Greek Salad

I've eaten here a few times and had a good experience. I ordered takeout this week and got a Greek salad, which was packaged with no dressing, and added chicken. For $7, this is the chicken that was provided. They said it is one skewer, but it truly must be the world's tiniest skewer, because I have never seen a skewer that only holds four tiny pieces of chicken which, as you can see, are smaller than the tiny dressing cup. It feels highly overpriced to be this and a chicken platter for $50. Very disappointing,

My fiancé and I got 2 of the mixed grilled platters (one with fries, one with rice), and they were reasonably good- not great. I think the flavors were there but the meat was a bit dry & it was a little expensive when I think the servings could have been bigger. I did enjoy the salad a lot though- the red onions and cabbage were amazing! I'm definitely willing to try it again, might just have to dine in to get a better experience!

Greek salad with abundant red cabbage leftover - 60% of salad was red cabbage.

I ordered 2 large Greek salads with romaine. 1 with gyro meat. That was good - 4 stars. 1 with salmon. That was also good. - 3 stars. Greek salad - 1 star. See pics below of what was left of the salad to see what was left after only really eating the meat and a few cucumbers. Price $46 - 1 star - overpriced. Great service - 5 stars...

Couldn't wait for a pic to try the rice pudding

I am so excited to finally have a local authentic middle eastern restaurant in this area. The flavors are incredible and the service is amazing. I have dined in and ordered take out and loved both experiences... I'm not a big dessert fan but the rice pudding was so good I definitely recommend this place and you will not be disappointed!! It's family owned and you'll get that authentic home cooked meal every time

Really good falafel! Enough space to dine in, but it's usually a bit crowded during lunch time. Limited parking available in a shared lot. They charge credit card fees, best to use cash if you can.

The best. The Muhammara is unbelievable. Great falafel. The red cabbage that's on their sandwiches is amazing.

I got two meals out of mine. I got the gyro platter and it probably was one of the tastiest meals I've had in a long time. I thought the chicken was seasoned and flavorful. But by far, the best part was the white sauce. I would pair it with the mango lassi and it was such a great explosion of flavors - both savory and sweet. I will say they ask whether you're okay with onions and raisins in your platter. I liked them but I know raisins might not be what most people prefer to add to their rice. Service was fast. You can either order at the front table or at your seat. They got the food in a reasonable amount of time. The place looks small from the outside, but when you walk in, there's a back room worth of 30 people worth of seating. It's extremely cozy inside. There's also a parking lot right next to the restaurant and also across the street. The lot right next door is kinda small though, so you might need to loop around. Parking shouldn't be a problem and you can get a really good stop if you're lucky.

Its English name comes from a Greek legend: Zeus had an affair with a beautiful woman named Io. When Hera, his wife, discovered his infidelity, she turned Io into a cow and created a horsefly to sting her on the rump. Io jumped clear across the strait. Thus, "bous" = "cow" and "poros" = "crossing place": Bosphorus = "crossing place of the cow." Located off of busy Franklin Avenue in Nutley, my partner, our friends, and I have decided on our dinner at this family-owned-and-run BYOB establishment, which has been open since 1995. A reservation was made for a party of 4 by calling their restaurant. Upon arrival after three years, we were welcomed by Nora, the owner, and made our way to a table by the piano inside, evoking a cozy, thoughtfully designed, upscale vibe with music playing softly. Their menu features Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine. For starters, we decided on the Puffed Rill Pastry and Grape Leaves. Our main meal consisted of all lamb dishes (Lamb Shish Kebab, Beyti Kebab, Lamb Chops, and Lamb Sauté). Our food was fresh, well seasoned, and cooked to perfection, accompanied by a beautifully presented dish. Everything was authentically made with love here. Wish we could have stayed for dessert, as they looked amazing, but some of us were in a rush. It's definitely on the higher end cost but worth the taste. Our visit ended with a hug and a piece of candy.

The place is spacious despite it being only for takeout, and it has a nice counter. We called our order and it took them 15 minutes to have it ready, which was much appreciated as we were starving! We got the dumplings, basil fried rice, and drunken noodles - it all came out to $32 which is an incredible price for the amount of food we received! The dumplings were okay, not the greatest I've had but not bad. The basil fried rice and drunken noodles were both good, they have a decent amount of chicken and vegetables, and the spice levels were true to what they said! We ordered the rice as spicy (level 1) and the noodles as very spicy (level 2) and they did not disappoint! It is great to know we have a solid Thai place nearby if we want to switch it up from our regular spot.

Super fragrant, colorful, and bursting with flavor. I love the eggplant and assortment of veggies found in every bite. The chicken and beef were both super tender and well-seasoned. The Jasmine rice is aromatic and paired well with the dish. Overall, I was super satisfied! One of the best Thai spots in the area.
