Worst experience with a car repair service not only can they not figure out why I have heat issues now they cannot figure out why my car won't start 2019 Rogue . I have a Nissan extended warranty and all I can say is they have the worst possible Customer Service worst possible attitude I have ever seen from a car place. I have spoken to Greg who told me I'll have your car fixed today. This was on a Saturday then told me he never said that and he had witnesses. It was absolutely ridiculous and he said sorry. I thought he could get it done today, but I can't. I would've totally understood. He started saying that he had to pick children up. I don't even understand what that had to do with getting my car fixed, but whatever spoke to Matt manager of Service he doesn't call back then finally when I got angry he did call back and he had the same rude attitude. I asked to speak to the general manager, and obviously the attitude comes from the top down. The general manager told me that I can call Nissan they won't care because my warranty expired a long time ago and my extended warranty is with a third-party. No it is not. It is a Nissan #Warranty and I confirmed that so far my car has been into them four times in the last two months. It has not started seven times and they can't figure out why they've had my car for three days grudgingly gave me a loaner the last time that was horrible partially disabled that I couldn't get in and out of the car, agonizingly painful, and their attitude was horrendous. Well dropped off daughters NISSAN Thursday. Didn't hear anything so we called Friday afternoon cause they didn't call us. Told us part had to be ordered and will be in Saturday. Saturday no info. So we call and part DIDN'T come in. We told them we will take car back since it runs and when part is in we can schedule repair. Sorry no good took it apart and tossed broken part. Monday no call from them. So we have made 9 calls with 2 messages left asking to call us on status. NO CALL BACK. I called 10th time and asked for service manger. I was switched to Paul's voice mail. No return call AGAIN. They are untrained and unpleasant and unprofessional. Website says service open till 530pm. So I went at 510pm. Guess what closed. Door says 730am to 5Pm. They cant even get their shit straight for the hours. This is the ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE. Bad enough the part obviously is 2 days overdue but they dont have the professional standards to return customer calls. That is the service desks responsiblity. If I could give a negative star it would be -5. Now on to Nissan corporate. As of today the part finaly came and is fixed. The only person that did the positive thing was Greg. I recently bought a car here since my husband and I had a bad experience at causeway Nissan. Got a 2017 Nissan Sentra, got it because we were told that the warranty is up to 100k miles or just 2 years from this year. Well leaving that place had me feeling very uncertain about our warranty and it only got more confusing and agitating. We still haven't received any information about our warranty especially after going back to ask. Idek what to do in the event something happens to my car at this point other than to bring it to them which is my first choice for mechanic work because of how over priced they always are no matter what dealership mechanic you go to. They made us pay almost $4k over what the car is worth and low balled my trade in by $2k even after I made a stink about the original, even lower quote the gave me first. I just feel taken advantage of because we went late, we were the last people there and while it was nice everybody stayed late to help us I can't help but feel taken advantage of. I know used car prices are up right now, by about 20% but I was swindled into paying far more than 20% of the cars original value. And even after stressing I didn't want to finance more than $10k, they wouldn't work with me and since it was so late I felt my negotiations were unwelcome. Especially after my stink about low balling my trade in so severely. They also tried selling us the warranty they said came with the car for an extra $30/month. When we went in to find out what the actual warranty was I felt no better. The sales manager assured me I have the 100k mile warranty but gave us no paperwork on it. Still haven't received an email about it but I did get an email that said they're willing to buy my trade in for more money. The nonsense is real. Bought a used car here. Really loved the car and it was probably the easiest sale they ever made. A week later the trouble started-. Sun roof leaked, they said it wasn't leaking when they had it. Next, needed an alignment less than 2k miles after purchase, not their responsibility. Also brake rotors were warped carfax said they just did them at Causeway. I bet the carfax was forged. Causeway Nissan Service SCAMS. Last time i was in for a free lifetime oil and filter change i ask the service writer "Greg" what grade oil the mechanic put in my car, he told me that "we only use the 10-30 grade. I said that my 2008 Pontiac g6 2.4liter takes the 5-30 grade. So for many years of servicing my car never got 5-30 grade oil. also got suspicious that maybe the oil filter was not replaced all the times because i marked the filter cover and a few time the mark was on the same spot. Many times they tried to sell me this and that. Never had them touch my car for all those years i always said that maybe next time i come in i will do it. They want you to come in and try to sell work .(Brakes, wiper blades, cabin filters, air filters, brake fluid bleed ,wheel alignment, etc.." Get a written estimate and take your car and go to the nearest auto shop and get a second opinion. We are Consumers and they need our money. I remember one of the first times i went in for service "GREG" came in to the waiting room and told me that the oil drain bolt broke and he wanted me to pay for it. I said you serviced my car last time and maybe your mechanic used the Air gun to tighten it. I was right, the bolt was replaced at no charge. What a bunch of Crooks. More to come. Greg Bator was great at listening to my concerns on my 13 Altima, the Tech Josh serviced everything and then ask them to check out a noise I have heard for the past 10,000 miles which the other dealership didn't even want to show any respect and said we are done with your complaint. I went to Causeway Goddam and asked for help. I was delighted when a manager took a minute and re- checked my tires and assured me they were fine. We recently purchased a Nissan Murano from Causeway and were very satisfied with the whole experience. John Catalano, the salesperson who helped us, listened to what we were looking for and showed us only vehicles within our parameters not wasting our time. We are very happy with the vehicle. Ten minutes after leaving the lot we noticed something that we had missed previously, a small chip in the windshield that was spidering. Expecting an argument, I took pictures while preparing to drive back. John reassured us not to worry that the windshield will be replaced on the same day that they are adding the remote start and when our plates come in. The staff was friendly and very helpful. If I could rate them ZERO stars, I would. Several years back I was negotiating a pre-owned Murano, and they tried to sell me a 5 year old car with almost 100,000 miles for $5000 OVER the KBB price. When I pointed this out, the sale manager sneered "Kelly doesn't sell cars!" Right. I went to a dealership 20 miles away and bought a 4 year old Murano with only 40,000 miles with 4 brand new tires for $2000 under book, $7000 (!!!) UNDER the Causway quote. Being ripped off is bad enough, but being treat like an idiot on top of it? Just a month ago, my wife brought her Nissan there for her "free" oil change. She asked for a note confirming the VIN, or an odometer statement. The service staff were rude and unhelpful, and when we finally got to speak with the "sales manager", he not only stated he never heard of such a thing, but was offended that we would ask for such a thing when we didn't purchase the auto at that dealership. This in front of other service customers and the service staff. We left without the oil change, and will never ever go back. Just as an aside, I had 2 bad experiences with another of the Cause way dealerships over the past 4 years. This makes not one, not two, but THREE sales they lost. You could win from a $10 Target Gift card with an asterisk next to it that states "while supplies last" to a top prize of $2500. They give you a claim number and a number to call to claim your prize. I call and they ask me my claim number and I "have to prove who I am" by coming to the showroom and present my ID. I explained I will email them 'my winning letter" with my name on it and a utility bill . And of course "NO" they won't give me my prize as they have no idea what it is till I get there and claim it. I had previously purchased three vehicles within 16 months from Causeway Nissan and went back to them after I was involved in an accident and my car was totaled. I was dealing with the manager, Ken, who was extremely nasty and did his best to have me a buy a car that I didn't want. I didn't want a black car and I wanted a navigation system. Even after I told him numerous times of what I wanted, he kept pushing me to get the car that was on his lot.. When my husband told him that we were going to wait a few days to make sure of the amount we were getting from the insurance company, Ken tore up the paperwork from the deal and threw it in the garage. The manager Ken, is the most unprofessional person that I have ever dealt with. Once I signed on the dotted line, I was useless. I was issued a promissory note for the remaining part of my deposit dating 3 months from delivery day. I started to wonder when my plates would come in being that they were due to expire soon. So, I contact my salesman, who couldn't figure out why my plates weren't ready - he even thought, he called to tell me they were. Then suddenly it dawns on him that "new policy" states all money must be in house before they release the plates. I was never told that they would hold my plates hostage until I paid. What's the point of giving me time to pay if I have to drive my car illegally until I do - seems like a slip of the hand trick. So, I call the NJ Dept of Motor Vehicle and ask, DMV tells me it is illegal. A dealer is allowed 30 days and only 30 to provide motor vehicle plates, no exceptions. I share this with the manager, he says that's not true (shocking). So needless to say, I was told I could get an extension on my temps by the manager (Tuesday). I call back the next day (Wednesday) for the very extension he promised me and am suddenly told he can't do it because my plates and registration are complete, so I have no choice but to pay the money or drive on an expired temp. So, I pay (Thursday) and he overnights my plates. FedEx shows up with my plates, I am excited because I will finally be done. But to my shock and amazement, I am missing my inspection sticker. The girls one job is to submit and send plates, how do you forget that? Now I know you are thinking, well just use the one that's on the vehicle - there isn't one. So, to drive my car with my plates, I need an inspection sticker. So, me rushing to pay my deposit did me no good because I still must drive on an expired temp. I reach out to my salesman again and am basically told that it's no big deal and I should be fine - "cops shouldn't pull you over for that" - well thanks captain obvious, I thought you were a car salesman, not a law enforcement officer, but you must be undercover. Shockingly enough, once again the dealer is wrong because in the state of NJ your vehicle must be inspected if you have plates on - and if I get pulled over with an empty windshield, I am pretty sure the cop will notice. Oh and did I mention that my plates were not done before I paid, it was after. My registration date is the Thursday I paid, not the Wednesday he was supposed to extend me and said he couldn't because they were done. In conclusion, I was blackmailed, lied to and taken advantage of. No wonder they are one of the lowest grossing dealers in NJ. and don't get me started on my mom's purchase she bought a Hyundai and somehow has an extended warranty on an altima. And I was told the other day by the salesman - "well you don't think the company is going to take the hit on that and lose money" No Rod my 65 year old mother should take the hit instead. read more

I guess there is no zero star cause that's what I would have given the service dept. I took my Nissan Maxima in to find out why my dash blew out. It took a week for a diagnosis. I called every day and they never returned my calls. I finally went in there to see what was going on. They said it would take 10 days to get the part so I decided to take the car home til the part came in. When I came to pick the car up Greg wasn't there so I dealt with the guy next to him. He needs to go back and get some customer service training. He told me I had to pay for the radio. I told him I don't pay for a part that I don't have. He got pissed off and told the parts guy to call Bobby these people are trying to rip us off for a 600.00 radio. I wanted to jump over the desk and rip him a new ahole. How dare you accuse me of theft,in front of me no less. I never said I wasn't bringing the car back for the radio. You assumed that. I waited to talk to Bobby but of course he never came out. They didn't inspect my car when I first bought it from them and then when I needed my spare it was for a truck 2 times the size of mine they tell me oh you have to buy a new one?!?! Brought my wife's car in for regular scheduled service two weeks later returned to repair a fog light and informed the car needed breaks before leaving the lot. Service said they missed this two weeks before. Brought my car in for scheduled service the next week and informed my car needed breaks. Again asked why this was not noted before, said it was missed. Then I receive an email to take a survey from the General Sale Manager Corey Gellis about my visit. Figured I would call as stated on the e-mail survey. I now have left 3 messages for Mr Gellis over the past week or so and not one call back. Great customer care... NOT!!! Time to take my business else where! read more

Just signed a lease on a 2015 Rogue and could not be happier. When the wife and I went into the dealership, we were not sure if were going to buy out the current leased vehicle, lease a new car, or purchase a new car through the USAA car buying program which presets the purchase price. When we got there, they were going to honor the internet price with no problem, so no bait and switch there as another reviewer said they encountered. We decided to go into a new lease and found that we were already pre-approved for the lease with zero money down and at a great rate for 3 years. This was a 'no pressure' event. They answered all of our questions, they gave us an absolutely fair deal on the equity of our car which we applied against the lease. We will be back next year to switch out our other Nissan at this dealership, I know that they will treat us right. Be sure to talk with Dan McMahon there, he will treat you right. read more

THREE STRIKES... STRIKE ONE: I purchased my vehicle from Causeway Nissan a little over 3 years ago. I knew the exact options and vehicle I wanted (2013 Nissan Altima SV 2.5L) and after negotiating with several dealerships decided to purchase the vehicle here. The vehicle was not in stock so they would be transferring it from another dealership in VA. I signed the contract specifying the VIN # of this vehicle and it was supposedly scheduled to be delivered that Wednesday. Wednesday came and I did not hear from my salesman, tried to contact him several times Thursday and Friday but no return call? Saturday I went to the dealership to see why I have not received a phone call updating me with the status or my vehicle... The manager was able to get in contact with my salesman who stated the other dealership sold the car out from under me (even though I had a signed contract with that particular VIN). They said they would look to locate another Altima with those options. Monday, Nissan sent me a survey asking how I liked my new vehicle which I filled out negatively as can be expected. Monday night I received a call from Uly a sales manager at Causeway who worked quickly to locate me a different vehicle and provided me a new salesman to make the purchase through which went flawless. I received the car I wanted a couple days later. Uly has since left Causeway and hopefully moved on to bigger and better things. STRIKE TWO: About a year and a half ago I noticed my vehicle's interior becoming saturated. The seats, dash, roof liner were all dry but the carpet was receiving a decent amount of water. I took it to Causeway several times and they insisted it was the sunroof (which I hardly ever used). It continued to happen and I opened a claim up with Nissan. Nissan sent a Nissan Technical Specialist to work with Causeway since they were unable to find the root cause. He questioned why they continued to look into the sunroof if the roof lining showed no sign of water intrusion. They pulled the entire interior of my vehicle out and located the problem in the AC condenser hose. Nissan provided me with a new hose, bracket and carpet and the issue was finally resolved. I question the technical expertise of the technicians working on the vehicles at Causeway after this experience. STRIKE THREE: Two weeks ago with 72K miles on my vehicle the CVT transmission went. Causeway service technicians confirmed that this was indeed the CVT and it requires a replacement transmission. By purchasing this vehicle brand new from Causeway Nissan only 3 years ago, these were the types of problems I was trying to avoid. After a quick Google search I was able to find many other dissatisfied 2013 Nissan owners with CVTs issue and found that Nissan had even extended their CVT warranty on models before 2011 due to known defects which now covers issues experienced for 10 years - 120,000 miles. Greg the service representatives at Causeway recommended I open a claim with Nissan which I have already done and Nissan agreed to cover the cost of the parts but not the labor. They have suggested speaking with a Manager at Causeway in order to discuss labor costs. I have heard back from the manager (Tony) and he stated that I am responsible for the labor costs which are close to $1000. They also mentioned the repair would only come with a one year - 12,000 mile warranty and I am not eligible for any "Goodwill funding" because my vehicle has over 60,000 miles. The real kicker was the Causeway Service Reps were unsure if the replacement transmission contained any upgraded components from the discrepant transmissions currently experiencing problems in my vehicle. After buying two vehicles from Causeway within the past three years I would think that Causeway would also provide some type of assistance/lower rate for the labor costs. This is not the case and they will be charging the same hourly service rate on the failed product they sold me as they would for someone who purchased the car from another dealership coming in for work. I understand that they are not responsible for the design flaws but I am very disappointed with their customer loyalty especially to local repeat costumers. The salespeople appear very nice, say all the right things and then the next day say something different. It is very difficult to get touch with people and impossible to get a call back from management. I find it very interesting that after purchasing my car, I receive a form letter from owner stating love to hear from me to call or e-mail -David Jr. but no one would give me his number or e-mail and after leaving 5-6 voice mails have given up on receiving their help. I have purchased vehicles from this dealer before but never had these experiences Beware!! not sure if management or policies have changed or I just have been very unlucky to have deal with repeated promises and lack of communication read more

This dealer was horrible. I purchased a new car there and it was the worst imaginable experience. The salesman repeatedly gave false info both about the cars and the financing. The new car they delivered me was damaged and it was a battle to get it repaired properly. When I finally got to pick up my brand new car, a full week after I paid for it, there was trash in the back seat and all the radio stations were programmed to country music. The handoff process was non existent. The salesman handed me the key and said call if any questions. As I drove it home I was stunned that the car had different options than the salesman had told me. I tried reaching out to various levels of Causeway managers but not a single one got back to me. It got even worse when they damaged the car again putting on the plates and I again had issues getting management to address. This is my sixth year with Causeway Nissan.I admit we stared on the wrong foot,but after addressing the problem, they corrected it.Since then I have ,had wonderful experiences with them. Their service is courteous and friendly. They always make me feel at home. read more

The men at Causeway Nissan have always treated me with respect, do not talk down to me and explain what is wrong and what my options are for repair or "forget it for now". Although I have an Infiniti, I selected this repair shop because the Nissan is so similar to the Infiniti I thought they would have mechanics who would know my car and that has been generally true. Parts usually have to be ordered, but are in their shop in a couple of days. So far so good. Keep up the good work Causeway Nissan repair shop. read more

brought car in due to recall on Sentra. they were vague in regard to recall in general. I tried to get a loaner car, which is advertised all over the Nissan website, "free loaner and free shuttle service. I had to deal with Causeway chevy to get a loaner, who indicated they would only give loaner for the time Nissan had the car. I guess they felt I should leave work and return the loaner when car was done 3 1/2 hours later. They did not explain exactly what they were doing, only that it was a re-programming.
