Do they try on purpose to make the part where you pick the toppings as slow as possible? Why are only two people working the line ? CAVA is one of my new go-tos! Four stars because I ordered today and they forgot my side pita and I didn't realize til I got home. Also, while I was waiting for them to bring out my order I noticed that a couple of the empty tables were really dirty from previous guests. That being said, I don't have any other negative things to say about CAVA. All the ingredients are super fresh and they definitely don't skimp on anything. Want more of a topping? Just ask and they will give you another scoop. My bowls are always packed to the top when I come here, enough for two meals. Cava was a delicious "healthier" lunch option. I was in the area and wanted something healthier, quick, and with outdoor seating. Cava delivered all 3. It's similar to Garbanzo but with a more streamlined menu like chipotle. So definitely fast casual. They have a few pre made menu options and then you can build your own. I tried the tahini Caesar and my husband got the lamb nachos. We were both very impressed with the giant portions as well as the fresh ingredients. The food is really good so that would be 5 stars... but man, the service is really lacking. There's always ingredients missing no matter how early you go. Every time I go I feel like they're always scraping the last bits of the containers to fill half a spoon and think that's enough of a topping. The last two times I literally asked, "is there not more in the back?" to which I get a blank stare, and then they finally go to the back and get another container full. I can't tell if this restaurant is dealing with a supply shortage of food in the back; if they're being told to be stingy intentionally; if they're just not properly trained; if they're too lazy to do it the right way; or what, but I hope they figure it out soon. read more

Manager "Ms Tips" was wasted beyond belief yesterday working here. Couldn't even stand up. She made me repeat my number no less than 15 times then I had to punch it in myself. At checkout she grabbed my hand with her food gloves on and said "I drank too much over at the korean chicken place". You could tell the employees didn't even know what to do. Every SINGLE time i've been here its a nightmare. Last two times I came before close and the cash register was already closed and all the food was put away by 9:40 (This happened twice). The last time it was shut down early the staff had to go find "ms tips" and I don't know where she was but it took 15 mins for her to get to the register and I stood there. It took a minute for our food but it was so worth it! Cava offers Mediterranean food, but with its own unique flavor. I love Mediterranean food, and I usually get chicken salads with pita. I tried a half and half pita with chicken and meatballs. I'm very picky about my meatballs and these were perfect. Where I would usually get pepperoncinis, I instead got Fresno chilies which gave a nice kick to my meal. The tatziki balanced out the harissa really well. For a quick serve meal, this is absolutely one of my new go to's! read more

Yikes. Love the food but damn. This location is a hot mess. The tables/floors were very dirty. The countertop where you order looked like a tornado ran through it. I went to cava yesterday for the second time. I was helped by malachi who was amazing! He went above and beyond to make sure I requested and went to the back to grab things that they didn't have. Which was a difference from the first time around where they would say they were out but as I moved down the line they brought more dips out. Let me start by saying I love Cava. It is my go too when I am hungry and craving something healthy and delicious. I will say I usually go to the 9th ave location and do seem to like that one better. They were a bit sparse with the chicken and sauces here. I got my garlic sauce and Skhug on the side so it didn't get soggy and the little to go cup was barely half way full. The chicken was also meh; I think that's maybe why they covered the bowl with lettuce so you couldn't see what was in there lol. The food here is great; flavorful and fresh. I've had a pita sandwich with falafel and a salad with falafel. They have an interesting variety of sauces, dips, dressings:.. I've had the harissa yogurt which was awesome (just pleasantly spicy), the eggplant + red peppers dip, skhug (herby, with a little warmth, slightly bitter), and the pickled onions are very sweet which is a nice contrast with much of the salty ingredients. What I like most is the falafel isn't gritty and crumbly; it has a nice texture with some chickpeas still in the mix but not too dry. I'm docking a star just cause I find their app to be super confusing in terms of pickup/curbside. I'd like to see that be easier to navigate. But food is good! read more
