Let me preface this by saying...I'm not the biggest Mediterranean food fan because it's really hit or miss. Food can be over or under seasoned--especially if it's not in a traditional "sit-down" eatery. But I've gotta tell you that CAVA made me a believer. I visited almost once a week at this particular location because of their consistent quality. The bowls are absolutely fantastic. I have yet to be adventurous and try other menu options. The falafel is perfect--and by "perfect" I mean PERFECT. The shape, the portion, the texture, the taste. It's awesome as a protein or an addition to any dish. Again, while the food is great, the service is even better. "Liz" at this location is like my "CAVA Fairy Godmother". She's personable and makes great recommendations. Not to mention she caught me before I had an allergic reaction to one of the sauces with sesame. She remembers orders and she's warm and friendly. Today she encouraged me to try the Pita Chips and the Garlic sauce. It won't disappoint. She also told me about the app! AWESOME place. Great place and even better service! read more

This is my new favorite place!! I've gone here two nights in a row for takeout and I think I'd go every night if I could! I had a grain bowl both times with the yummy black lentils as my base. The meatballs are awesome as is the chicken. The hummus and fresh toppings are crisp and delicious. The dressings too put on top are the final touch and oooohhhh so good. Portions are generous. I've brought mine home and split it so I can have it for lunch the next day. My son had a kids meal and he loved it!! Win win as it's not fast food but pretty darn healthy. I've been wanting to eat at Cava for a while, and now it's one of the first things I've eaten out since quarantine! I was so impressed. My mom and I were a little unsure how to order and the young man working there was SO patient and helpful, and honestly I think that plays a huge part of my 5 stars. I hate going to a place and feeling confused and rushed. He walked us through each step and gave us tips on what was popular and what would be a good combination. My mom ordered hers on a pita (like a gyro) and I had a bowl. I love that you get 3 dips included so I got to try a little bit of everything. I've heard of Cava for years now, but hadn't had a chance to go to one until we found this one ear the Willowbrook mall. It was a little overwhelming at first since I wasn't familiar with the menu, but it's almost like a Chipotle where you order as you go down the row. I was craving a pita and started to second-guess myself when I saw the portions, but at the end of the day it was delicious and was just about enough food. My husband had a rice bowl which looks pretty yummy as well. We would go back. The only thing to caution is at the prices seem a bit high for what you're getting. What a great chain! I've just discovered this amazing idea of a mediterranean style Chipotle? It runs in a line and you can choose your greens and rice, your choice of protein (including falafel!), and a bunch of other toppings to bring you your perfect bowl. Let me be clear 2 stars is not for Cava in general but for this particular Location. I have been to this location numerous times and the past 2 have been rushed upon ordering and this last time the guy was down right rude. We were asked if we wanted pita on the side and said we wanted pita chips. Which are ordered further down the line. My friend was placing her order ahead of me and asked for pita chips when she was to the point of dressing (as she was rushed prior to that) and I asked for them only 1 order of pita chips was placed by the bagging area. We said we wanted 2 the guy said "Jesus she didn't ask for them" I said yes she did and he began to argue with me that she asked for pita pieces (no she didn't). There is no reason to be rushed or to be rude. I will continue going to CAva but will prefer the Paramus location where the workers are friendly and not rude. read more

I had never heard of Cava before they came to Willowbrook. The best way I can explain it to those who haven't heard about it before is as a Mediterranean version of Chipotle with endless items. So my job always orders from this place and I've never been. I decided to go today for lunch and see what they have. I met Luigi and he recommended a few dishes, I told him what I was craving and he prepared a very good salad. It's like he knew exactly what I wanted! wow. i'm such a fan!! this place is great! came here with my two girlfriends for dinner on a Friday night and it wasn't packed which was great. right next to the willowbrook mall and shake shack, there's ample amount of parking out in front and there's plenty of seating inside. the line goes by pretty fast and you get to order just like you would do in chipotle. the bowls are pretty cheap and VERY filling. the drinks are pretty good as well so make sure you try it (refillable as well so you can try all the different ones available to you). you can also ask for bread on the side (it's free). definitely recommend, and will come back myself! read more

After hearing the hype about CAVA on tik tok , I told myself I have to try it . Now the nearest one was either Wayne or Bridgewater . I took the chance and went to Wayne . I was so nervous , because I never tried Mediterranean food before and didn't know what to get. The place reminded me of chipotle but with more appetizing options . I asked the young lady what she recommended and I went from there . I got my food and tried and I must tell you love at first bite . Ever since then I have grown a new favorite spot. I had the chance to try CAVA in Bridgewater and I had a complete 360 experience . The lack of service and food readiness in the Bridgewater location was very disappointing . One occasion I had to wait almost an hour for them to cook the food and restock on at lot of the items . Today I was craving CAVA and had no doubts making the drive all the way to Wayne to get this delicious food . Mind you I have also tried CAVA in two different states besides NJ. Although the taste of the food was consistent . But what was lacking was the service . Having CAVA today in Wayne and being in the establishment and eating in there and taking that first bite brought me back to the first time i had CAVA in that exact location . The food itself is so fresh and flavorful I can talk enough about the food alone . But most importantly what brought my experience full circle is the service, cleanliness of the establishment and most importantly the staff . Such an amazing staff in Wayne , the best location of CAVA I have experienced. Online Order Failure Let me preface this by saying last week I ordered food from this establishment online and it was ready and waiting when I arrived. I just grabbed my bag and out the door. There where several orders ready and waiting. I had ordered a salad and the bowl was as full as it could be. Not today. I placed the order at 11:25 am for an 11:45 am pickup. I arrived at 11:50 am and no food. 12:05 pm forty minutes after ordering and me having to complain they finally got around to making my lunch. Amazing Mediterranean restaurant! All of the ingredients are very fresh and healthy. There are so many combinations you can try, my favorite is the salad with falafel, chicken, and roasted vegetables. For toppings I get the feta, olives, hummus, cucumber & tomatoes, beans, and the tabouli salad. On the side I get pita and the Greek vinaigrette. I hadn't tried Cava until a friend recommended it to me. The best way I could describe it is a Chipotle for Mediterranean food but with with more options. I usually order for pick up and it's always ready on time (I've ordered to pick up ASAP and I've ordered to pick up for a time couple hours later). I usually crest my own bowl with half salad and half grains + falafel. I love how many add ons they have available including dips and dressing. Each of their dips and dressings have good flavor. Not as good as sit down middle eastern/Mediterranean places but it is what it is. Bowls are better than the pita, which did not work well with the cold toppings. I mean, it's a great concept. It's our second time ordering food from here, and they seem to have always been busy, so the food would never be stale. HOWEVER, the staff could care less about how they serve you. While ordering my food, no one was interested in helping me with understanding what I was ordering. When I said i wanted the spicy lamb and that should have meant i wanted half and half. The girl went and took out the 2 meatballs and threw them away instead of asking if i wanted it separately. Then i got to the condiments, and they were all empty. The staff literally scrapped the container and barely put a teaspoon on my plate. I am NEVER going to this location again. Maybe another chain location or a regular Mediterranean restaurant because for $15 a plate, we should not leave hungry. We sat on the outside for 4 mins, but it was just too chilly, so we sat inside on the sticky tables. We stayed there for 1 hour and no one ever came out to clean the tables. They used their hands to fill the containers back up. read more
