I came to CAVA for their free grand opening . Upon entering everyone was really friendly and enthusiastic. The line was super long but it was about 7pm and a free dinner so a little line was ok. I was overwhelmed with the options and I felt pressured to choose what I wanted . It was all in my head not by the employees. I'm really basic when it comes to food so I don't think I took advantage of all the different options and flavors. Nonetheless, I did enjoy my chicken bowl and the spicy hummus was delicious !!! I did get a few sauces on the side because I was scared to mix it all in and not like it . The mixed veggies had a funny taste so I'm positive I didn't like them. I frequently come to CAVA and have had different experiences with the service and managers i will tell you whoever the mgr (medium height handsome fella) that was there yesterday is on his job and he is not playing.. Don't bother ordering online during peak hours unless you order an hour ahead as ASAP intentionally. They address all in-person orders first and then as the line ends, they fulfill most online orders. If you're lucky, they fulfill a couple (2-3) online ones during a long line. It's faster ordering when you arrive to the restaurant vs prior - what's the point of online ordering ahead if it's significantly much slower? Online orders have taken approx. 45 - 55 minutes (not "ASAP - 15 mins") to complete after paying on many occasions. In-person ordering is 15 mins. Food is fine, service is struggling - management should work on optimizing the store's operations and increasing staff during certain hours - I don't blame the kitchen staff (they are sincerely trying and exhausted) but upper management seems absent since this has been lagging for a long time this year. Other restaurants fare better during peak hours so I'll be taking that option after giving Cava so many chances. read more

Today wasn't one of their good days. Corn was missing the "roasting" and the sauce that it's normally in, they were out of toppings, rice was too cold. I arrived to CAVA at 7:15 PM and my order was not ready (promised time was 7:15pm). The worker at the counter told me it would be up shortly. One worker was making rice, which I assume caused the delay. Once the rice was finished, the worker at the counter proceeded to start with one order. The order was for a customer that arrived before me. She then proceeded to make another order for somebody that arrived after me. Three customers walked in and went to the counter and got served by another worker before the to go orders were finished. By the time the worker got to my order, they ran out of chicken. My order, along with another customer's order had to be canceled because of this issue. The store was unable to process a refund and said we needed to contact the company to refund our order. This was very annoying. There was no reason the other workers that were there could not help make to go orders before walk in customers were served. Left the location at 7:27pm. read more

I do appreciate seeing more pay at the counter type places pop up because I want more of these options as it makes quick dinners and takeout much more acceptable, accessible and cheaper especially for singles. I thought the quality of ingredients here was good not great and the spices used were not my favorite but I prefer Greek over middle eastern so this could be the case even though both styles are similar. This review is not about the food, it is about the preparation. This is the second visit for take out, and the second time they have shorted my wife's order. We picked up a couple of bowls a week or so ago and the food was actually pretty good, but my wife noticed her bowl was short the requested roasted corn, not a big deal, but it didn't make a good first impression especially since my order contained roasted corn indicating they were not out. My wife had to work late tonight, so I suggested we revisit CAVA. We placed our order on line and it was ready within ten minutes. When we placed our order tonight, I told the misses that the eggplant and red pepper dip was pretty good, so she added it to her order. When we got the grub home, the first thing I noticed is there was only one cup of dressing and it wasn't the yogurt dill that my wife ordered. I'm pleased to report that my wife's order had the roasted corn, but was short the eggplant red pepper dip. Somehow I get the impression that if I continue to patronize this establishment, at this rate, eventually I'll be paying $10 for an empty bowl. We used to comment that the Taco Bell around the corner from CAVA would NEVER get the orders right, but a visit last night at that restaurant had 100% accuracy, so it appears it is up to CAVA to firmly establish itself as the new king of shorting customers orders in the Park Road Shopping Center area! I ate at CAVA in NJ all the time and always had my bowl filled perfectly(Full Bowl). While bowls at this location are filled "Half Way", for some reasons employees here will give you only one tea spoon in any toppings you ask. What is with this saving, I wonder if they are being pressured by the management. It makes one feel uncomfortable having to ask for more for each filling. Employees should know better than leaving bowls half way empty. For the amount of money customers are paying, they shouldn't leave on an empty stomach. read more

Great option for fully customized Mediterranean wraps and bowls. There's plenty of vegetarian options, as well as a full list of dietary compatibility for each item right on the menus which is very convenient. They also have a good selection of special juices, teas, and custom sodas. (Blueberry soda anyone? Yes, it's a thing here.) They were super helpful as it was our first time and willing to let us try pretty much any item or sauce we wanted before making our selections. It's a decent price as long as you maximize your bowl with their unlimited toppings. I wish they offered a few "crafted" (pre-designed) menu options too (for a change of pace from your norm or for those overwhelmed by too many choices), but all said and done, we were very happy with it and definitely would be happy to return. read more
