I just ordered a salad bowl to be delivered to my home via UberEats and it was missing a hand full of the toppings I had requested (tomatoes & onions, pickled onions, fire roasted corn and the yogurt dill, etc.) and the bowl was only half full. I contacted CAVA and they said I needed to contact UberEats even though it was clearly CAVA who had messed up the order big time! Not up to cava standards. Fell in love with this chain in DC (and I normally don't do chains). Unfortunately I nearly broke a tooth on some raw undercooked black lentils. Also their portions of hummus were barely visible. The ground lamb was good though and the crazy feta is not to be missed so net for the price not terrible. But they can do better. I love Cava it's so delicious. I go to them in NYC often as well. I love the seasonal variety and endless toppings to choose from with no restrictions. I never feel hungry or left unsatisfied. It's extremely well seasoned and flavorful with great spices and sauces-- particularly love their dips. Absolutely amazing. Very tasty mediterranean bowl with generous portions. All of the ingredients tasted super fresh and blended well. Resturant was very clean and well lit. Made me want to dine in. This is my new favorite resturant, And I have been to all the popular lunch spots in midtown. They do not hold back on the meat or over charge for double meat like Dig Inn or Roast do. This is amazing food for lifting because they give a ton of protein and filling hearty ingredients. I ordered double meat, but I really didn't need to. they give you enough already. Also this place has mexicane coca cola which I also really like. The price was very cheap for what you get. Also the selection of ingredients is such that you can order a ton of different combos. It's my second time here I decided to give it another try. I didn't like it I got the pita falafel wrap. The pita was hard and difficult to chew. The girl helping me through something in the trash which was completely over flowing and they proceeded to assist me. I didn't say anything bc she then put gloves on (thank goodness) The dressings are ok. I really wanted to like it but I didn't. I will not be returning. Such a fantastic new please for Greenwich! It's like a Dig Inn and Cosi, just a Mediterranean twist involved. I built my own bowl which was very good the pita is so good! Every thing taste so good together. I love that you can put as many toppings as you want for no extra charge. All of this deliciousness for about $9.00. Proteins you pay for extra which is understandable. I've only had the grilled chicken so far and can't wait to try more. Their hummus is delicious. This place is great! It opened in the location where Cosi used to be and I have to say - what an improvement! I've been twice in the past week and I absolutely love the freshness of the food, the quality of the food (no wilted greens here, y'all), and the price ($9 for an enormous salad and pita? Yes, PLEASE!) The concept is fairly simple. You can either build your own pita, salad, or grain bowl online or in store. They have a variety of base grains, greens, and pita for you to choose from and then you can load them up with a variety of protein (lamb meatballs, chicken, falafel, etc.) and toppings such as roasted veggies, pickled peppers, cucumber, tomato, mint, hummus, tzatziki, cauliflower and quinoa tabbouleh, currants, carrots, feta... The list goes on and on. And their dressings are amazing - I highly recommend the yellow pepper tahini dressing or the green harissa dressing. The best part for me is that this enormous salad (without the pita) usually tends to be around 430 calories, which is great considering how filling it is. If you're a health-conscious individual you'll definitely like this place! If you're a vegetarian minded individual you'll like the customization available here - it's definitely more on the vegetable side of things! Also, I've also ordered online and I prefer that to ordering in the store. The system is super easy to use and you can pick your delivery slot, pay, skip the line, and show up to pick up your food. They've messed up here and there but no major mistakes and we understand it happens. The website for ordering online is great overall, but sometimes there's glitches with that. Has the ability to be good as the food flavors and sauces are great. A bit skimpy for the price. Have been many times for dinner and even for lunch but it seems the food is always picked over on the good things and other stuff is getting a little long in the tooth. I came back to this location after 8 months because my daughter invited me not because I want to go. Unfortunately, I had today the same bad experience than 8 months ago. The manager was so rude correcting the new employees (servers) in front of the clientele and she (manager) was discourteous and impolite. They need to train their personnel on the back so when they are ready send them to the front to be more helpful with the customers and expedite the orders. I tried this on a whim. Very surprised at how good it was. The flavors are a bit exotic but still very friendly. The freshness and amount of food are very hard to beat. The first two times I came here, I was so excited to have found such a delicious spot with great vegetarian options, healthy options and yummy drinks. I've tried going about 6 more times, and every time since then the quality has gone down a LOT. First, it was the salad, they seemed to change their greens mix, it wasn't chopped properly or something, and then it became the service. The girls working there were all chatting to each other and even gossiping to a co-worker who seemed to be on break or off the clock, literally yelling over the customers to gossip with each other. Then finally today, I tried one more time, and the "roasted vegetables" I always order were completely raw. So the food is really good, fairly cheap, and surprisingly one of the few types of cuisine that was sorely missing from the Greenwich market. However, they're inexplicably not on Seamless (the former Cosi located here was), and therefore missing an entire market. With the generous budgets given to employees for lunch around here by hedge funds, it's a pretty surprising miss by management. I can't think of another similar type of place in Greenwich that isn't on Seamless. I was so excited about this place when we first tried it, reminded me of a place I used to eat at very often when I worked in NYC, ordered a handful of times and never had any problem until yesterday. I've always ordered online and picked up so never had a ton of interaction with the staff. Today, I ordered food and to my dismay, there was a shower like WAD of hair right on the top of my bowl. Initially, when I called for a refund, I was told "to come back in for another bowl" and I said absolutely not. The manager then told me I can only request refunds through the LEVELUP app I ordered through, which is not true, they said they couldn't do it and it had to be done by the location. Ultimately, I called back and I am now waiting for my refund to post but when I called back the manager said "oh I was going to try to call you back but I didn't know your name". Terrible all around I would say and I am totally mortified at the entire experience and unfortunately won't return, neither will my colleagues. read more
