I'm giving this place five stars for their food but service is one star or less Every time I come in, I get different amounts of food and it's never consistent then when I asked for a little bit more greens, they charge me extra. Greens are cheap losing a loyal/return-customer is more expensive. Manager of this place or headquarters should re-train their staff and decide on how much food they will be giving. We have frequented other Cava locations and absolutely loved them, but were disappointed by our visit to the Greenwich Cava. We visited mid day on a Sunday and were unable to order falafel and pita crisps as we were told their frying machine was broken. We were surprised to hear this for such a busy time/day of week. Nonetheless, our Cava bowls were delicious as always. We would give the Greenwich location another try due to our love for Cava's flavorful ingredients and tasty dips and dressings. I had never had Cava until this winter, and it was SO good! The exquisite combination of flavors that hit my pallet when I took my first bite was extraordinary. My apologies for sounding cliché. I was genuinely impressed, though, at the high quality of a make-it-your-own place. It's like a Mediterranean Chipotle. I do think they should provide some explanations of certain items on their digital menu, however, as I found myself looking up stuff a decent amount. I think you can go all which ways here. But for all practical purposes, the base for CAVA bowls are Greens, Grains (or both), Pita and a few others- and if you're doing low-carb, swap out the grains. Followed by Dips & Spreads, then Proteins: Chicken, Grilled Meatballs, Braised Lamb or Spicy Lamb Meatballs (oh...there's no oink at all here). Next- pick unlimited Toppings and to top it all off, Dressings- in many nice combinations. With several locations strong, CAVA isn't self-service but, they do set themselves apart from the typical build-your-own salad spots with lots of Greek & Mediterranean ingredients. Large windows give CAVA an airy feel, high ceilings with wood beams and a black, wood slat wall- adding modern plus drama. Service is pleasant as you pull up to CAVA's assembly counter. Home girl made some combination suggestions and I just went with it. Thank you! I didn't want to hold up the line by having a sample of each dressing- so settled on oil and lemon instead- which was good anyway. I really like the food here. But the portions are very inconsistent. If I order a salad bowl, I expect there to be a good amount of greens in there. There often isn't. That sometimes is accompanied by half scoops of the ingredients as well. I find that the bowls tend to be smaller on Sundays, and generally better during the first part of the week. I wish there was better quality control, because it makes me think twice about going back. read more

CAVA is always good, with big portions, but when I went in today, the store had to have been 50 degrees inside. The air conditioning was full blast, super uncomfortable. Came here for the first time the other day and it definitely has its pros and cons. The cons were that the staff was unwelcoming and not very helpful. This was even after my friend and I both mentioned it was our first time there, the employee still tried to rush us through the line. But on the pro side I got a half salad/half grain bowl, loaded with dips and toppings. My bowl was filled to the rim and was extremely filling! The only downside is the amount of sauce they put on top, it was way too much and ended up drowning the rest of my food. All I could taste was sauce and it made the bowl pretty unpleasant to eat after a while. But the toppings and protein tasted well seasoned and fresh so that was a plus! Overall, I'd come here again, but I would definitely ask for the sauce on the side! read more

It took me 3rd time bad experience to write this review. Cava use to be my go to destination for food but now they are becoming worse with time. Very incompetent, always short of either rice, pita chips, lettuce or anything else you want even at the middle of the day. They mess up the order and fail to give a fork or straw when doing curbside pick up and then u realize you can't even eat food because they failed to give the necessities. I don't know who the ma nage at greenwich ct branch is but he should be fired and the staff should be given proper training. Very disappointing! read more

Then I got falafel as my protein and all the toppings WITB a vinegrette sauce. Amazing! So filling and very flavorful. I will def come back! Friend got: Grain bowl. White rice. It's easy to get swept up in the holiday spirit, as everyone is in good spirits and wishes each other Merry Christmas. I got the "Eleni" pasta, as I'm not big on meat. I actually liked the dish more this year than last year. My friends got Espanata and were very happy with their dinner. By far, the best thing about this place is the lights! Serving staff were very efficient and timely in bringing us our meal. Due to the fact that they are off-the-charts busy at Christmas time, they will make you secure your reservation with a credit card if your party is more than 4, and you will get charged for no shows and late cancels! Keep this in mind when reserving. The lunch menu is not available during the Christmas season, dinner menu only, and you must order an entree (no salad-only or dessert-only). Got rotten avocados that impregnated with its bitter flavor the 2 bowls I had ordered, "right rice" wasn't fresh at all - it tasted old, and the sweet potatoes were totally burnt, old and disgusting. I just ordered a salad bowl to be delivered to my home via UberEats and it was missing a hand full of the toppings I had requested (tomatoes & onions, pickled onions, fire roasted corn and the yogurt dill, etc.) and the bowl was only half full. I contacted CAVA and they said I needed to contact UberEats even though it was clearly CAVA who had messed up the order big time!
