The food here is amazing but the customer service here is absolutely horrible. I walked into this location with my boyfriend to no line, and with two workers there. Neither of them greeted us and the one working the front proceeded to ignore us while she was completing her mobile orders. The other worker did see us but proceeded to stay in the back and work on other tasks instead of helping us. We waited for about 6 minutes in silence while waiting for her to complete what she was doing even before even greeting us. Let me preface by saying I LOVE Mezeh - it's comparable to Cava and although you'll hear my friends argue about which is best, I prefer Mezeh. My love for Mezeh started at the Gaithersburg location in Crown. Always top notch service and delicious ingredients. Mezeh is essentially the Mediterranean version of Chipotle - you can get bowls or pitas ordered with a variety of ingredients in a line. We're talking greens and/or rice, proteins (shawarma, falafel, lamb, etc.), hummuses, veggies, sauces... With that said, this Mezeh has a lot to learn in the way of customer service and CONSISTENCY. I've been here countless times, and am VERY familiar with their serving sizes. My most recent visit turned into an unpleasant experience, as some of the staff in my more recent visits have started to essentially cut the protein servings in half, which I will be quick to call out. When I did call BS on this skimping of epic proportions, a younger employee decided to take a stand on the sizing being correct. I'm a grown man with a sharp memory, so I was quick to let him know he was incorrect, but he persisted. I let him know I'd been a customer of the establishment longer than he'd been an employee and that he'd best be served to stop his roundabout way of calling me a liar. I explained I would pay for the extra protein, but that my interaction with the staff was not a good look. I read another Yelper's recent review that mentioned watered down sauces and greasy rice and proteins - this has 100% been true in some instances, but they seem to have gotten them to a better consistency as of late. I'd imagine this corner-cutting began as supply chain issues impacted restaurants around the world over the past year+. I can be understanding of issues like this and look the other way with my reviews, but a staff who digs their heels in on repeat customers who are willing to pay extra for what they want - that's bad for business. read more

I was told there was nothing they could do except give me a voucher for a free meal or I can come pick up the items myself. For a variety of options when making a bowl or a wrap mezeh beats Cava for sure! You can really get creative here and perfect your bowl over time and have a great time doing it. Portions are generous as well which is a plus. LOVE their falafel and their veggie koftas look crisp and tasty so I will be trying that next. Really appreciate that they have cauliflower rice too as I am trying to be healthier when eating out. My husband recommends their chicken shawarma over cava's any day. You get a piece of hot pita bread with each bowl which is perfect for scooping. I will say they are a little disorganized with and inattentive to their online orders but perhaps that was a staffing issue on that day. Still a great place for lunch! read more

This was my first time going to Mezeh and it was really delicious. I am not personally a fan of CAVA but wanted to try this place and I am so glad I did. Everything tasted super fresh. The falafel was not bland at all and had great flavor with a great crunch on the outside. The chicken was also great with a great amount of heat! Try the Greek Feta dressing if you're into vinaigrettes with a bit of twist. Also, they will make fresh bread for you and it's super good when it's hot! read more

I don't go there often because the service is poor. Never understood why no pricing chart. Then they upped their prices about a year ago. Went there about a month ago and heard they were getting rid of many of the toppings. Went yesterday and sure enough they got rid of half of the toppings. With the remaining topping, they barely want to give you anything, but still want to charge almost $13 for a bowl. Won't be returning. This place is so legit. I tried Mezeh when it opened at Wheaton mall 6-7 years ago and I remember it just being ok and Cava being so much better. Mezeh must of done a lot of improve in the last 7 years because I've been here twice recently and this place is amazing! I like it better than Cava and I'm glad it moved nearby home because I'll be coming here a lot. I have nothing but good to say about this location the food is always fresh and I love it here. It's new it just opened probably this month and they're doing a good job in there I usually get the wrap, whatever the wrap is made from is so yummy it's almost like a flaky buttery tortilla but it's not a tortilla. They're generous with the portions they give, like chipotle! But better. Its basically a Mediterranean chipotle. It's great they have the good ice too the small little ice pellets are always my fave. Actually, the food is good and inexpensive, and the workers are very efficient. The problem is online ordering. It's one of the worst online ordering experiences I've ever had. Recently, the site asks for credit card information twice, so you don't know if you'll be charged twice for one order. Also, it wouldn't allow me to reset my password. The message was something like, "password not recognized." Nonsensical!. Maybe Mezeh should invest a little more in hiring good online programmers. Was coming here because I saw the reviews saying it was better than Cava & Chipotle, but unfortunately I can't agree. The customer service was terrible, when me and my girlfriend first walked in we weren't greeted or felt welcomed all we got was just an awkward silence until we both said "Hi." We then decided to walk around and see all the options they had which was very cool and interesting. We got something similar to our Cava order so we could compare the two together, and without a doubt i'm taking Cava every time.
