Came here for a lunch outing. It was the weekend and not crowded during our visit. We didn't wait long for our table and the host was pleasant while seating us. We started with an appetizer of fried lasagna, a glass of red wine, and a pitcher of sangria, which were all good. The ambiance was quiet and reserved as we went late afternoon on a Saturday, which was a good time. We ordered the never ending pasta bowl which included various pasta with different sauces (additional cost for chicken and other proteins). I got the spaghetti with meat sauce, followed by the rigatoni with a spicy red sauce. Others got the fettuccine with the Alfredo sauce (added chicken for an additional cost). The pastas were fresh and delicious. We love the grated cheese that is always offered to top your meal! The spicy red sauce was my favorite! And of course, the tossed salad and garlic breadsticks were as good as ever. I couldn't eat all of my second round of pasta and ended up bringing it home (it reheated well!) I had a wonderful time visiting the Williamsburg location for Olive Garden restaurant. The host and the hostess greeted me with warm, smiles, and holiday greetings. I did not have to wait very long for my table to be ready. I had done some shopping in the area and wanted something warm and cozy to eat. As soon as I was seated, I was greeted by a wonderful server named Carrie. She greeted me with a warm smile, and asked me what I wanted to drink. She also asked me that I have any questions about the menu while I was trying to peruse the many options. I did not at the time. I wanted some cavatappi noodles, but they no longer carry that variety. Carrie suggested some other options that were just as flavorful. While I was waiting, I was greeted by a wonderfully warm manager named Karen. She asked me how the day was going and thank me for coming to Olive Garden for dinner. She was so positive and made sure that I felt at home. She kept an eye on all of the servers, and ensure that all of the guests were happy and well taken care of. When there were tables that were open and people were there, and she went over and greeted them and asked them was there anything that could be done to make our stay even better. I think that having a manager who is on the floor and making sure that everyone is OK is a wonderful touch. I decided on the fettuccine Alfredo with the chicken and spinach. I also opted for the zuppa Toscana soup as it was one of my favorites. The bowl of soup came out quickly along with my drink order. Carrie brought over some breadsticks to make sure that it was a great accompaniment to my soup. The soup was fresh and delicious. It had big pieces of potato and the sausage, and it was quite hardy. I received my chicken fettuccine with spinach and it was delicious. I had to take the rest with me because I was so stuffed from the food before that Carrie made sure that I had a bag to carry my stuff and she even provided me with extra cutlery as I wanted to make sure I had something to eat with later. I was pleasantly surprised at the wonderful service at this Olive Garden location. I had a great time and will be back. When you are at the location as for the manager, Karen and she will make sure that you have a great stay. read more

The soup was terrific. The Chicken Gnocchi was creamy and did not scrimp on the chicken and dumplings. The other Soups looked full of ingredients as well. The salad was fresh & crispy & the waitress was right there if you wanted grated cheese for it. The breadsticks were great with the soup. The waitress even gave us a heads up that fresh ones were due right out of the oven, if we didn't mind a minute wait. After the soup & salad (unlimited), the lunch portions of the entrees were more than filling, and delicious. After spending an enjoyable day at the museum, we stopped here for a late lunch. We arrived and asked for a table seating 7. The host asked us if we could wait outside until the table was ready about 5 minutes. She then called us in and were whisked to the back. Due to the current situation, they had just cleaned and disinfected the table as it was still wet. We were greeted by our server, Matthew who wore a mask and the tables were separated at least 6 feet. We had ordered several lunch sized dishes such as grilled chicken margarita, fettuccine alfredo, cheese ravioli, spaghetti, and minestrone soup. Our server brought us 2 medium size salads with their homemade Italian dressing and some garlic bread. The food came out nicely warm with no complaints. This is the worst Olive Garden I have eaten at. Sadly, its the one in my town, but I don't plan to go back. Salads: one olive, one slice of tomato, a rule as stated by the manager. Wait staff is rude and pushy. Clearly they do not care about customers, just rules and saving money for the owner. Manager could only say he was sorry... but rules are rules, and they must comply. We have given it many, many chances... now we are finished. Don't do it to yourself, plenty of other good options in Williamsburg. read more

This place has great Italian food. The ziti is the best as well as the Alfredo. You get unlimited bread sticks and salad. Our waitress was polite and fast and checked on us a few times. Decided to meet at Olive Garden tonight for my aunt's birthday. Party of 14. Waited 10mins before seated. Our entire party haven't arrived at planned time. We order the basics, Water, coffee, drinks. My mother was first that ordered the unlimited soup & salad offer. The other family came in 15 mins later. Nicole is our waitress today. She placed the our entree orders, then proceed to placed the other family drinks orders. Too much orders to name. However, we waited & waited for the salad. She bought the remaining family members their drinks. Then 20 mins later they arrive with the salad. Literally, 3 minutes later they bought the entrees. Missing condiments, not enough plates, Missing silverware. I don't know if this lady hasn't taken large groups or maybe a off day. A little disappointed that we would have yo wait for the basics, a knife or a condiment to enjoy your food. The savings grace was the to go lady Shalonda. She had personality that she made it fun, interesting and she was on top of her game. I noticed she didn't have her name on her badge. I seen she a got her name badge and put it on. This is the best Olive Garden in the world! The wait to be seated was under 20 mins. The calamari Appetizer was fresh and received in less than 10 mins. after placing my order. The hostess and host were super hospitable. They made me feel welcomed. I ordered Zupa Tuscana and lasagne Classico. The soup was so hot and flavorful. The lasagna was about 2" high and 8" wide, melt I. Your mouth delicious. I could taste the meet creaminess of the cheeses and Italian spices. Then I was able to taste my daughters stuffed shells. OMG! It was buttery and creamy with the right amount of acidity from the tomato sauce. I wanted to request. Lastly, I tasted the chicken and shrimp carbonara. Red bell pepper, grilled chicken, shrimp over fettuccine. It was Creamy and buttery. The shrimp were the size of a 50cent piece and there were at least 7 of them. To sum up my experience it was excellent. This location should be the standard that Olive Gardens follow. Definitely 2 thumbs and 2 feet up in favor of This Olive Garden. read more

Olive Garden is a reliable chain. Delicious and huge portions. That being said this was our worst visit to an Olive Garden based on the service alone. Our server was noticeably nicer to her tables around us and rude to us (noted by our 12yo and 13yo as well). Slammed the appetizer plates on the table when "greeting" us. Gave us a hard time about the kids menu and because the kids wanted to order shirley temples. We still always tip very well despite our 12yo mentioning how she basically threw the chocolates at us at the end and didn't even bid us farewell. Went here with my family. The place was busy the day after Christmas. The kitchen couldn't seem to get it all together but our server, Austyn, was fantastic. I feel badly for him because he is a really good and patient server but has a manager who clearly doesn't support his team. When there is a problem in the kitchen, it is the manager's responsibility to step up and support his crew in the main eating area, and not the server to make it right. When a crappy situation causes a customer to become irritable, the manager should step up and make amends. Not the server. I would take Austyn as a server any day, and I hope he leaves to find a job with a supervisor who supports him. Sadly, because of how the manager handled a bad situation, I won't go back. We waited over 45 minutes for our food... I actually asked another waitress to check on our order because our waitress we only seen 3 times the entire visit. Once food did arrive we were a meal short so 10 more minutes went by before the kids meal arrived and at that time we asked for refills because no one had asked. It was always extremely warm in the corner we were seated in to the point my daughter went and sat outside until everyone finished eating. I did mention it on way out and girl at front area says well we have AC ... instead of asking what area we were seated in. I eat here often and the service has definitely declined kinda sad it was our favorite place to eat as a family. Waitress was nice but not good at producing service or keeping us up to date on our food process. Multiple couples came in after us received their food before us and left before we ever received our meal...so not sure what happened !! read more

It's been awhile since I've been to an Olive Garden and now that my kiddos are a bit older (specifically my boys) we ventured here after our adventure at Jamestown Settlement. Our server, Sean, was wonderful. He timed our salads, apps, and entrees accordingly as well as checking on us throughout our entire meal. He was personable and very friendly. Our dinner was hot, delicious, and of generous portion. We were able to take home our leftovers for another great meal. We had the spinach artichoke, shrimp scampi, shrimp alfredo, chicken alfredo, kids spaghetti, and kids pepperoni pasta. Of course, that didn't stop my kids from ordering dessert. They had the chocolate mousse and there wasn't a bit of it left after they were done. I think they could have each ordered their own because the mousse looked like a very small single serving. The first time I visited was five years and hadn't returned since due to a bad experience, but I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by the clean environment and friendly service. Going on a Sunday after 7p meant there was no wait for a table and even my picky-eater of a daughter enjoyed herself. I really enjoyed the gnocchi and chicken soup myself!
