Absolutely dissatisfied with Cava's service tonight. I ordered on the app to pick up my order through their window. When I got there no one came to the window for 5 minutes. When they did the took my name and took another 5 minutes to get it. The lady at the window handed me a bag and said " thank you and have a good night." I told her she didn't hand me the kids drink... she seemed confused. I said it was on the order. While she got the drink I checked my bag and it was missing the pita chips I ordered. When she opened the window again I told her the chips are missing. She responded by saying we are out. I said I understand but I paid for them. She then shut the window. Came back a minute later and said " we just made some more and handed me a bag. When we got home our bowls were missing half the items. They screwed up everything they could have and didn't even apologize for their mistakes. read more

First and last time here. If the person you see and give order to is that rude and unwilling to say hello then raise her voice at me because I ordered a grains bowl but preferred beans to lentils, and also because I didn't understand lettuce was first item to go in said bowl. I had previously written my order down from perusing online menu not having been in before, standing in a socially distanced line next to an empty slot where menus should have been once inside, not near enough counter to physically see. Yes, I had a couple questions. No, you were not busy. No, you will not see me there again. Delicious food. We can't get enough! I always call ahead for my orders as I know the lines are long after work. The shredded beef is amazing and the pita with falafel was next level. I love that I can completely customize my order. Even my dad that hates everything that isn't a burger, lovesssss Cava. HOWEVER.... I ordered chicken for the first time today and it was awful. It was COVERED in fat, veins, and tendons and the majority of it was inedible. Won't be ordering chicken again. They just opened so I'm chalking it up as a bad day. The new management team at the store sucks... hygiene issues, incorrect orders, overcharging orders and a truly fucked up drive through line that is way more hassle than its worth. Have just started driving to Gaithersburg to get cava now. Hope this place gets better in the future. read more

Fantastic place for Mediterranean. I got the Greens + Grains bowl with Braised Beef and it was fantastic. Tons of delicious, fresh toppings for the bowl along with really great hummus and tzatziki sauce. I could not have been more pleased! Frederick really needed a place like this! read more

Really good food, love the design and decor on the inside. the upstairs area is cool too. My only reason for the 2 stars was because one employee was extremely rude to me. The line workers and cashier were polite, but the first person to greet me was very loud and rude and seemed like she didn't want to help me, like I was a burden or something. Her name was Meghan as I saw on her name tag. It was my first time there and I was still trying to figure out what I wanted, and she was rushing me. As someone who has worked in customer service I know how wrong this is. I hope management sees this and that they talk to her to fix her attitude. read more

Cava is good but the staff here are awful. I came after putting in an online order and did pick up through drive thru. I arrived at the time that my food was supposedly going to be ready. I thought oh this will be quick there's not anybody inside the restaurant and while the drive thru is long it should go quick. It took 15 minutes for me to get up to the window. Then the gal at the window stated they had not even started my order and asked me to pull forward. Thinking that this would be quick because of the lack of business inside the restaurant I obliged. Well if we fast forward another 15 minutes they finally come out with my food. As I stated the chain is great but they do not know how to pick the right employees. read more

I love Cava, so was happy to see them open up in Frederick. The location here is new, so seems like they're still trying to figure things out. It was very busy when I went and the line was almost out the door. There is limited seating inside, and there were no open tables so we had to sit outside despite it being pretty hot out. Food was great, pretty much what I expect from Cava. Pita chips are amazing, and the juice selection is great. Give them a try! read more

Wow, if you haven't tried to CAVA yet, you really need to try one! It's set up very similar to a Chipotle, or you can order what you want and they make it in front of you so you know what you're getting. I'm not familiar with a lot of this type of food, but I sure enjoyed some real flavorful greens and grains topped with chicken and beef meatballs. Try the crazy feta topping! would give zero stars but not an option . i am very disappointed in the resturant and some of the customers. the food was not that great . if i could i would have returned it but i drove to far that . a friend , that went to the resturant to day an was verbally assulted by another person stating " i hope you choke on you food" . this person did not know my friend. he just went up to my friend and looked him in the face a made his statment . we were unaware of any problme that was going on . people like this is the reason why i wont come back . read more

Cava is my favorite chain as I am a vegetarian and it offers many options. I eat at Cava weekly so I consider myself pretty well versed on the menu. When the Frederick location opened, I went and the food was top notch. No complaints, friendly staff, tasty food so I decided to return last Friday. Yeah it was a completely different experience. The Harissa I have no idea who made that but it was so spicy it almost rendered the food inedible. It was not prepared correctly. I know this because I love spicy Harissa and get it every single time I go to Cava but this was not the same staple Harissa I became accustomed too. On top of that the lentils were raw and inedible. Super hard. Where is the quality control? You mean to tell me not ONE PERSON even tried the lentils? So basically I had to throw my dinner away and I was extremely disappointed. And to add in, it truly upsets me when no roasted vegetables are ready, they asked me to wait 15 minutes or settle for the bottom of the barrel from the drive through line side that just consisted of carrots. On a positive note, the establishment was clean, The falafel was very tasty and very well made and the mint was fresh which I appreciate. All of the staff both times I have visited were extremely nice,helpful, and friendly. I'll try back in a month or two to see if they have improved. Wow. CAVA has been my fave for the last four years so naturally I was so excited about this new location near my home. However, this is the third time the food hasn't been that great. I'm used to another location closer to DC that is consistent with their food. Tonight, the spicy lamb tasted awful and looked burnt. It was almost sweet and didn't taste spicy or like lamb.The flatbread tasted stale too. Maybe it was just the time of day. read more

I'd never had Cava until it opened in Frederick and I have ordered everyday since they opened. It's so amazing and the pick up service is nice but every time i've ordered they forget something. Impeccably clean, excellent customer service, food is AMAZING. We've eaten here a hand full of times since they opened. Stopped in on a Wednesday evening for a late, healthy, dinner for my starving swimmer. The restaurant is spotless (including the bathroom). The staff is friendly and cheerful. While ordering our food we talked with: Krystal, Josh, Natalia and the manager Edward. The customer service is exemplary. We ordered greens and grain bowls and the quality and taste of every ingredient is superb. I can not give this restaurant higher praise. So happy to have CAVA in Frederick! read more

The food is fresh and served chipotle style. You walk up to the counter and choose from a wide variety of healthy food options starting with rice, greens, or a combo of both and then layer things on top. When you are done, you will likely have had a surprisingly filling and healthy meal and feeling pretty good about not filling up with that greasy burger or fried chicken place down the street. read more

they fill up the bowls to the top, which I really appreciate because other locations are very stingy with the ingredients. they also had my mobile order ready early despite being so busy. they did mess up my order and put the wrong type of hummus but I was so happy that they filled the bowl to the top that I won't take off stars for it. this is the best cava location i've been to, and i've been to many locations in both maryland and california. read more

I can only give them three stars not because of the food but because every other order is not correct. I have been to their drive thru several times and it seems every other visit they miss something. The food is good, service at window is a little odd - when you pull up the staff seem to be surprised that you are there. Never are they ready always have to go looking for your food/bag. I now check everything before pulling away even though the employee has closed the window and walked away. It seems the forgotten items are the chips with dip, cans of soda and the pita that goes with the entree. They get the big stuff in the bag but the small stuff forget about it. I have stopped ordering anything other than the entree as it is not worth driving back, calling (which is a nightmare) or holding up the line to get someone back at the window. If Chipotle had a drive thru I would not go to Cava anymore because of all the errors. read more
