I have been to this location a few times now and have never received good service. The last time I went (last time I will ever go) was the worst service yet. This was during busy hours so i understand that it can get a little hectic. Starting from asking which rice I want to which dressings I want was a complete mess. Firstly, I was rushed for each section of my bowl, secondly, I didn't even get a chance to order my protein that I wanted, when one of the employees just gave everyone in line Chicken. While this was going on people in the back were arguing and I couldn't understand or communicate anything to the employee asking what I want for toppings. The whole time I was there the employees made it feel like the people ordering were in the wrong for asking what we want if they got it wrong. If you want to go there for good food (for the most part) and don't care about bad service then Cava off Park rd is the spot to go. read more

Ordered Cava online due to the Rona virus so I cant speak on ordering inside, just through delivery. Delivery came fast with the correct order. Got a half grain, half lettuce bowl and just started picking toppings like I was in a freaking for yo shop. I believe I had a few types of hummus, tzatziki, various veggies, tahini sauce and feta. My protein was falafel and lamb meatballs. The lamb was the winner! I tried to keep the bowl all nice and neat but it was just so much tastier all mixed together! Delicious food but I do not recommend ordering online. It's never ready on time - the first time I ordered from here it was ready 10 minutes after pick up time. Tonight it was ready 25 minutes after pick up time. After several visits it is time for a review. I have been here for lunch on each visit, generally just after 11:00. There is plenty of seating at that time and no line, but by 12:00 it can be packed. Given the number of great options in the area, the crowd is a great sight. The green and grain bowl is my go to option. After adding chicken and falafel, hummus, and some veggies you have an excellent lunch. The portions are perfect and the food is always well prepared. This is my preferred option when I am looking for something healthy and filling while not being hit with terrible prices. read more

I have given this restaurant so many chances. About 50% of the time they just don't have the food you ordered. I'm talking about the bare essentials like chicken or falafel. If you order through their app, just prepared to get there and find out that one of more of the key ingredients is not available and they have no plans to make any more of it. I don't know how they run a business here. The last time it happened, I told them to refund my money and of course they can't. So they tell me to go to a website and request it. The website doesn't exist, which I point out to the person so I figure out it is an email. Two weeks have gone by, no one has responded to my email, no one has refunded my money. It took me longer to build my bowl than the average person because I had never been before, and you would have thought I was taking until Christmas with their annoyance. Hailing from Potomac, MD I was THRILLED when I found out my favorite neighborhood greek restaurant would be opening one of their fast casual grill concepts here in Charlotte! The people that work at this location are always friendly and ingredients are always fresh. My order is fairly consist, I always get the super greens (a mix of kale and shaved brussel sprouts), lentils, and brown rice. At this point they also ask you if you want a warm mini pita (I'm gluten free ... but if you aren't... they are good). Then you add on three dips: hummus, eggplant and red pepper, and tzatziki. Then you choose your protein I used to always get falafel, but sadly they are binded with a gluten so I've switched to the seasonal roasted veggies. Then you get to add all the toppings: I get extra red cabbage, tomatoes and cucumber, kalamata olives, and feta. I crave this all. the. time. I'm there pretty regularly! I first fell in love with CAVA in DC when my daughter was in school. I was very happy when they came to Charlotte. I recently visited CAVA with a friend, who was new to CAVA but not the concept. One team member told my friend she reminded him of his grandmother and we knew this was going to be a good lunch. After a little conversation I mentioned it was my birthday, which was the reason for our visit and they covered us for lunch. This was truly a blessing. This place has plenty of customization options. As much as I appreciate that, I wish it also had a few menu options that were not completely build-from-scratch. The whole experience was rather overwhelming. As far as food quality goes. It's pretty good, but not great. Yafo is better. read more

Very excited to see a CAVA in the area, as I've only been to them once before. Ordered online and had no problems, but I'd say it's a bit clunky doing so. They substitute words for pictures of the items on a premade bowl you can click on, so extra steps. Food was good, would recommend to anyone. read more

After my third visit to Cava, I am more than confident that Cava is my favorite eatery outside the Charlotte area! The food is always extremely fresh and the service is exceptional. I love the many options ranging from a mini pita to a huge salad, all of which are accented with a plethora of yummy toppings. The servers, especially Demonte (I believe this is his name), are gracious with giving me and my friends as few or many toppings as we request, along with really great recommendations! I also love the seasonal part of the menu that changes. It offers different vegetables, such as butternut squash and brussel sprouts offered this winter, which makes Cava vegan, whole30 and keto friendly. This is my third experience with CAVA. I can tell you everytime I have enjoyed it. There are plenty of choices for people of all ages. So far I have gone with the grain bowls (rice and other bases you can choose from), and a pita wrap. The bowls are great when you get some pita on the side and make it a dip and bread combo. Yesterday I did the pita wrap with falafel. I Threw some cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers in there, also I added a couple of hummus flavors and I had the lady who made my pita at the end choose the dressing. I think it was a lemon one....And boom, amazing. The people at the park road location had to deal with grand opening crowds and absolutely crushed it. They gave each person a separate experience and made the time we waited well worth it. I would choose this place over a YAFO if I wanted a meal any day. So I came to this location for their grand opening and it was great but that is to be expected with everyone being new and corporate being there. Since then I've been back 3 times, two of the times were meh just due to lack of friendliness and it being more of a get in get out experience. This last time on Sunday made this my last time coming to this location, I will just go to the University location when I'm on that side even though this is closer to me. On Sunday upon walking in I was greeted this time by a worker wiping down tables. I went to the counter to start my order, the employee for the line was chatting with the cashier and slowing came over. I started my order and when I got to protein I asked to verify if I got half braised lamb & half lamb meatballs would u be charged $1.45 twice. He started no. I also remember someone asking the day of the opening but just wanted to me sure I usually just get one of them but wanted both this time. When I got to the register the cashier wasn't they so he rang me up. When I seen my receipt I seen I was charged twice & asked about it. He responded oh guess I was wrong, the cashier was walking back up & he asked her & she said yep that's how it's charged. They said they would get a manger after going back & forth but I was in a rush. When I got in the car I decided to call & asked for the manager, when she got in the phone she talked fast with an attitude that I couldn't get her name. I proceed to say hello like 6 times because the phone got silent (I'm assuming she muted the phone to talk to the employees). She got back on the phone and said hello again very rudely. At this point I'm over it so I just ask about the charge and she responded yep that's how it's rung up and then proceed to hang up. So I decided to call the university location and they confirmed it should be only one charge. And I also tried it online and you only get charged once as well. Either they like overcharging customers or they don't own up to simple mistakes either way they won't get my money again. read more

A new location for CAVA at the Park Road Shopping Center make it a convenient locale for some 'healthy' Mediterranean! It's got some different options than the nearby growing competitors of Yafo, but I found that I prefer the flavors of Yafo as well as the serving size for the similar price of a bowl. The service here is always helpful, but it does get crowded quickly as there aren't much indoor seating spaces during peak times. However, it is fast casual so tables open up pretty quickly. The drinks/juice options at CAVA were very tasty and not overly sweet! read more

Cava-Park Rd does not disappoint! I had a green/grains bowl with chicken seasonal vegetables! I topped it with "crazy feta", feta crumbles, red pepper hummus, tzatziki sauce, and other things! The drink options were quite tasty. I recommend mixing the cucumber lime and the blueberry lavender teas! The price for the amount of food is quite fair! Went to Cava on Park Road tonight, and was just there two nights ago. Really wanted to stress how much better this restaurant is than people give them credit for. People only like to leave reviews when they have a bad time, and forget to leave reviews about the good ones. I've seen them at their worst, and they've come so far from their worst. People are actually TRYING now. My food was delicious again, and I'll be back soon! When picking up my online order, they had an order that must've been at least 20 different bowls. They gave me a drink and worked on my order immediately, in the middle of the giant order. I think the person who helped me out was Tesha. Everything was amazing! Fast. Fresh. Fair. I'm had to please when it comes to fast - Mediterranean food. The flavor has to be present, the presentation has to be colorful, and the food needs to remain fresh and savory even though it's fast-casual. Cava was a little messy when we went in. It was late in the evening and I'm sure they had just come off a dinner rush, but it could have been swept or tidied up a bit. The service was great. I was excited to try this new spot and had the highest hopes it would hold a candle to similar local fast-casual spots. My food was good, not great. I didn't leave craving more of anything specific - I'll give it another try because the harissa was very tasty and the falafel was different from the norm! I'd vote this as a great lunch spot. I understand places are understaffed, but there was ZERO sense of urgency with a busy line and people waiting for pick up. All three employees were moving at a literal snail pace and everyone was very irritated.
