    Overflowing trash

Disappointing. We walked in and it was very busy, even at two in the afternoon. There's only one person taking orders, but there's a self order kiosk too, so we used that, as there were several people waiting to order. It took about fifteen minutes after ordering to get our food. We cleaned off our table, because it was wet and dirty. By the time we left, the single garbage can was overflowing, and there was nowhere to put our tray. Nobody seemed to notice or care. With five people in back and one one the counter, surely someone had time to empty the trash. We ordered a falafel 'gyro' a chapli kebab, and an order of hummus with pita, plus fries. The pita was fresh and soft, and there ends the good. Everything looked right, but had little flavor other than salt. The falafel were a bright green, and had the right texture, but had none of the herbaceous flavor you'd expect, just salt. The hummus tasted overwhelmingly of cumin. The fries looked well seasoned, but were clearly just fried from a bag of frozen. The chapli kebab was the most disappointing. The texture was that of something with little chicken, lots of filler, that again, came in frozen and was tossed on the grill. This place is filling the late night hungry college student niche, but isn't worth visiting if anywhere else is open.

They are working out the kinks but overall the food is tasty and the service is friendly, if not slow. We have eaten there twice in two days. The first day, opening day, we got rice plates and the second we got gyros. My boyfriend preferred the gyro and I the lamb rice plate. Wait a week and I'm sure they will have it dialed in. Ambiance is cafe.

My first thought was "the Mediterranean version of Chipotle?"…read more I am really glad I decided to get some takeout from them because they had a 2-for-1 meal deal so I got two giant bowls (enough food for 4+ people?) and two interesting drinks for less than $21. Dining out these days often ends up being more like $20+ per person so this was a nice change. I doubt we'll get the cucumber mint drink again but I really liked the cilantro kale blueberry carrot drink. The custom bowls were great. I was only in the restaurant for a couple minutes so all I noticed is that it seemed pretty big and air conditioned.

BEWARE: Double-check your receipt; we were incorrectly upcharged. We ordered a build-your-own bowl…read morewith chicken shawarma, which should have cost $14.55 including tax. Instead, we were charged for a honey harissa chicken signature bowl that costed $17.91. When we first questioned the charge, the employee insisted we received honey harissa chicken. We looked at our bowl and it was clearly chicken shawarma. When we brought it up again, we were told the price difference was only $1. Another employee stepped in and claimed that build-your-own bowls don't include protein and that all protein is an extra charge. We explained that only certain protein options are upcharges (honey harissa chicken + steak and lamb) and asked her to ring the order up again to verify. After checking the register, she realized we were right and refunded the $3 difference. While we appreciate receiving the refund, it's concerning that the employees don't seem to have a basic understanding of their own menu and pricing. They both confidently gave incorrect information before taking a moment to verify the facts. Definitely check your receipts carefully to make sure you're being charged correctly. While we eventually received a refund, we had to dispute the charge multiple times before it was finally corrected. There was no apology--only arguments and repeated explanations for why the charge was supposedly correct. Hopefully management can provide additional training so employees are more familiar with the menu and pricing going forward.
