supplies. If you're a beginner or advanced, this is a great place to work and learn.

Quilting pattern Cat selected for this fabric - just perfect!

This is for the Hobby lobby location located in Pasadena. There aren't too many other locations…read morenearby so this is the place to go if you're looking for a store for crafts and other items. They're a lot more Michaels stores and this might be the first integration of Hobby lobby here in this area. I know there is one out in West Covina, and that might be the next closest location, but that's still quite a distance away. Everything is very well organized here. It does feel a little bit dated inside, even though this is a newer store. I can't remember if they took over a mervyns or Sears or something but everything is very well organized, and very easy to find where things are. The checkout process is a little bit of a bottleneck. Maybe it's not easier to do self check out kiosks otherwise they would've done it already. On the way out, there was a lady that was upset because the registers are staggered in a specific way, and she either overshot it and I didn't understand the flow of things so she was upset about how she wasn't able to check out yet The immediate area right outside Hobby lobby is a little bit chaotic. A lot of cars and lots of people are trying to park here so sometimes the directional flow things proves to be a little bit challenging for people. It is a bit hectic so don't drive too fast.

Went to have a painting framed, that I've had since the 90's…read more It was done by a family member and I am quite fond of it. A pretty good reproduction of an original Gauguin that happens to be in a nearby Pasadena art museum. Well, we paid a visit to Hobby Lobby, as we were picking up some things from nearby Whole Foods. The store occupies Sear's old location on Foothill. It's a huge place and designed to get you to walk around for things as signage isn't plentiful or helpful. Shelves are high so unless you are very tall you need to search around, guess they took that cue from Costco, it works if you aren't in a hurry. We were happy to find they had a framing department and also a fabric area, which, since the sad closing of JoAnne's, I was glad to see for the ghost of my mother who enjoyed sewing. I'm focusing on the Framing department and the friendly efficient gentleman in charge of that department, his name is Theo. He was helpful and friendly from the start. Their framing prices are posted as 50% off, which sounded great, but I guess the original prices need to be considered before seeing this as a good deal. Well, we checked on one style which had always been our original style we felt appropriate for this art work. We visited Tahiti a couple of years ago and and saw some Gaugain copies framed in a similar style, it works very well, so we inquired as to cost and estimated the size as we didn't have the painting with us. It was very reasonable compared to the frame shops we have checked over the decades, yes, decades! It was a very fair price, not knowing the quality of the work was something to consider, but Theo was very efficient and knew his products and was very meticulous. We could tell we were in very good hands. We were quoted, less the 50%, a little under $100 before tax. A very fair price. We were given a "finish by date", and 5 days before that date I gave a call to check on status, I was told it would be done in a couple of days. I was surprised and happy to receive a message later that day from Theo that our framing job was finished and available for pick up. We got over there that evening and Though Theo was gone then, a nice young lady got our finished product for us. It looked very nice. She walked us and the painting up to the lone cashier, as that is their policy, and we waited in line to pay. They did open another register as the line was about 6 people deep. I'm not going to get into their company politics, but over all it was a positive experience, especially thanks to Theo and his friendly, knowledgeable service and framing skill. Thanks Theo!

She is one of the kindest, most genuine, and down-to-earth people you'll ever meet. Debbie's love for people shines through her work, and she pours her heart into every detail--whether it's floral design, stationery, or planning. Her team is just as wonderful: professional, warm, and always on top of things. They make wedding planning feel effortless, which is such a gift during what can often be a stressful time... If you want a company that not only creates beautiful work but also cares about their clients, I can't recommend Debbie and her team enough!!

There will never be enough words to express how truly grateful we are for the incredible Aquafuzion…read moredream team. I've been following them since I was 14, and from the very beginning, I knew they would be a nonnegotiable for my wedding--and now, I can say with 100% certainty that choosing them was one of the best decisions we made. From day one, Debbie, Alondra, Stephanie, Rachel, Presilla, Frida, and Adriana poured their hearts into every single detail. They weren't just our wedding planners--they were our designers, our florists, our coordinators, our late-night therapists (yes, answering 1 AM and 2 AM texts!), and truly our fairy godmothers. Every event they touched--from our bridal shower to the big day--was pure magic. They helped us contact vendors, designed and created our stunning invitations, and even arranged florals for our bridal shower. On the wedding day itself, they were everywhere, making sure timelines were followed to the minute, guests were taken care of, vendors were managed, and every single detail was flawless. They even made sure we and our loved ones were fed, hydrated, and happy--which might sound small, but trust me, it's everything on a day like that. Austin and I didn't have to think twice about anything. They were ten steps ahead of us at all times. Their eye for detail, impeccable organization, and genuine care made this feel like the epitome of luxury service. And somehow, on top of all that, they still made us feel like family--like they were personally invested in making sure our day was unforgettable. I'm already dreaming up our next event just so we can work with them again. If you're looking for wedding planners, designers, florists--humans--who will pour their heart and soul into your day, look no further. Aquafuzion isn't just a vendor--they're a blessing.
