    Pita
    Cherie O.

I loved my chicken avocado pita but hubby wasn't pleased with his sparse amount of lamb meatballs. His bowl was too small. Hubby had a taste of mine and said I won. It was a huge pita, but I couldn't finish it. Service is the same, pick out what you want or don't want and at the end they tally it up. Helps if you have the Cava membership to get points added on. The area was loud as there was a large crowd at 2:15 pm, but happy to see younger people eating healthy.

Good mediterranean Chipotle essentially. Got half rice half lettuce with chicken bowl and fam each ordered bowls. Line moves fast and it's good quick fast-casual if you have a CAVA near you.

The location is clean and well-lit, and the staff is very friendly. The selection of toppings is really cool and there's a great assortment of Mediterranean choices. The flavors are all really varied and enjoyable. All of the veggies were freshly cut and tasty. It's easy to craft a unique creation to suit your tastes and preferences. I will caution that there are some sneaky hidden fees, so be careful when you order, as the up charges can sneak up on you: one type of chicken is $1 more and the avocado is a $2.05 up charge! Also, the quality of the chicken isn't the greatest, but it's not out of line for the market segment; it's no worse than one might find at Chipotle or Panera. But it's something to be aware of in making decisions. I think if you're after a vegetarian option, it would be really fantastic.

Absolutely love this Cava. I hate perhaps my best cava meal from this location. I recommend this order 10/10 times. Details below: Start with grain bowl - half brown rice, half RightRice, harissa, red peppe hummus and crazy feta, half grilled chicken, half sweet potato, pickled onions, dash of Persian cucumbers, pita crisps, avocado, feta and harissa vinaigrette to top. Of course don't forget the free side of pita! Happy ordering!

    Falafel and roasted veggies bowl

Service was impeccable! So kind, accommodating and patient with us, as it was our first visit. The woman offered to us, samples of sauces and made insightful and thoughtful suggestions based on our interests. My salad and rice bowl was perfect with roasted veggies and falafel. The sauces put it over the top! My picky son who was skeptical about coming here was pleasantly surprised with his braised lamb pita. He now believes he invented a genius concoction with his choice of sauce mash up. I'm just glad he gets it and will now encourage this choice to eat. The dining area is very modern and clean for a quick service restaurant.

I'm from St. Louis so this was my first experience with CAVA. Y'all. It was absolutely worth the hype! The restaurant was clean and the service was so friendly and patient with a first time guest. I would have given it 5 stars, but my one honest complaint is that the lentils were a bit underdone to the point of being crunchy. (But if you like them that way, then definitely get the lentils!). Everything else was beyond fabulous and I love feeling like I'm eating whole, largely plant-based foods. I'll definitely be back!

I love getting a salad from here. But trust I go to pick up my bowl and it's drenched in dressing, barely any greens AND I had a HUGE piece of cabbage core mixed in.

Overall, Second Street American delivers great food variety, strong service, and a family-friendly atmosphere, with just a few misses on dessert.

Both of us had to order from the booth before getting seated where they'll deliver your food via a number. My selection was 4 chicken tenders and fries topped with rosemary pepper seasoning. And I chose buttermilk ranch and Korean BBQ sauces for dipping. Everything was delicious. The tenders were hot and cooked perfectly and the fries had proper seasoning. We ordered scordalia (Greek penicillin) as our appetizer and it came with Pita. It was a large portion and had good flavors of garlic and lemon. One of the specials of the day was the boneless marinated leg of lamb ( Arniso Boutaki Me Meli). My wife and I both ordered it and boy were we disappointed. It came with seasonal vegetables and lemon potatoes. What we got was tough grey lamb with a sauce that looked reminiscent of Salisbury steak. It didn't have much flavor and it was NOT tender. I cook lamb frequently and this was horrible. I could guarantee it was most likely microwaved and not braised in a rich sauce like it should be. We came after a long day exploring Williamsburg and we were so so hungry. The only real edible part was the vegetables. Also I wish they would give you more than 3 potato wedges. The potato could also use more of a lemon flavor it was hardly noticeable. The only reason we didn't give it 1 star was because our waiter gave us 10% off the entire bill because we complained about the dish.

For a place where you have to wait in line to pay and have your food brought to you, it is not cheap. But the prices don't feel like you're being gouged either. Just don't expect to get out of there with two people and pay $30 dollars. It will not happen. Also, don't expect quiet. This place is loud. Small rooms with lots of chairs and nothing to cushion the noise. My perfect visit: 1. Have someone order the food and find seating. 2. You go to the dessert place a few doors down and get a medley of treats. 3. If you're two people, order three things and share a bit of each. 4. When you're almost done, order two coffees to go then sit back down. 5. Someone will bring you your coffees and you can walk out with drinks in hand and snack on chocolate covered items as you walk back to your car. 6. Complain that you should have gotten the large coffee and didn't ask for napkins so your fingers are a bit sticky. 7. Drive contentedly home and talk about what your favorite thing was. 8. No, no one is nice about merging back onto that highway, but that's not Hohl's fault.

You can build your own pizza or choose one of their signature combinations, like the Meat Lovers, and add extra toppings if you wish.
