It is on the lighter side and I wish there was more protein but for the amount of sides it's pretty decent. There's a lot of options and I usually do the family meals or one entree and 3 sides. Kabobs 3/5 On the lightly seasoned side. A bit chewy but we always pick it cause we are big meat eaters. Very little on the meats. Lamb shank 5/5 Also lightly seasoned but the lamb is so tender and falls right off the bone. Hummus 5/5 Love the different options they have. Pita 1/5 Dry as a brick. Lentil soup 5/5 Sweet and hearty. Guac 5/5 Pretty good guac

This was my third time I have given this location a try and this time was so bad I had to write about it. I ordered a Chicken Shawarma and the entire sandwich tasted like fish of all things! I wouldn't be surprised if today being a Friday is their Fish and rice day. So to me this means they have no problem throwing together a "chicken " shawarma sandwich using rice from the fish. How else could the whole sandwich taste infused with it. I paid over 15 dollars to have my stomach turned. Three strikes and you're out Fadi's in Sugar Land. I will NEVER eat there again!!!

I walked and was greeted by the owner. I had to try the lamb gyro and make it a combo with fries and fountain drink. I took it to go and ate it at home. The fries were hot and crispy with that nice bite to it. Everyone likes fresh crispy fries. The lamb gyro was delicious. Just the right amount of meat and vegetable toppings with the cucumber, tomato, chickpea and lots of white tzatziki sauce all on a nice fluffy pita. Messy but a good messy. Overall the visit to Sami's Gyro House was a good experience. The seating is readily available, casual, and some other nice options on the menu. The price is affordable, food is fresh, and I have a place I can stop by for a gyro. I usually would drive all the way to Hillcroft for Shawarma but this is good. I'd love to stop in again to try the rice platters. Also I was super hungry, I forgot to take a picture of the food but believe me, it was solid haha

Both plates came with some rice and a salad. The food is wonderful - very fresh and flavorful, with high quality ingredients. Chef John is a very experienced and accomplished chef with a background in various cuisines. The menu is extensive, featuring Mediterranean, Persian, and Indian cuisines. Everything from curry to shawarma to soltani to biryani to fish and chips. Kids menu available as well. We had hummus, tabouli, a Chicken Soltani plate, a Beef Soltani plate, saffron rice, fried spring rolls, baklava and Persian tea. Everything was delicious! The portions are large, and the prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality of the food. This will be our new "go to" restaurant. Chef John is very kind and personable, and visited with our table personally. The staff was very kind and helpful. Order at the counter and your meal is brought to you. The address is 4645 Highway 6 at Dulles Ave., in the Welfresh parking lot. It is a cafe to the right of the sushi restaurant. There are tables inside and a couple of tables on the outdoor patio. They also have an extensive catering menu. Business hours are 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday, and Wednesday-Sunday. Closed on Tuesdays. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself. You won't regret it.

Upon entrance we had to ask the server to bring us water. He was kind enough to bring my son another drink on the house. - Barg was a too chewy. - Interior is dated. Restrooms need to be cleaned. Overall: I would try this place again. Chef John was really nice and I kind of feel bad for leaving a neutral review.

When we entered the vibe was relatable to the name of the restaurant but after a few minutes we heard Bollywood songs and I love Bollywood songs but I feel like the vibe of the restaurant should relate to the cuisine and ambiance. It automatically gives an impression that the restaurant isn't Greek or Lebanese for example. Anyway, we had ordered kibeh and lentil soup for appetizers. The lentil soup was the worst lentil soup I've ever had it was frozen we asked them to heat it but it still tasted disgusting. I couldn't eat it. The kibeh was alright the dip with the kibeh was good. For entrees, we ordered the chicken shawarma plate and combo kebabs. The plates came with a salad the dressing was interesting but I'm not a fan of feta cheese so I didn't have the salad. The shrimps and chicken kebab of the combo kebabs were not bad I really liked the shrimps. The hummus was okay and the rice was very bland. The service was quick I believe because everything felt like it was pre-cooked except for the kebabs but the beef kebab wasn't cooked entirely one of the pieces it was raw. The shawarma was not good at all! Very disappointing Our bill was $60 and we were charged a 2.5% fees for credit card!

When we arrived on a Tuesday evening, it was empty other than maybe one other family. When we entered we were told to pick a seat and then given the menus. The second I saw the menu it seemed a bit expensive- I was looking at the vegetarian plate where you can pick 5 which was for $25 I think- I got falafels, tazeki, hummus, another spread, pickled turnips. They didn't have many other options that were appetizing- I'm not into the eggplant or okra. While waiting for the food the waitresses were sitting on their phones chatting laughing, I thought it was unprofessional, that's not what you want to see when you go to a nice place. We were given salad- the salad already had dressing on it which was spicy! Me and my friend could not figure out what it is - it was tangy spicy I think from garlic more chemically tasting rather than Cheyenne spicy. A bit too spicy for both of us. I would have wished they put the dressing on the side so we can add on our own. The food arrived and was given pita bread as well which was nice. The food was not flavorful, the hummus tasted Bland, falafels were actually pretty good but only were given . The pita bread I was hoping was gonna be fluffy but this was so thin and chewy didnt like it. Everything wasn't to my liking or lacking something except the falafels which I only had two of. I think the falafel wrap might have been a better option but due to the price I won't be back.

Locally and family owned, we were warmly welcomed upon entering and everyone was so nice and generous with answering questions and providing samples as needed. Various prepped meat skewers were displayed behind the refrigerated counter and ready to be cooked- dishes are made fresh! Loved the variety of the simple menu. You can pick your base, protein, and lastly two sides. We sampled the okra, daal , and Afghan rice- all were delicious! Ordered : Chicken koobideh with daal and fries - delicious seasoned tender chicken atop fragrant Afghan rice. The fries were nice and crisp and drizzled with some of their specialty sauces and the daal, like a soup, was perfecto! Chicken koobideh atop Greek salad without feta. Knowing that I had a slight intolerance to dairy, they offered me a sample of all their sauces. Love!! I dipped my salad and chicken into all of them- garlic, spicy, green. For my sides - daal which they put into a bowl for me so as to not spill into my other items ( very thoughtful!) and eggplant. At the time they were sold out of the popular dish, I was disappointed and I think they couldn't help but notice the expression on my face..... but, as I was trying to figure out my other side, a shipment of eggplant came in! And they made it fresh for me! Sliced, cooked eggplant topped with a homemade tomato sauce. Everything was fabulous- from the moment we walked in, to their delicious healthy/fresh made meals, to their wonderful service and clean environment. Check them out! Military discount offered. Reasonably priced.

He explained about their dishes and how everything is made home made.. They seemed very proud of their food which is a good start. Was going to order lamb plate but last minute I changed to pita wrap. The meal came with fries and drink. Total came up to around $17.31 which I feel like it was little on the high end. I was disappointed to see that they did not have a drink fountain and I had few choices of can soda from a drink cooler. Not a deal breaker but I hate paying for drink at a restaurant and I get a can soda. My food came and looked yummy. I was pleasantly surprised to see the fries topped with sauces. Started with fries and they were nice and jot/crispy. Extra sauces on them made them more flaverful. I took my bite with pita wrap and, man was it yummy. Full of flavor, I think it was lamb or lamb and beef gyro. I don't remember what the guy told me but it was very yummy. It was probably the best gyro/pita wrap that I've ever had. I would definitely come back here again if I am ever on this side of town/state.

I do want to recognize the young woman working today--she was friendly, professional, and provided great customer service. The gentleman that was working with her today 5/30 at 2pm was not. He was rude to her and the customers. My biggest concern is the lack of respect shown to customers and, at times, to your own staff. Long-time customers notice these things, and it affects the overall experience. With Gyro Hut opening next door, I'll be taking my business there instead. It's disappointing because this used to be one of my regular spots, but the recent decline in quality and service has made me look elsewhere.

A simple Google search brought us here... and I'm so glad it did. We walked in and the man behind the counter was super friendly. We asked a bunch of questions, and he patiently explained what comes with what, what tastes better, and gave great recommendations overall. They have a screen playing behind the counter showing all the food they offer, and one dish in particular caught my eye. I decided to take a chance on it, some kind of chicken and lamb situation (don't ask me the exact name ). All I know is... it was GOOD. And listen... pickles and jalapeños in the dish?! WHO thought of that? Two of my favorite things, just casually added? Wow. Genius. Oh, and the bread... pita? Flatbread? I don't even know the proper name, but GET EXTRA if you can. It was soooo good. I fully planned on going back on Christmas Eve but they had already closed at 6 (another sad face ), so we had to settle for something far less tasty. All in all, this is officially my NEW favorite Mediterranean restaurant. I'll definitely be back, probably sooner than later.
