Parking: free parking but this plaza gets really busy during the weekend/any holidays. There is technically a parking structure near the Trader Joe's that's shaded but it's about a 5 mins walk to cava Service: usually decently fast like chipotle. I did get stuck in a 26 min line once though. So it really is a hit or miss. However, getting a table is pretty difficult when it's busy. I had a pretty disappointing experience at the Cava in Chino Hills. They opened nearly 10 minutes late, which was frustrating right off the bat, especially since several customers were already waiting. Once inside, things didn't improve much. I tried to order one of the new bowls they've been advertising, on their window as you enter, but the employee I spoke with had no idea what I was referring to and didn't offer any help or clarification. It felt like there was a lack of communication and training, which made the whole process more frustrating than it should have been. I genuinely feel misled by CAVA--and not in a small way. The biggest problem isn't just the taste (which was mediocre at best), it's how drastically the portion size fails to match what's advertised on their website. The photos show a full, abundant bowl--layered, colorful, and packed to the brim. What I got looked like a sad imitation. The bowl was barely filled, with noticeable empty space, and everything felt skimpy. A thin layer of rice, a few scattered pieces of protein, and toppings that looked like they were rationed out one pinch at a time. It honestly felt like I paid for a full meal and got a half portion. That disconnect between expectation and reality is frustrating. If you're going to market your food as hearty and generous, the actual product should reflect that. This wasn't just slightly off--it was noticeably smaller and felt intentionally minimized. On top of that, the lack of portion made everything else worse. Because there's so little of each ingredient, the bowl feels unbalanced and unsatisfying. You don't get the combination of flavors they promise--you just get bites of emptiness in between. For the price point, this is unacceptable. It comes across as misleading advertising more than anything else. I walked in expecting a full, satisfying meal and left feeling like I'd been shortchanged. Would not recommend--especially if you're going in based on what you see online. read more

ABOVE AND BEYOND SERVICE. I had a large order for a lunch, 16 meals. We had done everything we could to order online, but the order would not take any of our three cards. I got to the location and the Manager, ANDREW, was responsive immediately, running me through trying on the app, and all their standard options. Mind you, this was at the beginning of their lunch rush - and he was building bowls with all the staff. When the app wouldn't take the cards, Andrew personally stepped in and made each of my meals. This is not something they normally do, or are equipped to do, especially during a lunch rush. Their team helped out when there was a lull in the rush, and LILY at the register, crushed through this order so fast and were so accommodating. The card ran without a problem in person and I was away in time to get the food to the lunch. My only note would be to corporate, to build some manner of system to put a large order in at the restaurant and pay in person. But this system and its management is superb. First time at this location but not new to the chain. Ingredients are super fresh in any meal item you get. We ordered the chicken bowl today and it was so flavorful. The crispy pita on the side is the best. The side sauces are always on point too. The main let-down was that there was barely any hummus in the bowl. Considering this is Mediterranean food, any meal should be screaming with hummus. Hopefully this will be better next time. I had a great first experience at this CAVA. I didn't know a "chipotle" like experience with Mediterranean Food Exists. In a way I feel like there is more value at this place, and more choices in general. You can order pre selected menu items or you can build your own bowl. It can be a bit overwhelming and to be honest still overwhelming each time. Once you have tried the different sauces, sides, etc. it will all be a lot easier. Plus they have a great selection of drinks as well. This place was clean and the food was really good. I tried the Steak Salad, but I realized that I would like the build your own better. For just a bit cheaper you can load it with how you want it. The Sapphire rice was really good, and the red hummus was good as well. I like that you can add all of the toppings, as well as additional dressings. They also have a kids meal, where you can order a few sides which I think is a pretty good deal. This place was nice enough to make sure they give or place certain food or sauces a certain way, without just slapping everything on like another location did. I had never been to CAVA before but it was recommended to me by a friend!!! If you have been to Chipotle and like the concept of standing there and picking what you want in a bowl, salad or wrap with a middle eastern kick to it, you will love CAVA!!! Don't forget to try their flavored ice teas too! I tried all of them since I dined in and there were free refills... The food was very fresh and the service was good however I'm deducting a star because there were a lot of empty tables but all of them were dirty and I had to clean my own table... It's worth noting when I was leaving an employee started to clean the tables even though it should have been done sooner since they weren't even that busy when I was there, and there were tons of empty tables but all of them were dirty!! I had their chicken and it was very flavorful...I look forward to trying more options in the near future!! Plenty of free parking since they are a part of the Shoppes in Chino Hills... read more

What's worse is that she's training this guy, who was really nice (pls stay that way and don't be like Gianna). Rating is based on our visit last Sunday 3/16/25 around 5ishpm: Pros: - Thumbs up on the chicken right rice bowl. Tasty and filling, it was the perfect size for dinner - 5/5 - Separate order of Pita chips, were on the greasy side - 2/5 - Refreshing Cucumber mint drink - 5/5 CONS: - Tables were sticky and dirty. Servers don't bother to wipe and clean up. We had to flag someone to clean a table for us and it took about 10 mins - 2/5 - Ice on the icemaker machine was full to the max. Kinda hard to get drinks when the icemaker is filled with crushed ice everywhere, making it look like a dumping ground. Servers need to check/clean up the area. It looks really bad! - Women's restrooms are disgustingly dirty. Trash bin is overflowing and doesn't get emptied! I realize people get busy serving the dining patrons, but please don't forget to check and clean-up the restrooms; throw away the piled-up trash. Without dining patrons giving you the business, you wouldn't be there in the first place. Don't know if we'll come back to eat here. Today I visited the Cava location in Chino Hills and was extremely disappointed with the customer service. I want to be clear that this is not a reflection of Cava as a franchise--I've had great experiences at other locations--but this specific store fell far short. My mom was with me, and it was her first time at Cava. She wasn't familiar with how the ordering process works, and the employees offered little to no guidance. As we moved down the line, they didn't explain the available options or help her understand her choices, which made the experience frustrating rather than welcoming. On top of that, when we selected our sides, one employee gave us barely a spoonful, which felt careless and dismissive. Overall, the service was unhelpful and disappointing. I hope management sees this review and takes steps to better train and guide the employees, especially when assisting first-time customers. read more
