LOVE CAVA! It's Mediterranean food set up similar to chipotle. If I ever want a quick lunch, I'll always pick Cava. They offer free pita bread with your order. Cava is a family favorite for my egg and dairy allergy ridden family. My daughter, who has the allergies loves the brown rice and chicken with a side of hummus and pita chips. Hubby and I go with a chicken and veggie pita. I too off with all the toppings while hubby keeps it simple with the tomatoes, crazy feta and Greek dressing. Clean, modern and friendly. I have only tried the falafel sandwich and my friends tried their bowls. Protein is prepared within view. Ingredients appeared very freshly prepared. Nothing looked like it was sitting, sorta like fries under a heat lamp. Unique selection of beverages, i enjoyed mixing the different teas. You leave feeling satisfied and not like wtf crap did u just eat and regretting it. My only neg would be the bathrooms weren't very tidy.. At first it looks a bare bones cafeteria. Then you see the eclectic selection of greens, toppings and dressings. Very filling and tasty. Careful, when they say something is spicy, it's very spicy. So I acutely really like cava. It's a really healthy place with delicious and fresh salads and pitas. They even have there own branded water which I love... I ordered a salad with like, everything and it was soooo good!! After I finished like half of the bowl I was full. I had some falfal with it and it was like there own style and recipe. Went today to get dinner. Was extremely disappointed in the service. The staff serving the food had their mask under their nose and gave attitude Becuase I couldn't here her. Gave even more attitude when I asked her to put her it mask up. The icing on the cake was when I saw staff from the kitchen without mask. One even walked out of the kitchen without one. I told them to throw my order out and walked out. In a store sure have your nose out. But working in the food industry where I am buying food to eat during a pandemic, having your nose out and it wearing a mask is very ignorant. Sorry I do not want anyone breathing on the food that I am going to eat. Have respect, do your job and follow protocol. Wear your damn mask and cover your damn nose!! read more

Love this place! My new go to for a quick healthy meal. I recommend the bowl, i think you get more this way vs. getting everything in a pita. They also include a free mini pita on the side. Love their grilled beef meatballs and the chicken. The tzatziki and crazy feta spread was amazing. The staff was great, incredibly helpful with the toppings selection. They also have fresh juice that is made daily. The peach green tea was my favorite. I will definitely go back soon. read more

I like the idea. I like the food. All the restaurants in that mall have that austere aesthetic. The music scape makes up for the austere setting. For $14.95 one gets to eat like the Lululemon wearing set. Foodwise, for the first time, we have fast casual that actually tastes like something. One big problem is that it is very difficult to put together a combination where everything isn't clashing with everything. Lots of strong flavors. Some presets might be nice. It's very easy to put together something inharmonious. I see lots of potential, but it feels a bit rough around the edges and has room for improvement. Would do well in Miami, Fort Lauderdale would be a stretch, Boston, maybe. Manhattan certainly, Queens, iffy, Poughkeepsie possibly, Northern Jersey, absolutely, Los Angeles, Palm Springs and San Francisco, certainly, as well as Santa Fe and Taos. Austin would be a toss up. Madrid would bomb. Barcelona, possibly, and Medellin, possibly. read more

This was my second time going to Cava. I work in the mall and knowing how busy it can get at Cava I made sure to order ahead through their app. I placed my order for 530 and got there for within minutes of the order time. I stated how I was picking up an order under Julia and they said they were finishing the order, no problem. As minutes are going by, people are walking in ordering their food and getting it before my mobile order was even "finished" I then asked other employees if it was ready yet and they kept saying "Oh it's in the line". At this point, I have been standing there for 15 minutes frustrated. They said they make it based on when the orders come through to which then I asked "even if people walk in after the fact and get their food before me" they had no answer. I then asked "where in the line" my order was and they couldn't find it. Thought it was in the line? Now they're scrambling to find the right ticket even though I gave them my names multiple times. Turns out it was waiting in the pick up section the whole time and they never checked it. Will never got to this place again and I'll make sure the rest of my store doesn't either. This is not the first time something like this has happened as similar issues have happened to my coworkers as well. At least offer me a free meal or something for the trouble. read more

I'm loving the food at CAVA BIG TIME but there are a few things I'm not too happy about regarding the staff. First of all the first time I went I asked the guy to be kind it was my first time there and he couldn't be bothered. It would be nice to explain how it works a little bit and I also did some research prior to going but it can be a little overwhelming and throw in the pressure of rushing through the line makes me anxious. God forbid I miss pronounce something on the menu!! I got a very snide correction by the way. Oh and another thing when I asked for a cup and I got a strange look...I bought a seltzer and my daughter wanted some of it is that a crime? This is my new favorite restaurant in the area! WOW! Everything was amazing. Crazy feta spread was sooo good. I had the pita, quite messy but soooo worth it. Next time I'm going to try the bowl.. just to see which I like better. My boyfriend had the salad bowl and it came with pita on the side, so good! I highly recommend this place. I've been telling everyone I know. Definitely check this place out. I love chipotle but this place is giving them a run for their money! Staff is very helpful and great too. Went in tonight. The 3 stars are due to the food being delicious however it should be zero stars due to their customer service. Backed up line and workers moving very slow on line and some just standing around talking to each other . One young lady at the initial start of the food assembly line was working harder and faster than the other 4 put together. The back up of food in the toppings area made this situation more than obvious. On top of all this there was an issue with an over charge on a couple of customers ahead of us and the entire line just came to a stop! Other than the initial assembly line starter no one was working while they tried to figure out the problem (still not sure why all the other workers "not"on the register were just standing around at this time) and the toppings area became overloaded w multiple half complete meals. Upon the resolve of the issue the young lady I guess trying to finally keep up tried to push our meals through without the final toppings. We pointed out r toppings request to her and then after leaving and paying $24 for two meals we realized in the car that they charged us for 2 lamb meals when we only had one. Again food is delicious so will probably be back but will be watching everything like a hawk next time. read more

Cava please get it together. They got my order wrong - re did it and still got it wrong!!! Never gave me the pita chips and charged me for it. Plus the bowl was only half filled. The tiniest scoops of hummus ever. I've been to several cavas in Paramus and DC and this was the stingiest one ever. Please don't crimp when you are just opening. read more
