I often use this specific location for catering orders. I am always impressed by my experience here. The staff are kind and go above and beyond to ensure that customers have a great experience. We placed a large to go order through the app, we were missing several items. I attempted to call the store as we are located 20 mins from this location, no answer and a full mailbox. I went back to the store, the manager was so rude and argumentative. She replaced what was forgotten and was not polite or apologetic. When I asked for her managers information or card she stated there were not cards and we was the only manager. I am appalled by her behavior. Will not be giving this location my business. read more

Basically the chipotle of Mediterranean food - Cava was a hit with my family! Very distinct flavors, fresh food and great portions! It tastes just as good as it looks in the pics. I don't always like to eat meat so I love that there were so many vegetarian options! I also loved the options for Kids Meals! The kids receive a huge portion of food and it's quite the assortment! If you're looking for a cool vibe you won't find it at Cava as they're located in a strip mall and the venue is sufficiently antiseptic. Please be very careful before eating here. I am upset that I didn't write a review a year ago when I got sick, but I really tried giving them the benefit of doubt. I got sick after eating here a year ago and it was bad but not hospital bad, so I didn't talk with them or write a review, but this past Sunday my daughters went out to eat. One daughter chose cava and the other chose torchy's. The one who ate cava started vomiting within 30 minutes of eating. It was so bad that she couldn't stand ans was so lethargic we had to take her to the ER. They told us she had food poisoning and I right away knew it was true because I had the same experience. We were in the ER for 7 hours while she got IV fluids and anti nausea meds and even when we got home she could barely lift her head as she was so weak. Yesterday one of my friends called and I told her about what happened and she said the same thing happened to her and she never went back to this cava. I feel terrible that I didn't write a review earlier and that I didn't tell my kids to never go there again. Food safety and food prep in a restaurant is so important. I will be contacting corporate and sending all the information to them to look into their safety practices and food handling. Please be careful if choosing to eat here. read more

i love the food but the service is terrible and it starts at the top and trickles down. the line moves so slow and they are always out of something and could careless. I eat here at least 2-3 times a week and I still get crap service and treat me like I'm a annoying Custermer. Most the of the staff are kids and move slower than my grandma and all they have to do it put lettuce in a bowl come on let's move it people's 20-30 minutes in line is not respectable and the turn over is consist. So happy we finally have a cava!! The fresh salads & bowls are delicious. I prefer making my own rather than choosing off the menu. I highly recommend the black lentils- they aren't mushy at all. Remind me of black rice. They are famous for their crazy feta sauce which i recommend on the side. It's good but the flavor is REALLY strong and can overpower the dish. Food was delicious and the gal working at the front was lovely but unfortunately every single table was dirty and I had to make a placemat for myself out of napkins. There was only 1 gal in the front and 3 others in the back. I came in on Sunday, 1/15 at 4:45pm. Spoke with the table next to me and they said it was a different set of workers when they sat down and it was also dirty. I've been here countless times and I'm always greeted by an unhappy employee. Cava tastes so good yet every time I visit this location the employees leave a bad taste in my mouth with such poor attitudes. I'm not going to dive into complaining about the serving size and how I get 1/3 of a bowl as that is now my expectation each time visiting. Seems resourcing is an issue, hence why they hired bunch of young incompetent boys to handle the food. Using their fingers to serve food. I've been here 2 times in 3 days and I plan to take my coworkers to another location (by work) tomorrow for lunch. On my first visit I was a bit worried about ordering the right thing so I looked at Yelp but really should have looked on their website to see all of the options. I ordered a grains and greens bowl with harissa chicken the first time and it was a bit too spicy for me. The second time I got the beef meatballs and they were great. Not dry at all like other reviewers mentioned. The cucumber mint drink is so refreshing and good. All of the food and drink options are fresh. Normally I'd post a pic of my meal but on both occasions I dug right in the minute I sat down. The only issue I have is on both visits I did not see anyone cleaning the tables in between guests and both times we were dodging dirty tables. Not one person cleaning one table. If staff can't do it, leave paper towel and cleaner out for the customers to do it then. I know I'd do it. read more

I'm a huge fan of Cava, however the inconsistency at this location is becoming almost to much to deal with. We order the same bowls online and in store and tonight was no exception. None of the "On the side" dips were on the side, which made one entire bowl inedible due to a food allergy and also the portion of the bowl was less than half the size as it is when we dine in. The spicy lamb meatballs were burnt on one side and not filled to be cooked on the other. Very disappointing for spending over $30 for 2 bowls. read more

I used to like this place! Today, they did not offer me my usual small piece of pita bread with my bowl. I asked for it and then got charged $1.80 for my tiny pita triangle that was always free in the past. Love Cava but this location is terrible. They're always out of something. Usually pita crisps and chips amongst other things I'm sure. Food just doesn't seem as fresh as other locations and I went during lunch time. The workers are stingy with the ingredients and don't give generous portions. I asked for a little extra rice and the worker said it's an extra charge when I didn't even want a full extra scoop. 10/10 recommend the Oak Lawn location. Workers are super friendly and generous. After going there I will not be returning to this Southlake location. read more
