The indian girl that made my food gave me very little portions, (complete waste of money), she even charged me extra for a SINGLE SCOOP OF TZATZIKI!! This was my first time trying Cava, I've never been to any locations before. I was so excited to try it. I walked in, nobody greeted me or said hello, how can I help you, no one said anything to me. It was like I didn't exist to the workers. I stood there waiting for service for 5 mins until I literally asked are you guys open?! They didn't want to be bothered. I love Cava. But this location drives me crazy. Over and over, I purchase online, show up at the designated time, then wait another 10-15 minutes in store. I suppose I should learn that I should just order in store, but I like online ordering because it saves my favorites. And it SHOULD be a time saver, but never is. (And why do they always include utensils when I indicate no utensils?) read more

To be fair this was my first time inside of any CAVA... I must admit .. I ALWAYS look at an establishments health grade I don't really question too much if it's 94.5 and higher and I do believe theirs was a 98 or a 99. With that said .. the booths/tables could have wiped down. Food still on seats .. and I asked for bottled water (flat) all they had was sparkling.. they pointed us to wear their fountain drinks were which every knows you get "free tap water " over there . OR you're suppose to. My husband and I had nasty tonic type water . They're was no flat water option . I person who took my order was very kind could not understand NOR speak English that well AT all. We were more Playing the "pointing game ". That was quite unnerving. I will say all of that above aside my salad and red pepper hummus WAS absolutely 4.5 stars and I will go back. read more

This was our first time at this location after two lackluster visits at the Providence Farms location. The Cava concept is great; it's the execution that is lacking. As was the case with both locations, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. After greeting us with a scowl, the lady who took our order continued her nastiness to the point of not even thanking us for our patronage. In fact, she never even made eye contact. The food itself was good, but the chicken was lukewarm (yuck!) I'm not going to waste any more time on this review. As much as I want to like this place, I'm done! read more

It was a meh experience. I liked that they had the cards to confirm they were prepping the pita correctly kinda. Didn't stop them from missing the tzatziki. So my pita was hummus and very spicy to my palate chicken. It was clean. It was 730 so pretty empty. The line assemblers were nice enough and were actually helpful since it was the first time there. The food is delicious, so there are no complaints there! However the service is sub-par. Most of the employees are high schoolers who can't even hold a conversation with a brick wall. Let alone count money. Do yourself a favor and think twice about paying cash here. None of them know how to give change. Maybe this review is better suited for the education system? But still. Stopped in to grab a quick to go build your own bowl. The staff was super friendly and my bowl was built perfectly. I chose the grains and greens with half grilled vegetables and half chicken. I could eat this bowl daily! So good! I wish there was a Cava location closer to my home, but I enjoy stopping in when I can. They also offer a generous military discount. read more

The entire staff tonight appeared to be in a bad mood. Zero greeting from anyone when I walked in, I stood at the counter for 5 minutes before being acknowledged or helped and there was nobody in line in front of me. The girl walks up and doesn't say a word, just looks at me and waits for me to order. Didn't say a word to me. I walked in the restaurant around 8:50ish, and they do not close until 9pm. It was a completely strange and off putting experience. We have spent a LOT of money on Cava and this singular experience tonight left me not wanting to ever come back. If you are looking for an healthy alternative, this place is it. This was my first time trying tonight and this restaurant did not disappoint. I created my own bowl. It was very savory and delicious! I've been going to Cava for a while now, and I absolutely love their twist on Mediterranean food, so I am probably biased when it comes to the chain and what they have to offer food wise. This location however, has been by far the best one I have been to in the CLT area. The staff was absolutely amazing everyone was hyped and in a good mood, mind you this was at 9:30PM, only a half an hour before they closed. I've done this late night run multiple times, and though the service was good, it wasn't as great as it was today. Usually, closer to closing hours, it's harder to get good portions because everything has been picked off, tonight I was proven wrong and given generous portions of every single item picked for our bowls, and even when they were almost running out of pickled onions, they were kind enough to get more in the back. I know it sounds extremely silly, but sometimes when you've had a long day and all you'd like is to pick up the food you love and not only have it be done right, but with love, it's just amazing. I appreciate this Cava team for making the little things happen, and for making my night! Definitely returning!! read more

My family and I have eaten at this location multiple times, with good expectations all around. But today, we arrived when they opened at 11:00 and have never been so disappointed. The food bar was only approx 60% set up. they had no steak available and had to be prepared, they only had six toppings available! I asked for some onions and was told they wouldn't have any for an hour as they had to cool prior to serving! They had no tea available until 11:40! I asked who the manager was and why they had opened for business, when they were not actually ready to serve their customers! The employees were nice but lost, as it is the managers responsibility to make sure all is well prior to opening! Our last visit was ok but not great, and today was much worse. Unfortunately, we will not be revisiting CAVA anytime in the future. read more

This is without a singular doubt the absolute worst cava location I have ever been to. You never see the same staff member twice, which means they are constantly training new staff. The restaurant is always out of something or waiting for a certain item to be made, so even if I am the only person in line it turns into a twenty minute visit. I absolutely love cava itself but I will no longer be returning to this location. During my last visit, they were out of at least one type of protein, 3 sauces, and 4 toppings. After waiting 15 minutes in line, I was informed of this without any apology by staff. This all took place at 7:30pm on a weekday, so I understand being out of something things, but food should actively be made in response to demand. I could honestly probably overlook many of these things, but the food quality is always subpar, and the portions are tiny likely due to the fact that the kitchen can never keep up with the demand. I swear this place has me, and all of Charlotte, in a major chokehold lol ! The best way to explain this place is that it's a Mediterranean version of Chiptole and it hits every time !! There aren't many healthy food options that stay open late and I am thankful that they don't close until 10pm !! . Every time I try to give this Cava location a second chance it back fires. The staff have obviously not been trained properly as every other location is a million times better. I'd never eat inside of this place. You will always pay for things that you don't wind up getting and extremely rude. Go to another location for the good food that Cava does make. read more

Glad that they are part of the neighborhood. Staff are friendly and very welcoming. The place is well lit and has various healthy Mediterranean options. I came on opening day and a few times after that. I have made my own bowel did the hot honey pita, lamb, etc. They are consistent with customer service however their restrooms could use some love and care. The food is delicious so far I haven't had anything I don't like. The drinks are good but rather on the sweet end in for my tastebuds. Nice staple to the community. Glad they are here.
